  1. It's incredible what he's doing though. He hadn't played baseball for almost a full calendar year, and in the past, Frank used to be known as a slow starter. I kind of assumed that it might take more time for him to get his swing back, with the long layoff etc. However, Frank's in prime form right now.
  2. Frank is 60 away from 500 HR now.
  3. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Jun 16, 2005 -> 01:48 AM) That's cause you're boring Nothin' wrong w/ that.
  4. QUOTE(sox-r-us @ Jun 16, 2005 -> 01:45 AM) Do I have to focking tell you to add me to the Big Hurt fan club....can't you see my avatar + sig for crying out loud???? ^That.^ My White Sox themed sigs have all been of the Hurt.
  5. Very, very solid movie. I just loved the way did this one. It's definitely my favorite of the Batman series now. It's not cartoony and as fake as the past ones. It was sweet how they integrated the city of Chicago into Gotham. The batmobile is very bad ass too.
  6. QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Jun 15, 2005 -> 06:11 PM) and how would you know this, from what ive seen and here is that Dee is a very nice guy and didnt seem to have any problems with anyone and told Weber to take him out of games b4 Luther. Just want to know how you know for a fact that Dee actually doesnt like Weber. FWIW fathom was on here mentioning Dee's persuing the draft before it was ever announced or thought of.

  9. That FedEx guy made another Sox themed paper. http://photos.imageevent.com/dreamkast/mlbb/fed.bmac.jpg
  10. QUOTE(The Ginger Kid @ Jun 14, 2005 -> 05:54 PM) In my first post ever on Soxtalk, let me say that I believe El Duque will sense the importance of this game and come up big tonight. The question is, will the offense follow suit? Welcome to SoxTalk Ginger Kid!
  11. QUOTE(nvxplorer @ Jun 14, 2005 -> 04:56 PM) The joke sounded like an afterthought. Ozzie was asked if he'd play Frank, and Ozzie said, "Yes, I'm going to play him tomorrow." Then he paused and said, "So if you want to see him, you have to come to the ballpark." He was mocking a previous question on attendance. I think Ozzie was just deflecting the question, and I don't blame him. It's possible he didn't know at that point whether Frank would play, but even if he did, he doesn't want to give the media any reason to blow things out of proportion. Ozzie says he always gives the player one extra day to rest, after the player has said they're ready.
  12. QUOTE(Benson&Rexage @ Jun 14, 2005 -> 01:48 PM) I would rather not watch football than watch the Colts though. And Bobby Knight is an overrated piece of trash whose fan base in old imbread hicks from southern and central Indiana. Try quoting a real basketball coach like coach K or Dean Smith or even Lute Olsen I am really befounded how you could root for the Sox and not be a bears fan but I am happy that you at least have made one smart choice in whom you root for Go Sox Start Watching the Bear and stop watching the Colts and worshiping Bobby Knight There are plenty of Bears fans at IU find one At least you are not a Twins or Cubs fan If you've ever followed the site or looked at my past posts, I certainly don't worship Bobby Knight. :dips***
  13. Kobe and Phil won't win another title together.
  14. QUOTE(whitesoxmanager @ Jun 14, 2005 -> 12:05 PM) jose contreras is sincerely a great man! he took at least 15 minutes to shake hands and sign balls in the outfield on sunday at petco park. how awesome would he be if he showed a little edge on the mound? he truly has been a great surprise thus far! as for the ignorant fans in the stands, i have always said that it is better to have 13,267 real whitesox fans in attendance, they seem to make just as much noise anyway! Welcome to SoxTalk!
  15. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Jun 13, 2005 -> 09:17 AM) I'm seeing Dave Matthews tonight; I'm pretty excited about it! The show was nothing but awesome. This was the first time I've ever seen Dave live, and it was incredible. They played a good mix of old and stuff from the new album. They ended with Watchtower, and that was awesome. A thunderstorm was rolling in right at the end, and it was really lighting up the sky during the song. The crowd was going crazy with the rain and the band; that made for a fun ending.
  16. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 13, 2005 -> 11:19 AM) Must you rub it in. I don't even know WTF I was thinking. I thought it was one of your non-green sarcastic posts. So I really didn't know what to say.
  17. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 13, 2005 -> 11:08 AM) Last I saw he was a bat boy for the Expos but that was like 2 years ago. http://www.soxtalk.com/forums/index.php?showuser=1484
  18. QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Jun 13, 2005 -> 11:09 AM) I like the acclaim and notoriety of the All Star game, but I really dont mind the team getting a small vacation to relax and prepare for the second half(more like the last third) of the season. One thing I wish I could see one more time is Frank Thomas in the HR derby, though. He was always awesome, even if it did mess up his swing a bit. Frank could handle it, but he was in his 2 HR derbies when he was on the top of his game (94 and 95). It was PK that kind of fell off after the HR derby.
  19. Wow. That's cool to get some props from Hunter. Just keep doing what you're doing Sox!
  20. The Sox will finish the game in double digits in runs scored and hits. Wow, making this prediction reminded me of ol' Poopy Hiladgo. Whatever happened to him?
