If I'm reading this right, the Sox went 0-3 on 9 pitches in the bottom of the 8th. That's one fearsome 3-4-5 of the lineup.

Especially facing Cole the following day. Some might say that would be something of a white flag itself, but we were *in* the game last night, until we weren't.

After reading Rosenthal's article in the Athletic, I'd just as soon the Sox not press a running game on these guys. Evidently the Yanks have been putting serious effort into defensing the running game to good effect..
