  1. I might be wrong...but after a quick look at 2022 lineups, I think we've already surpassed in the opening series the number of games where all five of TA7, Eloy, Yaz, Yo, and Luis started in the entirety of last year. As far as I can tell, this happened exactly twice last year: on 8/4-5, games 105 and 106, vs Texas. And they were both with post-wrist injury Robert, and still not fully healthy Yaz/Yo. TA would suffer his hand injury in game 107, the last of the series. It might actually be impossible to overstate how much injury decimated this squad last year.
  2. After four games against a formidable Astros hitting staff, the Chicago White Sox currently lead the majors in XBH.
  3. Let's not forget the other clutch run-saving catch from our second Cuban outfielder, by the way!
  4. I bookmarked it immediately for...reasons.
  5. Good experience for Reylo to battle through that. Hopefully it helps him stay more composed in the future. Good on the boys playing good defense behind him, and securing crucial insurance runs vs. the Houston pen.
  6. You know what? Maybe it's good to let him work through some 9th inning jitters here when he's got a buffer.
  7. Up 5, feels like we could have saved Reylo maybe?
  8. He was hitting 96 in ST according to the beat writers, but it might have gone unnoticed without Statcast.
  9. I understand trying to steal an inning vs. the bottom of the order when the pen has 12 outs to cover.
  10. Throwing opposing HRs back on the field is so lame. Give it to a kid if you don't want it, but what's the point of inconveniencing the players and everyone else.
  11. IIRC, the Astros' pitching had the highest strand rate in baseball last year. Some of the RISP trouble is "White Sox being White Sox" but I'd suggest a good portion of it is also "Astros being Astros." They do this to everyone.
  12. Can we switch Elvis' first and second ABs? That would at least have been a sac fly before.
  13. Yaz and Yo being healthy and hitting is such a gamechanger.
  14. Throwing over purely to reset the clock is an interesting strategy.
  15. The difference in this series is a Kyle Tucker catch and like 2 timely hits on either side.
  16. Haseley with another HR. Maybe he's figured something out.
  17. White Sox Fans: I hope Grifol sticks to a relatively consistent lineup, unlike TLR Also White Sox Fans: Grifol needs to shift multiple players up and down the order based on a 3 game sample In fact, Luis was 2-4 in the first game, so it's more like a 2 game sample. FWIW:
  18. Josh Harrison continued his position player pitching duties very early for the Phils this season.
  19. Haseley staying hot in Charlotte. 2-3 today with 2 walks, a stolen base, and a walkoff 2 run HR.
