Menechino is movable
Yep - saw that... thanks. Depressing.

Menechino is movable
I was hoping to see numbers.

I seriously wonder how much of that is Leury’s AB’s? I know others have been dismal, but I am curious to see the relative “contributions”

So, if they were us, a pretty tough schedule.

They didn’t just find him. They developed him.

Davis Martin 2023 Starter?
I think Martin as the 6th starter is a reasonable plan for a contender.

Twins @ Guardians series 9/16-9/19
You're looking at it right now if you're looking at their active roster

9/17: Sox at DET, game 2 (5:10c/6:10e)
Always reminded me of Waluigi

I don't remember the Paniagua thing.... the only thing I remember him for is that his Anglicized name was Joe Bread-and-Water.

Well, there was the one for sure....

9/17: Sox at DET, game 2 (5:10c/6:10e)
You know, if you would have told me going into the top of the 10th inning that Pollock (leadoff hitter) would reach 2nd base, I probably would have predicted the outcome we got.

Which team(s) older than 20 years would you say are less likeable?

9/17: Sox at DET, game 2 (5:10c/6:10e)
Except technically that first thing that led to the rundown. Should have been a routine grounder. Instead turned into a potentially horrible situation that he was at least able to recover from.

I mean, technically he did leave 2B. Progress?

9/17: Sox at DET, game 2 (5:10c/6:10e)
Trying to find a way to draw a metaphor to the mishandling of various players' injuries (and the insistence on NOT ILing players until they've played shorthanded a handful of games), but I can't think that fast right now.

I mean, we were just stating the completely obvious.

You haven't been watching the Sox play the Royals this year, have you?

Am I allowed to say that Kelly looks good right now? Or will that ruin things?

9/17: Sox at DET, game 2 (5:10c/6:10e)
I understand that. Trying to compromise since the team insists he has to be active to be able to play defense in CF.

My Gawd Luis is awful at the plate right now. Can we just use our DH on him instead of the pitcher?

Bases loaded, nobody out in the 7th....

Kopech to IL, Martin up.
We'll see. To me, 2023 is the bellwether season for him. We knew going into 2022 that he'd be ramping up. We'd see his velocity decrease, arm tire out, and preventative stints on the IL. Given that, I'm willing to give a somewhat of a pass on his 2022 season as far as durability and sustainment are concerned. 2023 is the big test - he's got his innings up closer to a starter's workload (120IP and counting... nearly a career high for him, including minors), and he's going to be an established member of the rotation with routines worked out, etc.

1-0 seems insurmountable.

Physical error you expect out of a rookie occasionally in the spotlight. Not acceptable, but I'm giving Romy the benefit of the doubt... at least half as much as the team seems to have given other fielders.
