QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ May 23, 2005 -> 10:37 PM) Garland got royally f***ed over by Cruddy and Timo. Thanks to their s***ty defense thats what allowed all 3 runs charged to Garland to score. Viz served up his nightly meatball but its not like that was gonna matter anyway. Since I wasn't able to watch how they scored can someone recap? Is it true our D royally f***ed up? -
QUOTE(qwerty @ May 23, 2005 -> 10:34 PM) He is their version of mccarthy. People need to calm the f*** down. He is gonna be a very good pitcher in this league if he can stay healthy. I honestly do not think he is quite ready yet. He should still be in the minors for at least another half season i think but who knows. Why is it o.k. for a white sox rookie to pitch well but for an opposing teams pitcher to do so it is unacceptable? Because our rookies do well on very rare occasions as oppose to the opponents team when their rookies faces us we look like AAAA players.

I caught the game late but from what I saw that pissed me off is that this kid would always get them 0-1 or 0-2 so damn quick, and they never took the damn bat off their shoulders, they waited until he had 2 strikes on them to swing and then K. -

QUOTE(shagar69 @ May 23, 2005 -> 10:11 PM) eh, why not put viz in here, who gives a f*** how much we lose by. i would not be surprised if we lose 3 out of 4 in this series with colon and lackey going. Please dont say that, we need to split this series. Especially since I will be there thurs. -

QUOTE(qwerty @ May 23, 2005 -> 10:08 PM) Garland's loss was not totally underserved in my opinion. Gave up 11 hits tonight is pretty unaccpetable. Granted at least two of those should have been caught. Also, santana is not a ''s***bag'' pitcher. Thats wrong, he gave the sox a quality start and you say he deserves the loss in some ways?? He should be getting his 9th win. -

QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ May 22, 2005 -> 11:07 PM) He's expected back in Charlotte in the next day or two. Thats where he'll begin his rehab assignment. He should arrive in Chicago around the same time Frank does. Thanks, it will be good to have Ross back with the sox.

He's been on the DL almost a month now in a few days and I haven't heard any news or updates on him. Does anyone know if he should be ready soon or is he still hurt? Gload is my guy, need him back!

What moves,if any, should KW make at deadline?
Whitewashed in '05 replied to chisoxtime's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Relief pitching is a MUST at the deadline. I dont like Viz and I dont trust Cotts, we get someone like everyday eddie and maybe a right hander (something along the lines of a Scott Sullivan trade) and we're pretty much set. The bats are getting hot and hurts almost here, we should be fine after that. -

QUOTE(soxman352000 @ May 21, 2005 -> 04:41 PM) I'd love to see that. It would be sweet to see Mac win his first game over the savior mark prior. :fthecubs :fthecubs :fthecubs :fthecubs :fthecubs :fthecubs :fthecubs Do you know how great it will be for him to beat Prior? Not only would we be sweeping them in their house but can u imagine all those commentators faces when they see a rookie beat out the guy they have a hard on for? No doubt about it, no pressure on Bmac, just go in there and throw strikes. -

QUOTE(Balta1701 @ May 17, 2005 -> 08:22 PM) It's also not impossible - in April and May last year Santana started off with an ERA over 5.5. He got hot at the end of the season, but I think that reality for him can't be as good as he was at the end of 2004. Thats because he had surgery in the offseason to remove bone spurs. -

QUOTE(sox-r-us @ May 17, 2005 -> 08:09 PM) The best part about the Twinkies trailing 7-3 today is that it was with Johan Santana on the mound Hopefully the BJs sweep these bastards now EAT s*** MINNY That guy needs to go into a dead arm period. If Johan does bad the Twins do real bad. That is if their starters don't step it up which they usually do but anytime Johan is bad its bad for the Twins. -

QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ May 17, 2005 -> 08:06 PM) Let me mention that it is May 17th....not to be pessimistic but it's still early but there is no denying the start this team had. Definitley, its still early but the more games we are ahead in the division the better shot we have. -

QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ May 17, 2005 -> 08:03 PM) SWING AND A MISS! INNING OVER. Bottom 8, 5-2 Sox. BTW, Toronto up 7-3 on Minny. The bigger the lead we get on those assholes the better chance were in the playoffs. I know its an obvious fact but this team is playing very good. It seems like after playing good for a while they go into a 2 game funk and get back on track. This team is great. -

QUOTE(Jabroni @ May 13, 2005 -> 09:54 PM) Does anyone think we could have one of the best 1-2 punches in all of baseball with Podsednik and Iguchi? Podsednik: .380 OBP Iguchi: .364 OBP It's like we have our own version of Juan Pierre and Luis Castillo. I think its pretty damn close, while Pods is raising havoc on the basebaths, Gooch is reaping the benefits. The only reason why their not getting much attention right now is because everyone thinks its a fluke. As long as they keep it up we are set.
