I think this is a smart way for the Sox to do it. As much as I loathed Robert for most of this year - you shouldn't settle for a package that does nothing for you since he isn't a true rental player.

If Reinsdorf 100 percent wanted him gone, he would be gone for literally anything.

I think they have two actual deals to make. Houser and Robert. I just don't see any others happening.
