  1. I see your point with the frequent injuries but Stanton has like 45 WAR in his career. He could retire today and still have been a huge success. Eloy is at 5.5 WAR for his career.
  2. He will join the long line of managers from Reinsdorf-owned teams that will never get another manager/head coaching job in their respective sport again.
  3. I never said those guys were good either. I agree that both Vaughn and Benintendi have been terrible. Eloy’s value was always supposed to be in his amazing bat, not his outfield play. Meanwhile, even Nick Swisher finished his career with a .799 OPS. Eloy has been a disappointment no matter how much you love him.
  4. What is? The stats are the stats.
  5. Amazing that a guy who was supposed to be known for his bat because his glove is so bad currently doesn’t even have a career OPS of .800+. .271 AVG / .321 OBP / .478 SLG / .799 OPS
  6. It spawned into Mr. Glass.
  7. What an athlete! How many times has this loser been injured simply running to first base? He should get a doctor’s note to use a scooter to get to first base after he bats.
  8. So considering LaRussa’s ex-Cardinals buddies would make it three whole options! The organization is getting more open-minded!
  9. Cool story, bro. I don’t mean to brag, but I grilled twice this weekend! So take that!
  10. Now you are bashing me. Anything but bashing the Sox GM and team, which is the real problem. Like I said, it’s your MO.
  11. This is a Sox game thread in the “Pale Hose Talk” forum. Talking about the Sox GM in this thread and forum is more appropriate than talking about the Orioles’ woes, isn’t it? You seem to have some weird obsession with disassociating from the Sox suckiness by bashing other teams (that are better) and former Sox players like Cease. It’s your MO. None of this makes the Sox any better. Yep, they are still terrible.
  12. Eloy likely to be back on the IL soon, so Colas may get another chance to sit in the bench. Eloy is pathetic. Mr. Glass.
  13. Like I said, I hope some reporter asks the question — was Eloy still injured and Grifol played him anyways or did he reinjure himself running out of the box? He made a slow jog to first base on what should have been a double.
  14. But they need his power bat in the lineup… ?
  15. It was hard to tell if he was still injured or if he reinjured himself running out of the box.
  16. Brought up in a Sox game thread for some reason? I also said Elias will likely swing a trade for a starter or two, just like he got Burnes at a bargain.
  17. When your team is the worst in baseball and looking like one of the worst in 162 game season history, look to bash a much better team? Sound strategy…
  18. Sox logo in the garbage can is a nice touch. ?
  19. Gunnar Henderson was an Elias draft pick as well — 42nd overall pick. So was Jordan Westburg — a 30th overall pick.
  20. Eloy is either still injured or just reinjured himself, lol. He couldn’t get to second on what should be a double down the 3B line for any other player. Dude was running the bases like TLR…
  21. Ortiz was a spare part to the Orioles, as they have better players for the entire infield. Hall is terrible.
  22. Stone just said the Sox will “pull back on Crochet’s starts at some point”, referring to an innings limit.
