  1. Still no idea why they allowed Eberflus to come back rather than starting fresh with a new coach to go along with your new QB.
  2. Outcoached, outplayed, outmatched. End of story. Getting owned by Will Levis.
  3. Velus Jones needs to be released after the game but Poles’ ego won’t let him cuz he spent a 3rd round pick on him.
  4. The Bears look completely overmatched.
  5. Caleb overthrowing the balls as much as Fields.
  6. I assume this is the same team that Photoshopped A.J. Hinch’s signature on the TLR manager announcement. 🤣
  7. You have to release Velus Jones after the game. The bum still can’t catch a ball cleanly on a return without muffing it.
  8. Exactly. That has nothing to do with the payroll. That’s just your GM being an idiot. Why would you trust the recommendation of an assistant hitting coach to acquire Vargas when you fire that same coach a week later? Did Getz not have any clue he was going to fire Tosar a week after the trade deadline?
  9. Could a better GM than Getz gotten back better prospects/players than what Getz did in his deals (Bummer trade, Fletcher, Vargas, etc.)? Yes, end of story. Cali is sweeping a broad brush over everything, while there are still ways the team could have been improved. None of those trades involved a lot of money in which JR was a bottleneck. These bad trades were all on Getz’s poor assessment of players.
  10. It’s just yet another BS post to try to claim that no other GM than Getz could have done any better, and that Getz did exactly what JR wanted — dumped salary. It’s fake news. A real GM could have gotten back value for a 4 WAR starting pitcher on a cheap contract as well as a relief pitcher thrown in. Getz got back yet another pile of crap, just like the Bummer trade.
  11. It’s really too easy at this point. Certain posters have been defending Getz all season and yet he didn’t even need a full season to prove how bad his moves are. The amazing thing is that there is absolutely anyone that would put any effort into trying to defend Getz at this point. I will add one to your list. Passing on trading Fedde for 22-year old Twins 2B/CF prospect Luke Keaschall for Vargas. Keaschall had TJ surgery but he’s younger, hasn’t started his service time yet, and would fit the Sox timeline better than Vargas. He also hasn’t yet been a complete and utter failure with the bat and glove in the majors like Vargas. But you can’t trade Fedde within the division! Wouldn’t want Fedde ruining our chance at competing with the Twins for the division next season in the last year of Fedde’s contract before he hits free agency.
  12. No, I couldn’t have predicted that but I do know of three players that Getz acquired that don’t — Lopez, Fletcher, and Vargas. And that’s a fact! Getz traded for and paid Nicky Lopez $3.5 million dollars more than Romy to put up a 0 WAR and .600 OPS at second base. 🤡
  13. Exactly. Getz got some props for the Fedde signing when he panned out and pitched great. Well, all of those accolades should have been negated when Getz traded a 4 WAR starting pitcher (now at 5.3 WAR) for the biggest piece of junk in the dumpster. Ultimately, the great Fedde signing meant absolutely nothing in the grand scheme of things, which should be improving the Sox.
  14. $4.3 million for Little Nicky. $740K for Romy. I can’t wait to see what dumpster diving Getz does next offseason.
  15. The Marlins return for Puk is so much better than what the Sox got for Kopech too. They were big winners of the trade deadline. Meanwhile, Getz was robbed blind.
  16. Fletcher and Vargas back-to-back in your lineup. Talk about a dead zone. Hilarious that Romy González, whom Getz DFA’ed, would be our best hitter by far with a .770 OPS. Great transactions by Getz! What a loser of a GM…
  17. His last 30 innings pitched have been awful. He basically hit the wall at around 100 innings.
  18. But that money means nothing to Sox fans or the team actually improving. Fedde’s salary wasn’t bad money, and now the Dodgers are proving that Kopech’s salary isn’t either.
  19. Teams probably already know this but the Sox are making it obvious that he won’t be good for 150+ innings next year.
  20. Crochet is now at 133 innings, which no one thought he would really reach without struggling/dead arm. The Sox seem determined to get him to 150+ innings, even though his ERA will likely be in the 4’s and they will have hurt his trade value for the offseason. This team could f*** up a wet dream.
  21. Send this to @WestEddy please!
  22. I doubt that is a factor at all. The Sox won’t be playing in the good free agent pool next offseason. They should tell Moncada to stay home, enjoy his direct deposit, and play younger players in his place that might actually be on the team next year. Your scenario should be a non-factor for this team. By the time this team is signing “quality” free agents, Moncada will be a distant memory. Besides, ultimately, money talks and bullshit walks. No free agent a few years from now will care or even remember what the Sox did with Moncada. “Oh, so Moncada was finally healthy but the Sox told him to stay home?” The next question from the free agent would be — “But did he still get paid?”
  23. @tray, serious question. Do you just hate this new location because of the related aesthetics you have mentioned among other reasons, or do you happen to live very close to the current ballpark? Just curious if it may be more convenient for you to go to a Sox game where they currently reside, rather than if they moved to the new 78 location?
