  1. Wether we win or lose, its always a good thing...Twins lost!
  2. QUOTE(YASNY @ Apr 14, 2005 -> 12:18 PM) I probably should have.
  3. To conclude all the talk of acquiring Sheets in a midseason trade is over, not that the sox had any chance of getting him but its really no now. He signed a 4 year contract with the Brew crew... http://chicago.whitesox.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb...t=.jsp&c_id=mlb
  4. QUOTE(SoxPhan7 @ Apr 15, 2005 -> 04:57 PM) It looks like we wont get a chance to boo mags and Mags' contract will be void since he will be going on the DL with a hernia. I bet Mags would love to have taken the Sox's money now. http://mlb.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/news/article...t=.jsp&c_id=mlb I thought the only way they could void his contract was if he was on the DL for a certain amount of time for the knee?
  5. Many people will argue about where this thread should go but since I do think anything that involves the sox should be in Pale House Talk, here we go. The Twins received great news on the second opinion about Silva's right knee, he won't need surgery until after the season. They will let him throw a bullpen seassion then get a start in the minors to build his arm strength back up. So much for our luck on the Twins finding a 5th starter. However, do you guys really think his knee can hold up for the rest of the season? I mean were just starting, will he really be ok until after the season? http://minnesota.twins.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/...t=.jsp&c_id=min
  6. QUOTE(robinventura23 @ Apr 13, 2005 -> 07:22 PM) Broussard strikes out. Marte bringing it tonight. I am excited to see how well Marte will do this year. He's almost got it together.
  7. We are swinging the bat terrible right now. I know its been mentioned a million times but I know we are gonna improve. I just hope its soon, its either because we been facing good pitching or just cause they aint in their groove.
  8. On a side note, Twinkies leading Tigs by 3 after scoring 5 off their SP in the first in which he didn't make it out of.
  9. El Caballo is my guy, if we still had him my name would still say El Caballo. Good luck to him no doubt about it!
  10. QUOTE(Steff @ Apr 11, 2005 -> 03:32 PM) I dunno about anyone else.. but these 1 run games are giving me an ulcer.. As long as we come out on top of everyone were set!!
  11. They cant bring Shingo in, his 2 blown saves have come off Tribe and oz said himself they might have to look at other options against the Indians. I don't care who the hell closes it as long as they shut the door and gives FG his well earned W. God I hope we keep pitching like this!!!
  12. f*** man, atleast we won the series, keep doing that and were in.
  13. QUOTE(YASNY @ Apr 10, 2005 -> 08:27 PM) Some days, everything goes wrong. Today's one of them. Not exactly, this game isn't too bad, two errors and an asshole ump, but definitley not a horrible game just bad. Horrible is when youve got 2 errors and getting beat by 10.
  14. QUOTE(The Bones @ Apr 10, 2005 -> 08:20 PM) Just curious, anyone have a count on how many of the Sox Ks were looking? About 13
  15. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Apr 10, 2005 -> 08:10 PM) Well.....duh I love bmac and all but he's not going to be the next santana. Well you can only hope.
  16. s*** man, I hope Bmac becomes the next Santana, this guys disgusting.
  17. It kinda seems like he's been going outside, inside, outside, inside.
  18. Atleast he's driving his pitch count up so they wont let him come back.
  19. man, we need to score atleast another run off this guy, hopefully we can get something going on Rincon if they bring him in.
  20. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Apr 10, 2005 -> 07:39 PM) Ouch. This could get ugly. Not good at all...
  21. QUOTE(chisox2334 @ Apr 9, 2005 -> 04:52 PM) Carlos Silva will undergo surgery to repair a torn meniscus and isn't expected back until after the All-Star break. Eight weeks of recovery time and then four weeks to build back up his arm strength. Surprisingly, the Twins will turn to lefty David Gassner to be their fifth starter with Silva out. Scott Baker or Matt Guerrier would have been better choices in our opinion. It wouldn't be a surprise if they run through a few fifth starters while Silva heals. Apr. 9 - 6:48 pm et Hopefully they get a taste of the fifth starter collapse we have been having the past few years and see how hard it is to win a division without one. Its not good to be happy someone is hurt but the sox have been plagued by injuries before preventing us from winning the division, now its our turn to capitalize on this oppurtunity.
