White Sox vs Cubs First Pitch 3:10 CT
QUOTE (buhbuhburrrrlz @ Jul 2, 2011 -> 11:01 PM) .500 3 games back. we head into the all-star game with 7 games at home against the central. 3 against kc and 4 against the twins. will the twins completely kill our momentum again? They might. We've played decent to good ball of late against everybody except the Central. If we get swept by Minnie again, it will be beyond belief.

Ode To Juan Pierre
I know he's getting some mild props, but this man has won us the last 3 games in a row!! (Along with the pitching staff). Juan baby!!! Show him the love, people. White Sox are back to .500. Juan's WAR has to be improving with 3 straight game winning ribbies!!!

White Sox vs Cubs First Pitch 3:10 CT
well i have to go to work now. Hope we win. If we do, it'll amaze me. At some point you gotta hit the ball for 9 innings.

White Sox vs Cubs First Pitch 3:10 CT
QUOTE (Heads22 @ Jul 2, 2011 -> 09:50 PM) Do you honestly think it has no effect on Dunn? Don't know. If he continues sucking I can't imagine him not just retiring. George Brett couldn't handle hitting .250 after being a god for so long so he quit. Dunn is worst hitter than most pitchers.

White Sox vs Cubs First Pitch 3:10 CT
Fathom may be right. If Dunn keeps this up the rest of this season and is the same next April and May, he may just retire. How can a human being fail for this long and not have it affect them no matter the money?

White Sox vs Cubs First Pitch 3:10 CT
QUOTE (Heads22 @ Jul 2, 2011 -> 09:46 PM) Jesus, the broadcast and the crowd makes it seem like the Cubs just took the lead that inning. They should be fired up. Blowing opportunities like that get you beat on a regular basis and if the Cubs have any balls at all they'll take advantage of that wasted opportunity. Thanks Dunn.

You can't just pray for Adam Dunn to break out of it if you are Ozzie. You bat him EIGHTH OR NINTH.

White Sox vs Cubs First Pitch 3:10 CT
QUOTE (Stan Bahnsen @ Jul 2, 2011 -> 09:45 PM) Why is Dunn our 3 hitter again, exactly? The single worst hitter in baseball bats third. IT MAKES NO SENSE.

White Sox vs Cubs First Pitch 3:10 CT
Dunn batting third makes a mockery of the game. NINTH!!!!

White Sox vs Cubs First Pitch 3:10 CT
QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jul 2, 2011 -> 09:40 PM) Now would be a good time for Dunn to hit the HR I guaranteed earlier. Or a sac fly. A whiff or DP would be comical.

was it well hit? or a nubber? Can you imagine if we win 1-0 somehow Juan would be GWRBI 3 days in a row?

White Sox vs Cubs First Pitch 3:10 CT
QUOTE (aprec32 @ Jul 2, 2011 -> 09:35 PM) If we got no-hit, but still won......would you be happy? No. It'd be a bad sign.

White Sox vs Cubs First Pitch 3:10 CT
Do you pinch hit for Humber this early?

White Sox vs Cubs First Pitch 3:10 CT
Maybe a no hitter in Wrigley finally will get Walk fired.
-
White Sox vs Cubs First Pitch 3:10 CT
I don't like Dunn hitting third ever. How can Ozzie bat him third? It's bad mo jo for our entire team.

White Sox vs Cubs First Pitch 3:10 CT
How many no hitters does Garza have in his career? None I would guess?
-
White Sox vs Cubs First Pitch 3:10 CT
How can you get no hit in Wrigley Field? Amazing. 12 outs left to a no hitter.
-
White Sox vs Cubs First Pitch 3:10 CT
Garza's another one of those guys who knows we have no offense and goes to beat us and take no prisoners.
-
White Sox vs Cubs First Pitch 3:10 CT
So much for Jake's pep talk in the paper. A bad offense is a bad offense. Thank you Adam Dunn for your suckage.
-
White Sox vs Cubs First Pitch 3:10 CT
Do you think a no hitter would send the team reeling?
-
White Sox vs Cubs First Pitch 3:10 CT
Typical offense. We have some momentum and now we're going to get no hit? Great.

Realistic Adam Dunn expectations
QUOTE (DOWNTOWN PANTHER @ Jul 1, 2011 -> 12:03 AM) The season is half way through. I think that the Adam Dunn experiment can be called a failure to this point. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jul 1, 2011 -> 04:47 PM) I really didn't remember so many people being opposed to the Dunn signing. I guess we can no longer say, "Well, everybody loved it at the time." I blame all this on Adam. I destroyed Humber during the offseason and for now I look like a fool. I stroked the s*** out of Dunn and he's betrayed me. Nobody outside of Kalapse was more stoked about getting Dunn. One of my fantasy teams is named Adam Dunn. Yes, I get an A for creativity. Ok, not really. 1.) Captain Obvious on that one. 2.) You know you can change the names of teams in fantasy baseball at any time? I'd change the team name of Adam Dunn to Phil Humber.

Hair-Brained scheme idea for next year
QUOTE (Wanne @ Jul 2, 2011 -> 07:40 PM) The best possible "additions" we could add would be a few "subtractions" of some dead weight IMO...hard to do both at the same time. I kinda doubt we're "all in" next year. Of course it depends on the second half of this season...but we've been down this road before. This "All In" figures to be a one-year thing. Right now we're one under .500 and all-in. We are only in the race because of the division we play in. If Sox don't win division handily, this all in stuff will be a thing of the past. Our payroll figures to go down drastically with the team dumping most anybody who makes a buck not named Paulie or Mark.
