That was a big win, especially considering what happened earlier. Good job Bobby -

QUOTE (Nokona @ Aug 25, 2008 -> 06:38 PM) I will be using this amongst people who aren't supporting him. I dont support him, but its awesome someone who is in the public eye as much as him is a Sox fan. It is pretty cool

QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Aug 25, 2008 -> 06:55 PM) If you want to rip on Ozzie here, go ahead. There is certainly NO excuse to have A.J. bunting here. Thats a toss up to me. I can see arguments for and against a bunt there. AJ just did a terrible job. -

Huge DP. Too bad one batter too late. We can score a run to tie it, i just fear we'll see 3 pop ups due to 3 HR swings -

QUOTE (jphat007 @ Aug 25, 2008 -> 06:42 PM) He gave us two chances. How many do we need? You're right. He gave us two innings, but after those two Ozzie should have gone to the pen. If there was no game 2 i guarantee he would have. He shouldnt change how he manages for this. -

QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Aug 25, 2008 -> 06:41 PM) Still not going to the pen. Ozzie doesn't care about this game? Thats what I dont get. Of the two games, this is the one we need, but it seems he's playing for game 2 and this is a whatever game -

Decision to be Made on Wise in Baltimore
ChiSox_Sonix replied to elrockinMT's topic in Pale Hose Talk
QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Aug 25, 2008 -> 01:29 PM) That was mentioned as a possibility since JO has stolen like 26 bases or so at Charlotte and is hitting better. But, I still like Crede now with JO as a Sept. call up Actually, I wouldnt mind doing the opposite. Bring up Owens now and Crede on Sept 1st. That takes advantage of the loophole in the playoff roster rule. Also, it gives us a legit PR and another OF which is important since Griffey is pinch run for or replaced in the field every time he plays. -
Looking forward to House, Dexter, Lost, Prison Break and 24 for dramas and HIMYM, 30 Rock, Office on the sitcom end. Also I'm probably gonna be checking out a new show on USA called Raising the Bar. It looks like it could be interesting.

QUOTE (Heads22 @ Aug 25, 2008 -> 10:21 AM) Nice to see Danks heat up. Would like to see him and Gordon in AA next year. Question for the minor league guys. Several people have mentioned wanting to see them in AA next year (I would too) while some have said that might be pushing it. So my question is, playing ball at big-time D1 schools, what does that equate to on the minor league side if you had to make a comparison?

QUOTE (wilmot825 @ Aug 24, 2008 -> 10:44 PM) Hey Cub fan, calm down. We are just excited that a call went our way and the great A.J. was behind it again. I find it funny that when people make a comment that goes against the Sox, they get labeled as a Cub fan. Anyways, his point was that it was the wrong call, which is probably was. If the situation was reversed this board would be in an uproar. However, I wont compain or apologize for the call since it did in fact help us win. Think of it as a makeup for the Cleveland game in the opening series that we got jobbed on.

QUOTE (knightni @ Aug 24, 2008 -> 05:21 PM) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doug_Eddings You should have seen it before I edited it. Well this is still on his wikipedia page: He is thought to be the illegimate love child of Helen Keller and well-known Chicago White Sox broadcaster, Hawk Harelson, which may explain his knack for improperly ruling in favor of the White Sox and his inability to audibly announce his rulings on the field of play.
