April 10, 200620 yr Why? He's still under Boston's control for 3 years. What's one month in the grand scheme of things? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Plenty. The Tribe could've stumbled out of the gate and not recovered
April 10, 200620 yr Author QUOTE(Cuck the Fubs @ Apr 10, 2006 -> 07:42 PM) Plenty. The Tribe could've stumbled out of the gate and not recovered that's what happened last year when they did have coco crisp.
April 10, 200620 yr QUOTE(Cuck the Fubs @ Apr 10, 2006 -> 12:31 PM) Now the Tribe don't look so dumb trading him away So you're saying the Tribe somehow knew he was going to break his finger? That's a laugher right there. This is a freak injury, not something predictable. Andy Marte will be the one who will probablymake the tribe look pretty good in that trade.
April 10, 200620 yr QUOTE(Cuck the Fubs @ Apr 10, 2006 -> 02:42 PM) Plenty. The Tribe could've stumbled out of the gate and not recovered And have they no, tribe cant complain they are in first place and they have lots of young talent to make up for the loss of crisp.

April 11, 200620 yr QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 10, 2006 -> 06:39 PM) The worms on the infield dirt at Fenway are about to become endangered species. As soon as they hit the endangered list...all Boston will have to do is tell Harris to start bunting. That'll give them plenty of time to recover, since the ball will never hit the ground.
April 11, 200620 yr QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Apr 10, 2006 -> 03:10 PM) Willie Harris Time??? Break out the hat, then the champagne, and pass a flute to chisoxfan14.

April 12, 200620 yr BoSox press release: Red Sox place outfielder Coco Crisp on 15-day disabled list, purchase the contract of outfielder Dustan Mohr BOSTON -- The Boston Red Sox today placed outfielder Coco Crisp on the 15-day disabled list (retroactive to April 9) with a non-displaced fracture at the base of his left index finger and purchased the contract of outfielder Dustan Mohr from Triple-A Pawtucket. Executive Vice President/General Manager Theo Epstein made the announcement. Mohr will wear number 18 and is available for this afternoon's Fenway Park home opener against the Toronto Blue Jays. With the addition of Mohr, Boston's 40-man roster now stands at 39 players. Crisp injured the finger during the top of the third inning Saturday at Baltimore. He is batting .333 (8-for-24) with a double, triple and six runs scored in five games this season. The 29-year-old Mohr, who hit a career high 17 homers with the Rockies last season, has spent all or part of the last five campaigns in the majors with Minnesota (2001-03), San Francisco (2004) and Colorado (2005). He has seen time at all three outfield positions since his big league debut with the Twins in 2001, including 237 starts in right field, 76 starts in left and 18 starts in center. Mohr is a career .252 hitter with 46 homers and 151 RBI in 476 major league contests. After signing a minor league contract with the Red Sox January 23, 2006, Mohr batted .350 (14-for-40) with three doubles, three home runs and seven RBI in 14 Grapefruit League contests with Boston this spring. He was assigned to Pawtucket and saw action in four Triple-A games this season, collecting two hits in 12 at-bats.
