They can offer him a contract, if he says no, they can just cut him lose and not offer arbitration. Or i'm i missing something?

First off, if KW really had a deal on monday for just prospects, he would have done it, its obvious the Giants were looking to dump salary and the Sox's were not a good option.

If Ritchie takes a 1 year 1 million base salary + incentives, i say give him another chance, he CAN'T be worse then last season.

No way, Magz has 2 years left on his contract and already likes the Sox's enough to give them a discount. Vlad would leave after this season, I'd keep Magz.
