Went out to dinner on Friday, got home and proceeded to have my daughter kick my wifes and my butt at Disney Scene It. Went out shopping with the family on Saturday, looking for presents for my sons upcoming birthday (this Friday...the...13th...). Ate at Famous Dave's for lunch. God bless BBQ. Went home that night and the wife and I watched Wedding Crashers. Got up Sunday, did a little household work, got some more of my old bands demos loaded to my Multiply site (see link below) and then proceeded to work on material I am writing for my sister-in-laws upcoming wedding. I'm writing a song for during the ceremony (to be sung by her grandma) and then I am playing during the dinner. That and I am also standing-up in the wedding. Should be a busy day I think. My wife also booked tickets and hotel for a trip to Vegas this summer. My first time going. Then I walked on the treadmill (Tex ain't the only one doing massive hiking...) and then I went to bed. Exciting life I lead...I know. Critic, are you ever NOT sick???

Did a little looking around, and it appears she is quite successful already. Also, for the "she like women" comment, I can't seem to find where she is a "lesbian" in any of the stuff. She comes from the Christian music scene, and I am not too sure how friendly they are towards people of "alternative lifestyles". Plus she takes her kids on tour with her.

The song sucks. The rest of her material though is not bad at all. She's got talent, no doubt about it. Shame that she might get hurt by a crappy tune probably done just for fun. She's also kind of cute.

I've heard the only full-frontal nudity in Brokeback Mountain is from the female leads. I still have no plans on ever seeing it, but I say that about 95% of the Drama/Love Story movies released. It's just not something of interest to me. Best movies I've seen this year? Godzilla Final Wars War Of The Worlds Batman Begins Land Of The Dead Wedding Crashers I can't think of any others off the top of my head.

I'm sorry Steff, this just broke my heart. Pass along my sympathies.

In all honesty I believe that every single human is subject to some prejudice. What seperates us is how we confront it and how we use it. I know I have some prejudism towards certain races and groups, but I will never let it get in my way towards an individual. I'm not a "bigot", but I do feel better around certain races than I do around others, and I believe every single person is the same way.

Wow, you must have one of the first years! Sometimes crappy guitars are the best guitars. You can find collectors who are dedicated to the crappy guitars. I know a guy who collects Hondo's. He has about 20 of the stinking things. I have one, and I would never consider collecting them. I got it when I was 10 and I had to learn guitar maintenance right away! LOL! Squire ain't bad though, and if I were to HAVE to HAVE a Strat in my collection, I would buy a Squire version. I just rarely see the praise of them. Just like Epiphone, they are the unjustly neglected guitars.
-
Nah, no war. My fave guitar companies are: Hagstrom Epiphone (old classic original line, though I do love my new Zephyr) Gretsch and I would love to own a nice Guild Jazz box. Fender was never known for archtops, so that is why I am not a fan of Fender. If they ain't hollow at all, I have very little interest in them.

QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Jan 6, 2006 -> 07:34 PM) Put me down as a Heineken fan, although ever since they've started selling Corona's down here, haven't really moved away from that. Although Jim you'll be pleased to know, I did have a Leffe Beer at a Bar down in Melbourne 2 days before XMas. I was honestly shocked they had it on tap quite frankly. But uh yes, back to the all important issue of Lohan's bulimia. I've become quite the fan of your countries Cooper's Best Extra Stout. That stuff is REALLY quite good!

QUOTE(Rex Kickass @ Jan 6, 2006 -> 06:12 PM) And Squire ...ummmm...wow...the praise of a Squire...I presume you have one?
-
Fender...ugh...best thing about Fender is that they own Gretsch. Otherwise...ew.

Heineken is "icky". It tastes like a macro US imitating a German beer with funky imitation tastes. IMO. Just a weird flavor. Oh, and the one Heinie commercial kills me. It's O.K. to set fire to a $1000+ Gibson Les Paul, but NOT O.K. to spill your lowsy beer on it. Sorry, I'm holding auditions, if the person sets fire to their guitar, I'm hitting them with the damn beer bottle.

My sister met him in an airport a few years ago. She said he was a REALLY nice guy and seemed thrilled to be speaking with a fan. RIP Lou.

QUOTE(supernuke @ Jan 6, 2006 -> 10:40 AM) What the hell are you people talking about. Damn. I used to be with it, but now what I'm with isn't it and what is it is strange and scary. Trust me, those albums I listed are NOT popular music. Though, Robin Black is from your country and should be HUGE...but alas...he isn't...yet. http://www.robinblackrocks.com/

QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Jan 4, 2006 -> 11:32 PM) Strange, I didn't peg you as a Heineken guy. Smart ass. Actually, the Heinie Dark isn't too bad if in a pinch, as I was a few years ago at a Christmas party.

QUOTE(The Critic @ Jan 6, 2006 -> 08:45 AM) that guy needs to have his dick cut off and stuck in a jar. Sprinkle it with glitter first though.

One of the greatest bands ever, if not THE greatest band ever.

QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Jan 5, 2006 -> 03:06 PM) Well, the UK did drop the charges against Townshend, so it seems at least some people found his story credible. O.K., it looks as if I will retract my comments. I'm sorry.

QUOTE(hammerhead johnson @ Jan 5, 2006 -> 02:34 PM) If you were blown away by a live concert with the 2001 version of the Who and no Keith Moon, then holy s***, you should hear some of the soundboard concerts from 1968-1975. There's like 25 to 30 of them, including a few official releases. Maybe I should invite Critic and Kid Gleason over to help me evaluate all of them. You guys would absolutely love my bootleg collection. Hey, I'm not anti-Who. I think they did some pretty good stuff. I just am not a slobbering fan of theirs, and I think Pete should have been locked up for his crime and find it ridiculous that people look past the fact that he was busted for kiddie porn. I'm surprised Gary Glitter isn't also using the "research" excuse seeing as how it worked so well for Pete. But musically I like 'em just fine. I think Moon was a heck of a sloppy/wacky drummer who was all over the place, but that is just personal taste. But heck, considering Kenny Jones replaced Moon, there is no way I could ever HATE The Who. Pink Floyd now then, they bore me to tears, and I have enjoyed much Prog Rock in my time.

QUOTE(hammerhead johnson @ Jan 4, 2006 -> 10:50 PM) Yeah, maybe after like 16 heinekens. Finally, somebody with some sensibility.

Yeah, that Cartels caught me also. Though I think The Orphan Punks might have a few words with them about a couple of songs. The Cartels are now Crystal Pistol. http://www.crystalpistol.com/

Yeah, I bounced around my computer, tried another install, it said it was already there and nothing else needed to be done. Thanks! Sad thing is that I forwarded all the info to my company headquarters, and they tell me that they would rather kill all internet use instead of using this patch. :headshake So we have all been told to stay away from the 'net. Our main comp. guy is out of town and in his place is a bit of an...ummm...yeah...so we just wait for the main guy to get back.

The patch seems to be an .exe file that you double click on, it installs, and then restarts your computer. I haven't found where the thing is so that I would need to do anything more with it. I'm still looking though...
