My friend just called me and said he heard Peter Gammons say Russ Ortiz would be traded to the White Sox either today or tomorrow on ESPNews. The if C.Lee is involved this will be a steal.

Muzoz has a good killer curve and a reliever with a trick pitch is noramlly pretty good. If we get Ortiz and Ainsworth for PK, then i'll be happy with the trade.

Vlad would want around 20 mil per year, and if JR gives anyone 20 mil per year, i'd have a heart attack. And we stiil dont have enough pitching to be world series contenders. All these years of losing have totally taken away any hope i had left.

I though this was his last year of his contract, he makes something like 12 mil this season, then he's a FA. Plus:

What about Tony Armas Jr., he's due for a break out season and only makes 500Kish money. We might be able to get him fairly cheap.

Well Borchard, Rauch, Malon, Harris, Stewart+ 1 more position player for Vlad and Vazquez might be enough. But that would kill of farm.

Dont forget about Guerrero, they'll probably get tons of offers for Vlad. Maybe some one will give them what they want (what that could be i couldn't even begin to imagine)

There no looking for a FA 1b, there trying to dump extra salary bacause they have to many good players killing them in arbitration. They probably need to cut about 10-12 mil off there budget.

If the 'Spos are looking to dump salary, theres no way they'd want Carlos, who is gonna make something like 3.5 mil this year. Something like Rauch or Corwin Malone, +Harris/Hummel or Stewart for Vazquez and KW would probably give up that much.
