"On paper" do we still have a good offense? Would a lot of hitting coaches like to have what we have "on paper?"

QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Jul 3, 2011 -> 07:45 PM) He is one of a long line of sub 90 RHPs who have dominated us with crap. Keep it low and away and throw the ball in the dirt every so often. Its the Twins way of pitching against us. We are an aggressive team with little to no plan at the plate. Hence why the twins feast on us with their pitching attack. Hence my sig. If the Twins win all four in the Cell, that will be sad.

QUOTE (Soxfest @ Jul 3, 2011 -> 07:44 PM) Then I NEVER want to hear anything about attendance EVER from any Sox brass, you reap what you sow. Very true. How can they sell any tickets for the KC series? Nobody only wants to watch good pitching.

QUOTE (Soxfest @ Jul 3, 2011 -> 07:41 PM) And the other 80! That's an overstatement. How bout Rios' OBP; Dunn, Beckham, Lexi's slumps, Morel's average-ness, the list goes on. Like somebody said, it's Paulie and pray for rain.

QUOTE (Cerbaho-WG @ Jul 3, 2011 -> 07:41 PM) Another 123 inning. Unless greg walker is hit by a truck in the next few days, there is no way this team makes the playoffs. This is just infuriating. It's definitely not a playoff caliber offense. It puts so much pressure on the pitching, I don't see this as a playoff team.

With one run yesterday and this crap today, yes we should be thrilled with winning 2 of 3.

QUOTE (Swingandalongonetoleft @ Jul 3, 2011 -> 07:36 PM) im at the game and i can tell- andthere is af***ing pole obstructing my view of the mound. dude is the sox worst pitcher and needs vagisil. How you can blame him and not this offense confuses me.

QUOTE (Soxfest @ Jul 3, 2011 -> 07:32 PM) JP play 2 decent games out of 83 and he gives the I told ya so crap............FU Guillen! Without Pierre the last 3 games we'd be in deep dark moods right now.

I thought the offense would heat up when the summer got going. If we can't hit this starter, we can't hit any starter, though KC has some really bad ones as well.

QUOTE (FlySox87 @ Jul 3, 2011 -> 07:24 PM) Humber had mediocre stuff yesterday and the same miserable offense. But he's a gamer so he put his head down and got the win. Gavin, not so much. Yeah, but 3-0 after 4 innings? I could at least be 3-3 or 6-3 White Sox against this hack of a pitcher.

QUOTE (FlySox87 @ Jul 3, 2011 -> 07:23 PM) I have no interest in watching Gavin Floyd pitch. I looked at the MLBTV screen one last time, and you can see it in his eyes. He's just weakminded. I'm going to the gym. Adios. How can you tell that? Ramirez is a pretty good hitter.

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Jul 3, 2011 -> 07:22 PM) Tigers with the bases loaded, down by 1. Indians clawing their way back as well. I haven't been scoreboard watching since that awful April/May. I just watch our games.
-
QUOTE (FlySox87 @ Jul 3, 2011 -> 07:18 PM) Gavin Floyd is the most overrated pitcher on this team. Who ever thought this guy was actually good? He's Jon Garland Part II. I swear, if we decide to get rid of the 6 man rotation and Humber goes to the pen and not this guy, I'm straight up done with this team. Heaven forbid we score early runs and give Floyd some support. Not that he's pitching well by any means, but our offense is so bad it is the major problem.
-
Teams have been beating the Royals by just showing up. We better not let Gordon, Moustakas and Hosmer kick our ass.
-
I'm glad Ramirez didn't do more damage in the crosstown series. There have been some close games where he coulda hurt us. 4 of 6 ain't bad if we don't come back today.
-
QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jul 3, 2011 -> 07:16 PM) ROD RIGO LO PEZ IS BEATING US Wait til you see the stiffs the Royals throw out there against us.
-
That hurt. Cubs won't strand him at third.
-
What would happen if the Sox ever got a 5-0, 6-0 lead in the early innings?
-
Since we can't hit homers today with the wind, are we gonna be the ones shut out, 1-0 or 2-0 today?
-
Dunn isn't going to magically start hitting. He either needs to reinvent his stroke or be DL'ed for a month and see if it comes back. Sox need to take advantage of that error (hit).
-
Just put Dunn on the DL and get it over with.
-
Bummer. Lexi's lift and pull thwarted by the wind. Dunn hit the ball! Bad him eighth, Ozzie.
-
Beautiful. We catch a break on a perfect defensive play with a slow runner. Let's get some runs.
-
QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Jul 3, 2011 -> 07:02 PM) Man Sox are about to get right back in the race and half of this thread is melting down over no runs scored through 3 innings. And with that 8k posts. Cause the offense continues to do nothing and the dreaded Central Division games are coming. This offense is horrible.

Anybody ever sit in those rooftops at Wrigley? How do you get up there? Narrow stairwell? Are there bathrooms? Is it enjoyable?
