Eh, it had it's moments, but was nowhere near as great as Rushmore. But I'd take Aquatic over the copycat crap that is Napolean Dynamite anyday of the friggin' week.

Still feeling "fuzzy" man, you can't change that.

QUOTE(YASNY @ Jan 10, 2006 -> 12:41 PM) Never cared for the vid avs either. But Kid, yours is an exception to the rule. Awww, now I'm feeling all "warm and fuzzy". Thanks.

QUOTE(sox4lifeinPA @ Jan 10, 2006 -> 12:31 PM) Start to finish, best poster on Soxtalk.com Member of "The Cult Of Texsox".

QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jan 10, 2006 -> 12:10 PM) They usually bog down my work computer... Too much crap on our network. Well, sounds like a personal problem and you just insist on taking it out on our poor avatars that are just trying to fit in with the rest of Avatar Society.

QUOTE(Leonard Zelig @ Jan 10, 2006 -> 08:18 AM) Can you get Boulevard in Chicago? It's made in Kansas City, and their Pale Ale is very tasty. No you can't. My mom lives in Rochester Minnesota and every visit requires me to bring a few cases of Boulevard back, along with Schells Pilsner. My boss LOVES Boulevard. I find them O.K. A little too watery for me. I have the Bully Porter and Pale in my fridge right now.

QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jan 10, 2006 -> 08:28 AM) I like them except for the vid avys. They break up the reading and give a reflection of personalities that can be hard to gleen off of the black and white of a persons postings. So ya don't like mine???

QUOTE(3E8 @ Jan 10, 2006 -> 10:13 AM) The speed of light is ~3 x 10^8 m/s. 3 x 10^8 = 3E8. I'm that fast. And you're a nerd? QUOTE(tonyho7476 @ Jan 10, 2006 -> 09:59 AM) My name is Tony, my last name starts with Ho, and 7476 is my birthdate. That's right, I was born on July 4th, 1976. I am a bi-centennial birthday boy. Bow down! That's really friggin' cool! Shame of it though is that you have no idea how silly this country was on your birthday.

QUOTE(RockRaines @ Jan 10, 2006 -> 10:02 AM) Likes to brag.

QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Jan 10, 2006 -> 09:34 AM) Has a perfect ass on his avatar, unless it is Paris Hilton. Is a master of his universe...but what about his domain.

QUOTE(mreye @ Jan 10, 2006 -> 09:35 AM) Popeye's formal name - Mr. Eye My av was given to me by Steff. I've actually always wondered if you were a Monsters Inc. fan or what! LOL! So, are you a Popeye fan, or was it just a funny idea?

I'm obsessed with "old things", especially from the early 20th century up through the 50's. So I wanted to use "old-time Baseball". In doing so I wanted a name different than the much-used Joe Jackson. I always felt sorry for Kid, as from everything I have read is that he was a great guy, a great Baseball mind, and he just got screwed over and he never recovered from it really. So, it's my way of keeping him alive. It was also my name on the MLB boards. My avatar goes back to the "old thing", plus the Creature is one of my fave monsters. Plus, it's just really friggin' cool. Signature...that "old thing" again. Plus the fact that Groucho Marx was teh greatest comedic mind of all-time. Nobody comes close to Groucho, nobody. He was also a hell of a great human being. The final one is my site.

Jeffery Westhoff of The Northwest Herald had an interesting review of Brokebacl Mountain. Maybe one of you who have seen it can tell me how well he hits the nail on the head:

QUOTE(KevHead0881 @ Jan 9, 2006 -> 10:00 PM) Has an affinity for smelly mascots that seem to be inspired by Gonzo from the Muppets. Is that you Mr. Shorts???

Missed the point of my post.

QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Jan 9, 2006 -> 05:15 PM) Is an old man. See avy: RIP BLUE! Just made me laugh out loud.

QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Jan 9, 2006 -> 05:11 PM) Continues to break thread rules. Still likes old men.

Not one of my faves, but anytime a beer finally makes a debut at a new area is always a reason for celebration.

I love avatars, as long as the person using them has given some thought to what they are using. I've seen some great ones, and I've seen some that are just stupid. I don't like it when people just use the generic ones offered up by some sites. I mean, give it some thought people!

Has a thing for old men in wrestling outfits.

Lost the funny avatar and has moved on to one of...ohhhh...I don't know...one that gets the curiosity going...

QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Jan 9, 2006 -> 02:45 PM) Yeah, when he tells his own stories he is a good storyteller. He butchers other peoples stories though. I still havent forgiven him for the atrocities that have followed Jurassic Park in that series. He should have renamed it "Whatever and Wherever the hell I want to do with Dinosaurs Park", and told Michael Crichton to stop writing books that make the story better. War Of the Worlds wasn't his own story. It was based on the book by HG Wells, written in 1898.

QUOTE(DePloderer @ Jan 9, 2006 -> 01:53 PM) Has an avatar that frightens my kids! Can probably get Shepherds Neame brews, and of that I am jealous since I have heard how wonderful the stuff is.

Has an avatar that makes me laugh everytime I see it.

After all the time I have spent on message boards with REAL film experts, and all the time I spent reviewing movies in magazines and for websites I have come to one conclusion: Nobody knows crap about what makes a movie good and nobody can tell you what you should and shouldn't like. I quit reviewing movies because I finally came to the conclusion that I had no right to actually tell people what was good and what wasn't. All I could do was give a plot synopsis and an idea of what the movie was like. Personal opinion is all personal opinion. I like numerous movies being listed in this thread, and I don't like numerous movies being listed in the other thread, but my opinions are no more valid than anybody elses. I also got sick of the snobbery and elitism that people seem to find within movies and I got tired of being scoffed at for enjoying something as simple as a movie that was meant to do nothing more than take my mind away for 90 minutes. Some movies are meant to be simple and easy to mentally digest. I now review what I truely know, music, and I try to limit it to the style I know about, and to try and not force opinions onto people with those reviews.
