  1. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Sep 9, 2012 -> 01:54 PM) Wasn't Santiago one of those guys with better numbers against righties than lefties? Yes, which is probably because of the screwball which he doesn't throw to RH batters. Good job, Hector!
  2. QUOTE (BlackBetsy @ Sep 9, 2012 -> 01:49 PM) See #1. Robin could have moved him to the 9th spot. Instead he leaves him there, which means more ABs for probably the worst hitter on the team.
  3. Hey, look, another mistake from AJ. Run out of the box, jackass.
  4. QUOTE (Brian @ Sep 9, 2012 -> 09:47 AM) Win and be up 3 after Grienke shuts down the Tigers. Than win 3 of 4 vs. Detroit and put em in the rear view. I love it when you analyze.
  5. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Sep 9, 2012 -> 09:40 AM) + 1 billion It was a pretty bad call though, he was definitely safe The player sliding into second should have been called for interference, deeming the call at first moot. He was nowhere close to 2nd base. If Teixeira actually ran through first base, it would have been clear as day in real time that he was safe.
  6. Megalulz at the Cubs bench coach having a temper tantrum tonight. I didn't know it's not acceptable to swing 3-0 in a five run game in the 5th. Losers, all of them.
  7. Charlotte vs. Indianapolis: http://www.milb.com/milb/stats/stats.jsp?s...chraaa_indaaa_1 Pretty much everyone beat up on Gerrit Cole (8 ER). Phegley with another HR. Winston-Salem (Snodgress) vs. Myrtle Beach: http://www.milb.com/milb/stats/stats.jsp?s...myrafa_wswafa_1 Semien with a HR. Elimination game for W-S. Great Falls: http://www.milb.com/milb/stats/stats.jsp?s...grfrok_helrok_1
  8. I really hope Phegley turned the corner. He's been murdering the ball the last month.
  9. QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 5, 2012 -> 09:18 PM) That's probably true, but not necessarily. I think Melky had a press conference to apologize, didn't he? Unless it was a statement he issued. Probably scheduled so his team could pimp all the fake websites he bought. I still can't get over that.
  10. Every WS team since at least the 60s has had players that used PEDs. The modern era has been dominated by HGH and testosterone, but the 60s through the 80s was dominated by players basically taking meth before each game.
  11. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Sep 5, 2012 -> 08:15 PM) Huh? C'mon, Balta, get with the times! http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=HAM
  12. Can we just have Rios bat for everyone? That'd be swell.
  13. Great effort by Jake. 7 baserunners in 6 innings is awesome. We really needed a good effort from him today and he's delivered.
  14. QUOTE (Jose Paniagua @ Sep 5, 2012 -> 02:32 PM) It's not enough to win a game. You are supposed to win a game in a blemish-less way involving zero luck. Oh wait I have never watched baseball before. No, it's about putting together a lineup that maximizes the probability of winning given the starting pitcher. That didn't happen today. But do please keep up the passive aggressive trash.
  15. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Sep 5, 2012 -> 02:24 PM) If they had an all lefty line up and had a 4-1 lead after 4, I'd think you would be happy. Right handers are 2/10 today with a walk. That blows against a pitcher of this caliber. They have time to score more runs, but I'm not exactly surprised thus far.
  16. And this right handed lineup not surprisingly sucks.
  17. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Sep 5, 2012 -> 01:26 PM) LET ME TAKE YOU TO RIOS! Every time you post this, I have to quote it. Love love love love.
  18. Walters' splits in AAA vs LHP (21 IP): BAA .371 WHIP 2.15
  19. QUOTE (Brian @ Sep 5, 2012 -> 10:19 AM) Last check, Wise was lefty. No s***. Unless DeAza is hurt, which he very well could be, OF should be Wise/DeAza/Rios. Beckham should be sitting. Dan Johnson should be playing.
  20. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Sep 5, 2012 -> 10:14 AM) D-Weezy Youk Dunn dh PK14 Rios AJP Tank Alexei Beckham Is DeAza hurt? Also, LH batters are hitting 20 points higher than RH against Walters. LH OBP is .402, RH is .329 This. Is. So. Freaking. Dumb.
  21. QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 4, 2012 -> 09:27 PM) It's pretty unacceptable for a team in a pennant race that had a horrible road trip to come home and get boatraced by the worst team in the American League. At least the fans didn't pay to support this crap tonight. I think tickets on StubHub were going for $1.98 last night.
  22. QUOTE (flavum @ Sep 4, 2012 -> 09:26 PM) I'm sure it's been said, but Quintana needs to be given a big handshake, thank him for his season, and let him watch the rest of the games from the bench. Hector Santiago has more bullets left. And hopefully Floyd can get back soon and give a few good starts. I'd have no problems with this.
