    Top 5 young pit

I was surprised to see only one of the Oakland big 3 on there. I might have put Mulder or Hudson ahead of Myers interesting and now after thinking about it, i agree.
  11. i copied this from some site and i don't remember who. but i thought it will be interesting reading. Micah Schnurstein - 3B - DOB: 7/18/84 - ETA: 2007 Notes: Schnurstein is the lone prospect (I'd like to think) I overlooked in my trip to Arizona for the summer rookie league. While I missed seeing "the Schnur" in action, his performance speaks for itself. In 205 at bats, the third baseman hit .332 BA/ .373 OBP/ .512 SLG. Most impressively, he smacked 26 doubles, boding well for future power development. The 18-year old won't impress anyone with his defense or baserunning, but if he can become more patient at the plate he could develop into a very good player. He'll get his first taste of full-season play this year and we will have a better idea of his future at this time next year

    Interesting

http://www.usatoday.com/sports/baseball/alnotes.htm on there, it was said that Jerry Manuel will walk away. i will leave that as as a teaser.
  14. Where does it "need to be"? It is just a message board, relax a little. I think the OWNERS of the site have it right where it "needs" to be. If you say so, I am just trying to help. I have led many of websites to grow in hits and members. I am only trying to help, Im not trying to rock any boats by any means. Are message boards meant to allow others to express their opinions? Yes Is it okay to use language that isnt suitable for children or anyone for that matter? No, that is where I have the problem some of the language on here makes me think we are on a Howard Stern board. The fact is if this language is allowed to continue then this site will not grow and be respectable among its peers in baseball. Believe it or not its true, trust me I have been there and done that. you make this sound as we are no better than one will see in a bar at midnight. this site is no espn board.
  15. don't know if you added this link. but its has a nice article to boot. http://chicago.whitesox.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb...s_cws&fext=.jsp

    Update

From BA What The System Has Produced Lately: Third baseman Joe Crede has been on the brink of making the White Sox lineup since winning the Southern League MVP in 2000. But after losing spring training battles in 2001 and 2002 and unimpressive showings in brief late-season callups, Crede finally looked like he belonged last year. He hit .285-12-35 in 200 at-bats securing the everyday job for 2003. Outfielder Aaron Rowand showed promise with the bat, but might be keeping center field warm for top prospect Joe Borchard. Best-Stocked Position: The White Sox are pitching-heavy, and specifically loaded from the left side after Royce Ring (first round) and Daniel Haigwood (16th round) were drafted last year, and Neal Cotts was acquired from the Athletics in a trade. Two seasons ago, Dennis Ulacia emerged in the minors and Mark Buehrle established himself as a frontline starter in Chicago. In two seasons Heath Phillips, 21, posted an 8-23 minor league record but a 3.52 ERA. Corwin Malone, rated as the Sox’ No. 6 prospect, was still honing his lively arsenal. Best Teenage Prospect: Not only is Anthony Webster, 19, one of the best athletes in the organization, he has shown the potential to become a contributor at the plate and a threat on the bases. He has drawn comparisons to a young Marquis Grissom, but the lefthanded-hitting Webster displayed an impressive knowledge of the strike zone last year drawing 38 walks against 38 strikeouts for Rookie-level Bristol. Prepare For Takeoff: Third baseman Micah Schnurstein was a surprise seventh round pick last year, but he performed well in the Rookie-level Arizona League, batting .332-3-48 with a league-record 26 doubles in 205 at-bats. Drafted as a second baseman, the 18-year old made a swift transition to third base and could move up to low Class A Kannapolis this year. After just a half season of pro ball, he has already garnered comparisons to Phil Nevin. Time Is Running Out For: After hitting .214 in his first five seasons, shortstop Jason Dellaero, who had resisted a move to the mound, worked 17 innings between Double-A Birmingham and Triple-A Charlotte. He wouldn’t fully commit to the idea, though, and split his time between shortstop and relieving. Drafted in the first round in 1997, Dellaero hit .220-9-30 last year.
  17. In my sig? I'm not in that photo, that's from Maxim Magazine. If HSC takes photos of opening day and the tailgate I'll put it up here. thanks.
  18. I like the fan deck, kind like a mini roof-top deal. I like the black look, not enough cash for the green seats I guess. in the pict, which is you?
  19. part of what you say may be right, some of the language in question in part of the everyday language. if i remember that is what got a large group of posters here. are you sure that you don't mod the other board under a different name?
  20. f***in right. Don't dis Chris for "working in the game", someone has to make sure the powdered sugar is just right on the funnel cakes. oh man that was rough.
  21. I think after the disaster that was Jason Bere's experience eith elbow surgery and just the general amount of arm injuries we have had lately, it sounds like the Sox are taking the safe road, which is just fine by me. If Josh Stewart has to make 3 or 4 starts now that is better than him making them during a pennant race! i agree, if we need to rest him even if it is for a long time. lets not f*** with this and let him heal.
  22. you know what just dawn on me. some of the sox and bham players prob have been reading the story and figure what the f %$* is going on. then when they found out are prob falling down laughing at us. now i feel even worst on falling for that. that has to be the best one i have been a victim of.
