Is Brett Favre also willing to blow me?

He will send you a text about it.

Low-risk, high-reward?

Pointless.

That would be so cool if he is in shape. And by cool, I mean he is over the hill, and like 25% of his former greatness, which may just make him the Bear's starter.

And it'd sadly also make him a top 5 Bears QB in about the last 25 years.

Not if the reward pans out. Im not all for this, but it is certainly not pointless

Let's be honest with ourselves. The season's over.

Which sucks because the window is shutting on the defense.

Yep, maybe 1 year left. Gotta hope JA isn't an idiot and fixes the WR corps next year and hope for health everywhere else.

In other news, Steve Harnden is willing to listen to the Bears as well.

WTF do we have to lose, people?

Honestly, because of the age of the defense, this is what I keep coming back to. If the season is f***ed, what does it hurt to take a stab in the dark on Favre or McNabb for five weeks?

Favre and McNabb don't know the system. You wouldn't get 5 weeks out of them.

Caleb Hanie knows the system and that has done him no good anyway

With Favre? Dignity and respect. I'd have no problem with McNabb being brought in.

Open competition between McNabb and Farve. Whoever is better gets the vaunted Bears job.

Yeah, agree with this.

An over the hill Favre or McNabb>Hanie...

Only thing Hanie has over these guys is knowledge of the Martz system but he looks lost out there.

Got nothing to lose...

McNabb and Favre have nothing left in the tank. Even if they do, they will go through a similar learning curb with Martz. Stick with Caleb and see if he gets any better. At least you find out if you have a decent backup QB by giving him an actual shot by letting him play more than 2 games.

To think those guys would come in and carry us to the playoffs would be very bad expectations.

I dont think anyone believes McNabb or Farve are the answer. But if Hanie goes out against Denver and is terrible, at least the Bears should have someone to turn to. Right now its just stupid.

They signed that McCown guy...lol that's probably not what you meant though.
