  1. Ironic this post has come from someone with the name CQMVP Quentin - move of the year in all of baseball Ramirez - excellent find Swisher - better than BA; better than Sweeney; better than Owens; he made our team better, how much is debateable OC - Would you have wanted Uribe there at SS all year? Plus, our pitching has actually done a decent job if you look at the season as a whole. And he'll give us 2 picks next year Linebrink - lights out until he got hurt Dotel - awesome 80% of the time; still a tremendous upgrade from what he had and what he have in the minors
  2. MacDougal looked decent. At least thats one positive
  3. QUOTE (sin city sox fan @ Sep 2, 2008 -> 08:52 PM) I just hope Baltimore can come back tonight as well....so we can gain a game on Boston in the wild card race. What are you smoking?
  4. Unreal. I dont want hin pitching again this year unless its a 10 run game
  5. Welcome back Boone Logan. And the two most crucial at bats of this game have been handled by call-ups from Charlotte. Brilliant
  6. Dennys Reyes just owned Lyle Overbay. Blue Jays strand 2
  7. QUOTE (daa84 @ Sep 2, 2008 -> 08:25 PM) thankfully it didnt cost us....wow braves were up 10-3 and are now down 13-10 in the 5th I love the Marlins
  8. QUOTE (daa84 @ Sep 2, 2008 -> 08:24 PM) with expanded rosters i really question why DJ was in the game to start his third inning... i know hindsight is 20/20, but i was thinkin it at the start of the inning I thought the same thing. He gives us 2 innings a lot, but going more is always pushing it.
  9. QUOTE (daa84 @ Sep 2, 2008 -> 08:16 PM) best 0-2 hitter ive ever seen ....bobby abreu In recent memory I'd agree, i see him a lot on YES and he always seems to come through on 0-2 and/or with 2 outs
  10. Minnesota's 3-4-5 just went in order in the 7th
  11. Thome vs a lefty in a clutch situation late...hopefully he can come through here with a gapper
  12. Especially following a walk, he should have been patient
  13. QUOTE (Kalapse @ Sep 2, 2008 -> 08:02 PM) He was actually listed at a TE. I can't imagine he got in the game much on blocking downs, he'd be killed. You gotta be kidding
  14. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Sep 2, 2008 -> 07:59 PM) Not counting extentions, we really haven't had all too many FA in the KW era. There's been a bunch of relievers but not all too much more. Gooch would certainly rank with the best of them. DJ Carrasco In all seriousness though, he has been a life saver this year so far
  15. QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 2, 2008 -> 07:58 PM) Agreed...AJP was a significantly bigger free agent acquisition than Iguchi. And I initially hated it, b/c at the time I was not a fan of AJ's haha
  16. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Sep 2, 2008 -> 07:57 PM) Not to mention he looks pretty athletic. Why no one has shown him to the weight room is beyond me. He was a WR at UCLA, IIRC, so it is strange that he never seemed to put on muscle cuz you know his football team must have been in there all the time.
  17. QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Sep 2, 2008 -> 07:55 PM) I never said it wasn't. I said "for sure" to his statement. I was just saying that the Iguchi one was a huge sleeper signing as well. We've had a lot of good signings though. I just found it odd that you decided to randomly lump that one in there. Gooch was good, but IMO not even in the same ballpark
  18. QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Sep 2, 2008 -> 07:51 PM) For sure. Iguchi was a good one, too. Dye signing >>>>> Iguchi signing
  19. I understand saving CQ for later, but BA, Getz or even Toby Hall should have been at the plate there
  20. QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 2, 2008 -> 07:46 PM) Let Getz or Griffey or CQ bat for Owens! Bat CQ now or save him for later?
