December 5, 201114 yr QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Dec 5, 2011 -> 01:45 PM) Is Brett Favre also willing to blow me? He will send you a text about it.
December 5, 201114 yr QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Dec 5, 2011 -> 01:54 PM) Low-risk, high-reward? Pointless.
December 5, 201114 yr That would be so cool if he is in shape. And by cool, I mean he is over the hill, and like 25% of his former greatness, which may just make him the Bear's starter.

December 5, 201114 yr QUOTE (Tex @ Dec 5, 2011 -> 01:56 PM) That would be so cool if he is in shape. And by cool, I mean he is over the hill, and like 25% of his former greatness, which may just make him the Bear's starter. And it'd sadly also make him a top 5 Bears QB in about the last 25 years. December 5, 201114 yr QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Dec 5, 2011 -> 01:55 PM) Pointless. Not if the reward pans out. Im not all for this, but it is certainly not pointless

December 5, 201114 yr QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Dec 5, 2011 -> 01:58 PM) Not if the reward pans out. Im not all for this, but it is certainly not pointless Let's be honest with ourselves. The season's over.
December 5, 201114 yr QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Dec 5, 2011 -> 02:01 PM) Let's be honest with ourselves. The season's over. Which sucks because the window is shutting on the defense.
December 5, 201114 yr QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Dec 5, 2011 -> 02:14 PM) Which sucks because the window is shutting on the defense. Yep, maybe 1 year left. Gotta hope JA isn't an idiot and fixes the WR corps next year and hope for health everywhere else.
December 5, 201114 yr QUOTE (iamshack @ Dec 5, 2011 -> 02:48 PM) WTF do we have to lose, people? Honestly, because of the age of the defense, this is what I keep coming back to. If the season is f***ed, what does it hurt to take a stab in the dark on Favre or McNabb for five weeks?
December 5, 201114 yr QUOTE (JorgeFabregas @ Dec 5, 2011 -> 02:59 PM) Favre and McNabb don't know the system. You wouldn't get 5 weeks out of them. Caleb Hanie knows the system and that has done him no good anyway
December 5, 201114 yr QUOTE (iamshack @ Dec 5, 2011 -> 02:48 PM) WTF do we have to lose, people? With Favre? Dignity and respect. I'd have no problem with McNabb being brought in.
December 5, 201114 yr Open competition between McNabb and Farve. Whoever is better gets the vaunted Bears job.
December 5, 201114 yr QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Dec 5, 2011 -> 04:34 PM) With Favre? Dignity and respect. I'd have no problem with McNabb being brought in. Yeah, agree with this.
December 5, 201114 yr An over the hill Favre or McNabb>Hanie... Only thing Hanie has over these guys is knowledge of the Martz system but he looks lost out there. Got nothing to lose...
December 6, 201114 yr McNabb and Favre have nothing left in the tank. Even if they do, they will go through a similar learning curb with Martz. Stick with Caleb and see if he gets any better. At least you find out if you have a decent backup QB by giving him an actual shot by letting him play more than 2 games. To think those guys would come in and carry us to the playoffs would be very bad expectations.
December 6, 201114 yr I dont think anyone believes McNabb or Farve are the answer. But if Hanie goes out against Denver and is terrible, at least the Bears should have someone to turn to. Right now its just stupid.

They signed that McCown guy...lol that's probably not what you meant though.
