QUOTE(q\/\/3r+y @ Apr 5, 2006 -> 08:41 PM) Actually i forgot the ''.''... So your boss is paying five dollars per hour? Where do you work? Five dollars and hour... for fourty hours per week is only 9,600 by the end of the year. You're forgetting to consider taxes, unpaid vacations, less hours during the winter, ect. I'm also sympathetic for your foolish mistake of forgetting the quotes.

QUOTE(q\/\/3r+y @ Apr 5, 2006 -> 08:35 PM) It is... seeing things. I think you were a bit off with your number... Are you saying I'm seeing things? I hope you're refering to yourself because your pre-edited post obviously had the "$" after 10,000. I don't think you know my boss who only cares about making money. He doesn't give a s*** about how much money his employees make.

QUOTE(q\/\/3r+y @ Apr 5, 2006 -> 08:32 PM) You work with adults that make $10,000 a year? They live in their 1971 piece of s*** car? Yes. And the "$" goes before the numbers.

QUOTE(Steff @ Apr 5, 2006 -> 08:30 PM) LMAO... now I said it wasn't a lot of money. Good grief. :rolly No you didn't say that, but you were talking about how $9,000 was not that much compared to other diamonds. If your husband thought $9,000 was too much money, he would not have bought that engagment ring for you. No matter how much money I make and how much I love my future wife, I don't think I could ever spend that much on a ring. I just see no point in wearing jewlery and obviously see no point in spending that much money on jewlery.

QUOTE(Steff @ Apr 5, 2006 -> 08:20 PM) My engagement ring, which I wear every day, and enjoy very much, was more than $9K. $9K is not at all a lot of $ for diamonds. Take a walk in the mall and look at a few. Well although $9,000 may not seem like a lot to you, I was just thinking about how the adults that I work with make only about $10,000...in an entire year. And that's how much your jewlery costs. It's some shocking juxtaposition.
  6. QUOTE(The Critic @ Apr 5, 2006 -> 07:59 PM) Well, then maybe the betta sold the goldfish on eBay.... Whatever happened, it's just REAL weird - I never had a fish disappear overnight like that! If I ever find any remains, I'll post a followup. This site has been turning into Fishtalk.com lately and I love it!

QUOTE(Steff @ Apr 5, 2006 -> 08:06 PM) No way they cost combined 9K. I have jewlery that cost in that neighborhood and that ring was 3x the size of my ring. The estimates are rumored to be approx $20k EACH. You have jewlery that costs around $9,000??? I'm sorry how much you might enjoy wearing it, but that is ridiculus. Anyways, Jostens (the company that made thses rings) also sells class rings at my school. The guy who sells them is really crazy and into rings.
  8. QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Apr 5, 2006 -> 07:33 PM) Anyone see that fight near the end of the game in the bleachers? I didn't have a good vantage point, but one of the combatants gave about 6 or 7 security personnel all they could handle out there. Yeah I saw it. I was behind the plate in the UD and I still could see all the security guards scrambling and falling down. Looked like quite a match. On a side note, in our section some drunk Indians fan was causing some problems and he left for some reason in the 7th and on his way out he gave us all the bird and then recieved a beer shower. Some stupid b**** was all pissed off because her coat got some beer on it. Not more than a drop, but it was funny seeing the spoiled princess making a b**** out of herself.
  9. Has anybody ever taken a hot shower with his new hat on? Apparently it's suposed to make it fitting for your head. Is this true?
  10. Just got back from the game, here are my thoughts: Contreras got off to a rough start, but then settled in very nicely. Paul Konerko is struggling quite a bit in clutch situations. Other teams are catching on to this and walking Thome. Pauly needs to make them pay and show why he deserves $60 million. It's almost an insult to Konerko IMO when Thome is intentionally walked, not only once but twice, in the same game to get to him. What happened to Dye? If he was in today, I have a feeling he would have done a lot better than Mack. He had at least three chances to be the hero today, and the only thing he could do was break his bat and get one RBI. A lot of the hitters seemed to be JUST late on the pitches. Lots of popups and foul balls off of the screen. The offense should come around soon. Probably the best thing I got from today was that the Indians did not beat us. We beat ourselves, in fact, the Indians tried to hand us the game.
  11. So I'm guessing this ring isn't a piece of s***? Hmm the trophy doesn't look all that nice to me, but I'm hoping I'm wrong. We are planning on getting there around 10:30, hopefully that is good enough. 20,000 is a lot of trophys.
  12. I sure hope I'm not missing school tomorrow for nothing.
  13. QUOTE(rangercal @ Apr 3, 2006 -> 03:02 PM) cds or Easter or Halloween?
  14. QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ Apr 3, 2006 -> 02:29 PM) I could care less about faces of the team. I like Buehrle and all as a person, but to me he's the weakest guy of the staff though no one will ever admit that. He isn't good against good hitting ballclubs and basically feasts off low pressure/bad team games. And KW is trying to make the World Series trophy the face of the team, not a player. I tend to agree with you. The same can be said for Garland though. Contreras and Garcia are the two guys I would want to see on the mound with big things on the line. I'm yet to make an opinion on Vasquez. I'm fairly sure B-Mac will be our best pitcher next year, and maybe even this year if somebody goes down.
  15. I think I'm gonna go cuddle up in my Sox blankets and watch the rest of the game.
  16. QUOTE(Chopper2Hopper @ Apr 2, 2006 -> 11:59 PM) So here's the avatar I found, nothing fancy, but I'll find something later. Let's do this! My avatar owns yours. That's me sleeping in left at the cell.
  17. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2006 @ Apr 2, 2006 -> 11:58 PM) Seems as if he didn't know how many outs there were after making a catch earlier. Yeah that's what I was refering to. Twice in the same inning? That's rough, kid.
  18. lol Anderson needs to remember how many outs. He must be so nervous.
  19. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Apr 2, 2006 -> 11:41 PM) Woo-hoo! Official game! I love how Anderson checked over his shoulder to make sure that "Yeah, that was the 3rd out" before he threw the ball into the crowd. haha Silly Rook
  20. That's tough to do in the rain YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
  21. Anybody reminded of that KC scrub? 16 straight balls lol
