Angels & Sox looking at Crawford
KW is always under the radar thinking of creative, far-fetched and out-of-the-box ways to improve the team, and who can't love it?

QUOTE(hammerhead johnson @ Dec 5, 2005 -> 08:19 PM) Maggs, I see that you erased your post, but here's my take anyway: Chandler is the hardest working Bull on the court outside of Kirk Hinrich. You can also make an argument for Duhon. You can question Tyson's offense all you want, but the minute you call out his work ethic, you know that I have to question whether or not you've been watching these games. I erased the wrong post, I meant to erase the double concussion post. Oops, my bad.

QUOTE(Athomeboy_2000 @ Dec 5, 2005 -> 08:19 PM) I am all for trading Fields. i was never sold on him since the day he was drafted. He has potential talent and may compaired his bat to that of Venturas, but his fielding is SUSPECT at best. Before he becomes a regular Major Leaguer, he'll be shifted to 1st or the Outfield. He will never be a major league third baseman. his strikeouts really scare me, but he does walk a good amount for such a raw player. IMO, he's a good prospect, but if traded not a major loss.

QUOTE(SleepyWhiteSox @ Dec 5, 2005 -> 08:15 PM) How long are players usually out with a concussion? a couple days or 1-2 weeks, really depends on he feels tomorrow and after the more extensive examination tomorrow.

QUOTE(AnthraxFan93 @ Dec 5, 2005 -> 08:11 PM) Finally a Rumor that I would actually want to happen.. KW would be GOd imo.. If he pulls this off. Just thinking about the 1-2 punch of Crawford/Pods I'm getting gitty like a little school girl. If we can pull this off we better then sign Crede to a long-term deal.. Otherwise we are f***ed down the road. I would give up Fields and another OF prospect.. And for good measure send them the great Felix Diaz. But we have Micah Schurestein (sp?,) I am semi-serious and partially being sarcastic. I actually think he may have a decent future.

QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Dec 5, 2005 -> 08:09 PM) O'boy, this is going to be a 25 page thread, I can see it now. I just cant see a deal centered around Fields is going to get the job done, not after what they were asking for Huff, but I guess anything can happen. Fields,Tracy, and maybe Rogo for Crawford? Please? You bet yeah, this is the best rumor so far. Actually, if the rays starting point in trade negotiations is McCarthy and Fields, that is a pretty good start. I think Kenny could work Fields and Anderson.

Tyson's scoring: 02-03: 9.2 ppg 03-04: 6.1 ppg 04-05: 8.0 ppg 05-06: 5.8 ppg 6 points per game from a 7-1 guy, plus he is averaging less than one block per game at 7-1!! Tell me this guy is worth $10 million or even 6 million. His defesive is good, not great, his offensive is horrible.

QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Dec 5, 2005 -> 07:56 PM) Someone pinch me, I'd deal Fields and a guy like Tracey for Crawford in a heartbeat. Fields is talented, but he's far from a sure thing and Crawford is a pretty talented individual who would fit into Ozzie's style (plus I think he has room to grow). Whats Crawford contract like and when does he become eligible for FA? Crawford is signed through 2010 with some big money at the end, and options starting at 2009. Crawford is amazing, I would give up Fields and Anderson in a heartbeat for him, just no McCarthy. If KW can do this move without giving up Young or B-Mac, that would be awesome. KW once again under the radar.

Can Tyson please stay out of foul trouble and learn to score. He is proving that he isn't worth $10 million a year. I love Tyson, but he has been really dissapointing and he seems to have digressed as far as scoring ability.

QUOTE(SleepyWhiteSox @ Dec 5, 2005 -> 07:52 PM) Just turned the TV on to catch the elbow to Kirk. Did they explain the uniforms? What is that?? Ben hits a three. BENCH HIM! Chicago Stagg retro uni's.

Bill Mueller To Sox?
Mueller is the perfect role player for us, can fill 4 positions: DH (not really a position, but...,) 1b, 2b and 3b. He is a switch-hitter who is patient at the plate, we haven't had one of these for a while.

Bulls need to get a win especially after blowing up after the 1st quarter against Detroit.

Nathan Vasher for DPOY
QUOTE(hammerhead johnson @ Dec 5, 2005 -> 05:59 PM) I'm saying that he's not a good defensive player to begin with, let alone Defensive Player Of The Year. He has special teams ace written all over him, and I like him out of the nickel slot because he is pretty good against the run. But consider for a minute that he is a CB with no coverage skills. Perhaps national sportswriters are retarded enough to throw a few votes his way. It'll be like Larry Hughes all over again.... Not to get confrontational with you, which is basically what I am doing , who has better numbers that could warrant DPOY. There is no Strahan from 2001 or Lewis from 2003, his numbers are as good as anyone's out there, sooner or later, people just need to admit that Vasher is just a damn good football player whose instincts and knowledge of the game can overcome his lack of physical tools. Walter was never the strongest, quickest or fastest, but he could find the holes and played with a heart of a champion. Tools are overrated in football, plenty of toolsy guys never find it while guys with average tools that have high football IQ's are in the league for years. Rod Smith was never drafted, but it one of the best wideouts in the last 10 years.

ESPNews Reports
QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Dec 5, 2005 -> 05:54 PM) Burnett is reportedly closing in on a $55 million, 5 year deal with the Blue Jays. Way too much money for a guy who has never proven anything, if he is $11 million pitcher, Mark Buerhle is a $15 million pitcher.

Nathan Vasher for DPOY
QUOTE(hammerhead johnson @ Dec 5, 2005 -> 05:43 PM) Defensive Player Of The Year He's got as good a chance as anyone else. Urlacher, Peterson, Vasher, nobody is having a real dominant season, so it's not as far fetched as you think.

Bears might take look at Price, or might not
Price would be a good punt returner and possibly our 2nd or 3rd receiver on this team.

QUOTE(IlliniKrush @ Dec 4, 2005 -> 09:20 PM) Why did it take 5 minutes to put 1.6 second on the clock? Nope, don't even need an answer. Duke bias? LOL

QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Dec 4, 2005 -> 09:14 PM) You're just wrong here palehose. You know I try to be as objective as I can be when it comes to Duke on here but 1.6 was the right call. It was the right call, but i wish they had 1 second left. Duke has some magic with last second wins like that.
