  1. QUOTE(Kalapse @ May 11, 2005 -> 09:59 PM) No major league team is going to trade a good SP and a good RP pitcher for a 45 year old Cuban pitcher with poor accuracy and an $8.5 Mil contract. Plus, why would you want to break up a starting rotation that currently has an ERA hovering around 3.00? I say we keep this 25 and 9 team together. No doubt about it, you have a good point about breaking the rotation up but am I the only one who is scared when its Counts time to pitch? Not only that but the way he and Duke have been throwing, given our situation with Takastu and Vizcaino our bullpen is going to get tired real fast if we have to use Hermy, Marte, and Pollitte all the time back to back with Duke and Count. We can't trust Cotts in close games and Takastu and Viz are terrible. Do you think acquiring a closer and an extra RP if needed would be all we need?
  2. Given he throws too many pitches and has a fairly large contract which I don't think he is worth, would you deal him? I am not too sure what we could get for him but could we get another good SP in his contract year as well as another RP? As long as we get someone who could replace him nicely for the rest of this season would you do it along with a RP? We do have Bmac waiting for a spot next season...just a thought.
  3. Our whole team is great, wether their doing good or bad you can tell everyone gives 100% effort and I completely love that. Gooch is the MAN, I can't believe how good he's doing, ofcourse a lot of it has to do with Pods being above him but hes getting the job done and thats what counts. What a great addition.
  4. Dontrelle Willis is now 7-0 on the season with a sick 1.08 ERA. Check it out http://chicago.whitesox.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb...t=.jsp&c_id=mlb Hopefully JG can keep up with him and continue his dominance as he did before his last start.
  5. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ May 11, 2005 -> 05:40 PM) tapón That means top cover.
  6. You're a die hard sox fan when people have questions about the sox they come to you.
  7. QUOTE(maggsmaggs @ May 10, 2005 -> 08:36 PM) The Twins have a better pitching staff for the simple reason of Joe Nathan while we have Shingo, I am staring to think by the end of May we are 2-3 behind the Twinkies. I doubt that, our pitching and hitting haven't been on the same pace. We had 2 great winning streaks with bad hitting, if the hitting wakes up and I believe our pitching will be atleast decent, we should be ok.
  8. QUOTE(JimH @ May 10, 2005 -> 08:34 PM) Here comes the divot faced f***, there it goes. They deserved to lose this one and need to get their s*** together, short turn around time tomorrow. They have beat themselves two games in a row. If they don't start hitting its not gonna be good at all. Oz needs to bench both Dye and Kong.
  9. Very nice, our bats f***ing suck and so does ozzie's DUMB ASS
  10. Sox seem to get the job done when needed in situations like this, I expect them to pull it out.
  11. QUOTE(Sox Hustler @ May 6, 2005 -> 07:18 PM) to El Duque now, WAKE UP OFFENSE! KEEP GOING!!
  12. In reality don't we need another pitcher?
  13. We have bad luck with some 3B. Chavez always sucks up what we hit at him, then u got Koskie never made an error against us. Randa also killed us, anymore?
  14. QUOTE(JimH @ May 6, 2005 -> 06:49 PM) Damn straight. Especially in the first game of a series, after your guys get plunked and another pitch goes over Crede's head. Enough is enough, defend your players. Whats going on? Sox getting thrown at, or just talking about tigs game?
  15. I swear there is atleast one sox killer on each team, when ones gone, another one comes in wtf.
