This game is probably for the series. They face Valdez tomorrow, and he's been very good lately. Wins in 5/6 since they saw him in Chicago, and the other game was a ND after 8IP 1ER. Gusto should be an easier matchup, especially if they keep working counts.

Julks 2-3 with 2BB, Fletcher 2-4 with a 2B Eduardo Herrera, last year's biggest IFA, looks much improved in his second crack at DSL On the pitching side, Bockenstedt in WS (6IP, 0ER, 2H, 2BB, 6K) and Shane Murphy for Bham (7IP, 0ER, 1H, 1BB, 5K) especially stood out. Murphy's outing was a career best. His ERA is down to 1.47. Birmingham graduated/lost to injury several top arms and still has the best team ERA in the Southern League.
