btw you are right about the pizza down here. dominos is the best with pizza hut. my family just came in from chi and brought me a care package, i have beef sandwiches from cursoe, gyro's from kings and queens, 5 family size pizza from falcos and home run inn, fresh kobashi from 22 nd and in bewyn, fresh pavalone cheese from freddy's and of course some fresh italian suasage. No Old Style?? s***, i forgot to ask them for it. we are hold a fair here and i am wanting to my family ship me a few dozens cases of old style in the cans. i wonder if this can be done?

well i just wanted to know, i don't see him living up to the expectation that a lot of people thought he had. i will say that he will be lucky to make it up here when he is 27.

so before home run started to expand, there was only one home run inn pizza place in town and that was on 31 and off kostner. lady, remember i used to live in chi and roam a lot in what i still consider my home town.

good and i am all for it. i don't want him to fail, we need him. but in ref to his hitting, that is what i am looking at. can he develop any more, when does one not become a prospect but a failed draft pick.

yep Giordanno's is better than geno's but then again i know the onwers of geno and his daughter. wow she is great looking, great personality and funny as hell.
-
yeah right and what is your take on home run inn pizza.

can anyone agree with me on this one. what you see in joey right now is what we can expect from him. he will not get any better than what he is at this moment. i hope i am wrong, but your thoughts.

due's on wabash for pizza.. a must.....best in town.... mho.......and because i like it deep....dish that is........... if you want italian then i suggest a nice little place on racine and vernon park....tufanos vernon park tap........very inexpensive and excellent food....matt can attest to it and so can baggs.. we went there after a game one nite... and in the winter months you will most definately run into a few blackhawks players there after a game.. they hang there alot...... hmmm... another place i like is shulas steak house on north water street.......if your into meat then thats the place to go........affordable and some of the best steaks around....... theres a little rib place on the south side (in the bad neighborhood) but they have the best ribs.. leons rib shack on 79th........they are cheap and good.. very good....... ricobenes on 26th ( close to comiskey park) has the best fried steak sandwiches on the earth........they are very affordable........and you can sit down and enjoy good eats there.......they also have italian food......... there ya have it .. some of my favorite places to eat in the city.......... leon is the best, ref to pizza, she is drunk and doesn't know what she is talking about. if you like mexican try nevo leons on 18 and blue island and only in the morning, wouldn't recommend that in the evening. ref to deep dish try geno's east.

i only visited the pig stand on the north side several times and that was in the 60's with my father. so i wouldn't know what they serve. old style is much better than bud. you need to know what bud add to their beer, it something very similar to the cigerette story.

if you are trading with sd, do not imvolve any other team. look at these players, greene, jack peavy, o perez, mark phillips, w. villatoro and r perez with of - bay. in all honesty we will never get ss - greene, but a package of players and prospects can get us several of their pitchers which i would love to see now and in the future. an intriguing possiblity is a an exchange of headcase botch for nevin with sd adding something else to take nevin. that is if nevin doesn't waive of the no trade clause.

that is one beer that i miss when i move away, well one of them.

Nope, Cotts has never been considered a hard thrower. Maine certainly has some nasty numbers. I am looking forward to seeing him. i can't seem to find the article to back me up, so i will give way to what others are saying. since this is somewhat a minors league based thread, how is Andy Gonzalez coming around. i have heard that he has been a huge disappointment this yr.
-
maine has some great stuff. i remember and i may be wrong that cotts was in the mid 90's pitcher.
-
hey rex or mnf, has rauch rebounded?
-
is john maine pitching today?

at 92, isn't it down from where he normals throw at, 94-96

1. r u renting a car? this will tell you where to to get a hotel. if you need public transportation, then i got some ideas. 2. if you are renting a car, on the oakbrook area, you can get a red roof inn for 40 a night, or off I-55 and near 83 you can get a best westen for about 40-50 a night. 3. try falco's pizza which is very close to home run inn pizza. they are brothers and have the same recipe. 4. go to taylor street for some of the best beef sandwiches and italian ice. 5. go to old town for some of the best polish suasages out there. i think they may have moved. and last have a old style beer on me..

man you can make big bucks working on the oil platforms in the gulf or anywhere in the world. either way, have fun in okc.

I am sorry but I think that is incredibly selfish. Sweeney has a once in a lifetime opportunity to become a major league baseball player. I can't see holding him back. and what happens if he get hurt and maybe ruin his career in a hs game?

is yofu ready for the bigs yet. all i heard is that it is a matter of time before he makes it.
-
lets trade him and like this we don't have to worry about him and his stl team.
-
any updates on hankins and yofu?

of'er ref to chifn, you are right about nanita, he came out of no-where. i am surprise about him. you know of another player i am surprise about, clint king. i have yet to find any pre draft info on him. BA does not have anything on him. what gets me is that the sox should have rolled the dice on several other prospect who were rated in the 1 or 2 round that fell like a brick. but oh well, the sox did good by selecting moviel and veil. there is another player who is very intriguing, the 5 th rounder Matt Nachreiner, who has terrible knees but some outstanding stuff.
