  1. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Apr 10, 2006 -> 10:52 PM) Actually he had an RBI double today in the 6th inning. Also, talking about past steroid user candidates, you gotta look at Ryan Klesko. And Chipper Jones is hurt, what a freaking surprise. You're quoting a post from yesterday.
  2. QUOTE(TitoMB345 @ Apr 10, 2006 -> 10:15 PM) Hey guys, first post on the forums! Anyways, I agree with the topic starter. These guys have an insane amount of character and chemistry, even with the additions and subtractions. I almost expected them to start off slowly, with all the celebrations and presentatiosn and this and that.. but now look at them. Three solid starts in a row, with two wins. Buehrle dominated, and Garcia and Vazquez looked great. Plus, we got McCarthy who looks like a gem! I see great things coming to this team! Go Sox! Welcome Tito!
  3. Merged w/ the other billion times this has been brought up.
  4. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Apr 10, 2006 -> 09:14 PM) BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO²
  5. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Apr 10, 2006 -> 08:54 PM) No. ^^^ We're still under .500, and haven't won a game that started or ended on Sunday or Monday. We suck!!!1
  6. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Apr 10, 2006 -> 08:30 PM) Arch? Not sure. We've both seen it on message boards, but I don't know.
  7. It's tough to reason why this stuff happens. RIP.
  8. QUOTE(Soxpranos @ Apr 10, 2006 -> 08:13 PM) Do you know , what there names are? Still havn't read or heard anything ... watching the replay, going to the bottom of the 5th. Here's the Tigers' broadcasting link. http://detroit.tigers.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/t...rs.jsp?c_id=det It appears one of their guys, Rod Allen was drafted by the Sox. That might explain some of the admiration for the team.
  9. QUOTE(Soxpranos @ Apr 10, 2006 -> 07:56 PM) Watching the replay now from the Detriot feed, and its pretty funny on how the announcers talk about Thome Power and how one of them wish nobody was on base. 10 seconds later , the ball flies 19 rows into the stands, and one of the annoucers says, as the ball is flying out " well, Yikes" the other corresponds with, " He's strong, he's country strong" was pretty funny, good pair of announcers.. yet to catch there names. I like them. Crede's HR is up on ChiSox.com, and it's the Tigers' feed. They both were very complimentary of him. They both loved the guy last year too, after Crede hit his bare-handed sideburned go-ahead HR against Detroit.
  10. http://www.indystar.com/apps/pbcs.dll/arti...056/1004/SPORTS All kinds of stuff on the IU front: --The #9 rated JUCO player in the nation (6-6 240 lb) Mike White visited Bloomington this weekend and gave a verbal commitment to play for Sampson. He'll sign on Wednesday. --Vaden will be going to UAB w/ Mike Davis Jr. (never played) to play for Mike Davis --DJ's still undecided, but there's no reason to believe he'll be leaving. Cem Dinc was believed to be transferring, and he's staying also. --Both the incoming recruits Davis signed (Bassett and Keeling) are intending to come to IU in the fall. --And KS' assistant coaches are Ray McCallum and Jeff Meyer. The third assistant has yet to be named.
  11. Sanchez was ranked the 19th best prospect in the White Sox farm system by FutureSox.com: http://www.futuresox.com/frontpage/modules...article&sid=264
  12. QUOTE(WCSox @ Apr 10, 2006 -> 07:31 PM) My mistake. That said, do you honestly think that he would've come back and shook hands with Kenny? I don't think they'd involve Kenny, and I wouldn't be surprised for the Sox to hold a little ceremony before the first game of the Sox-Oakland series in May, where he'd get his ring, etc.
  13. http://whitesox.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/news/ar...t=.jsp&c_id=cws This was Freddy's 100th career victory.
  14. QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Apr 10, 2006 -> 07:23 PM) I agree with your point, but I thought Frank didn't get invited to the Ceremony? I don't think, that said, that he'd have showed (remember his b****ing about how he'd have never done the things he did in the playoffs if he had known he'd be let go?) but I thought he didn't get an invite anyway to piss on? Um..The A's had a game that night. And he said the following:
  15. LOL, I love the search for the e-mail, and the random PBP. In the words of Hawk: I love podcasts.
  16. That beginning rant/sarcasm was f***in' great.
  17. QUOTE(Benchwarmerjim @ Apr 10, 2006 -> 05:21 PM) is this considered a pitchers park or a hitter park? but it looks sweet I don't remember what the former Busch Stadium was considered, but apparently this has the same dimensions.
  18. Well now that this thread holds absolutely no weight, it's closed.
  19. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Apr 10, 2006 -> 03:39 PM) It wasnt horrible. But even in the WS DVD they say that Mark sets the tone and the rest follow suit. Haha, I love how we have that as a reference.
  20. Nice outing by Freddy; velocity was back up and he was getting guys out. Thome continues to be a beast with the bat. Joe Crede's looking sharp lately on both sides of the field. Kong likes power too.
  21. QUOTE(POPPY_HIDALGO @ Apr 10, 2006 -> 02:46 PM) Bmac coming out is the WORST thing that can happen. The kids got nothing in his tank yet. :lol:
  22. The debate's fine, but leave the names out of it.
  23. QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ Apr 10, 2006 -> 02:57 PM) No, he was far-better served with this gem: Exactly. I don't think he was b****ing though. Some of us are at work or unable to view the games on CSN. I'm stuck w/ GameDay until finals; it doesn't exactly tell the whole story.
  24. QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ Apr 10, 2006 -> 02:55 PM) b****. b****. b****. Watch the game on gameday, people. ??? GameDay doesn't exactly capture the full essence of a play by saying: "Brandon Inge bunt pops out to catcher A.J. Pierzynski in foul territory."
