QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Dec 8, 2011 -> 01:11 PM) PK isn't going anywhere. We still need some revenue from ticket sales, you know. Most likely not, but that shouldn't be assumed with Kenny.
-
QUOTE (IowaSoxFan @ Dec 8, 2011 -> 01:07 PM) That is not what he said...he said the circus going on between Ozzie and KW was what they were growing tired of. You may be right. I don't remember exactly.
-
QUOTE (Chet Kincaid @ Dec 8, 2011 -> 12:46 PM) Hmmm.... VERY interesting. I wonder how Konerko would feel about going to play for Ozzie again. I believe PK was one of the ones talking, saying Ozzie's act grew old and players were tired of it.

KW and SOX fans are to blame for this mess..

And threads like this are exactly why visiting PHT next season will be maddening. -
Good luck Buehrle! I will always root for you! One of my top 3 players ever! Hope the best for you and your family! Sad to see you go.

Probably Peavy... -
QUOTE (scenario @ Dec 6, 2011 -> 06:34 PM) http://www.baltimoresun.com/sports/orioles...0,2691910.story https://twitter.com/#!/nickcafardo/stat...201147677278208 At least one of Danks or Gavin will be gone. If he hasn't been offered anything he wants yet, this is just trying to up his bargaining power.

QUOTE (JoshPR @ Dec 6, 2011 -> 02:09 PM) Something makes no sense here... Jays are fielding calls on Drabek so they'll need pitching to comeup, trading you're #2 prospect for a closer I just don't get it. That shows you the sox weren't too high on Santos or Kenny sold really high and fleeced the jays, or the other way around. I'm thinking sale is you're closer now Sox have already Sale is officially in the rotation.

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Dec 6, 2011 -> 12:42 PM) Sounds to me like the salary unloading is not going very well. Which means at least one of Floyd/Danks will be with the team this season. Are you saying re-signing Buehrle is contingent upon trading Floyd/Danks/CQ/Thornton or whoever else? I can't see Buehrle coming back to a rebuilding team.

http://espn.go.com/chicago/mlb/story/_/id/...s-nestor-molina Not a surprise, but sad indeed...
-
QUOTE (sircaffey @ Dec 6, 2011 -> 12:18 PM) Can this organization develop the single A prospects that it acquires? Let's hope Nestor doesn't need a lot of development.
-
QUOTE (DirtySox @ Dec 6, 2011 -> 12:11 PM) cst_Cowley cst_Cowley KW said Sox won't rush Molina. "It is a start of a rebuilding now." 13 seconds ago Favorite Retweet Reply That means Buehrle is definitely gone. Didn't PK say he wanted to go to a team that was going to compete on his current contract?
-
QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Dec 6, 2011 -> 12:05 PM) Sale, Molina and Stewart should all be in our rotation in 2013. With 22 innings in AA? That's kind of rushing him, don't you think?
-
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Dec 6, 2011 -> 12:00 PM) http://www.baseballamerica.com/today/prosp...11/2612251.html From that it sounds like his peak would be a no 3.

Looks like it's Crain's job to lose at closer now. I can't see them putting Matt back in there... if he's still here. I don't see them handing the job to Reed just yet.
-
This team is definitely being blown up. No reason to trade a very affordable closer like this.
-
QUOTE (fathom @ Dec 5, 2011 -> 07:31 PM) I actually didn't mind it...at least there's some nice scenery in the movie. Saw the Muppets in theater last week, and I really enjoyed that. I got tired of the characters. The daughter got annoying as did Eddie.

Brett Favre is willing to listen to the Bears

QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Dec 5, 2011 -> 08:17 PM) I dont think anyone believes McNabb or Farve are the answer. But if Hanie goes out against Denver and is terrible, at least the Bears should have someone to turn to. Right now its just stupid. They signed that McCown guy...lol that's probably not what you meant though. -

McNabb and Favre have nothing left in the tank. Even if they do, they will go through a similar learning curb with Martz. Stick with Caleb and see if he gets any better. At least you find out if you have a decent backup QB by giving him an actual shot by letting him play more than 2 games. To think those guys would come in and carry us to the playoffs would be very bad expectations. -
QUOTE (SOXOBAMA @ Dec 5, 2011 -> 02:32 PM) I thought the rules changed with the new CBA I believe that's for players drafted as a part of compensation for a free agent. I could be wrong though...too lazy to look it up.

Saw Just Go With It with the lady this past weekend...that was a bad movie... as in boring!
-
QUOTE (bucket-of-suck @ Dec 5, 2011 -> 01:28 PM) Danks is not as movable as many think. No team us give up a top prospect for one season of control. He is if the team in need of a SP has high playoff aspirations.

QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Dec 2, 2011 -> 11:22 AM) Clarified. Haha, exactly what I was thinking. The Colon trades were downright horrible.
