Why do you think the Yankees helped us get Bartolo instead of the Red Sox? So it'd be easier for them to sign him after this season. Had he gone to Boston, he could have hurt the Yankees in the division race this season and also possibly in the playoffs. And if Colon had liked Boston, he would've most likely stayed in Boston, which Steinbrenner didn't want to happen. So they help us land Colon, let us have him for a year, then come and scoop him up. Not saying it's 100% gonna happen, but I will say that if Colon resigns with us, I'll be in shock.

I'm going to go on record right now as saying that Bartolo Colon will NOT resign with the Sox. You heard it here first.

You've got a few major problems in your salary listings. First off, Ordonez will make $14 million next season. Secondly, you have Buehrle scheduled in at 500K. He's going to make a few million next season after his arbitration hearing this offseason. His salary will most likely be at $3 million. Additionally, Cabrera and Castillo will not come to the Sox for those prices you are discussing. They'll get more from another team or take less to play somewhere else. And to top it all off, we aren't going to be able to unload Koch. Konerko is possible, but highly unlikely.

We are playing the NL East. Going to play at Montreal and the Mets. Then two home series versus 2 of the 3 (Marlins, Phillies, Braves). We'll probably play Florida for sure since we didn't play them last time.
