Well I'm a junior this year and I've narrowed it down to: DePaul Butler Wabash IU I'm visiting all of them within the next month, so I should have a better idea of where I want to go then.

Emergency alert System test?

What great timing. Lots of exciting sports to watch today and nothing to do for me all day. Yeuss!
-
Yeah Bulls! Now let's get the 5 or 6 because I don't want to play Pistons or Heat.

I really like reading things like this because we can all relate to this. I have one friend who's hair is just out of control and we always tell him to get a haircut. Pretty cool story.

QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Apr 16, 2006 -> 12:55 PM) Jimmy Johns sucks. Wow you really suck. Although I'm pissed at Jimmy John's because they messed up my delivery yesterday and charged me more for the regular subs when I wanted slims.

QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Apr 13, 2006 -> 02:51 PM) Sometimes I will go grab a pillow off my bed and just yell into it until I am out of breath. It makes me feel much better. Also known as suicide.

This is what I am using so far this year.. --------- Here's 20 things which have occurred since the cubs last won the World Series … 1. Radio was invented; Cubs fans got to hear their team lose. 2. TV was invented; Cubs fans got to see their team lose. 3. Baseball added 14 teams; Cubs fans get to see and hear their team lose to more clubs. 4. George Burns celebrated his 10th, 20th, 30th, 40th, 50th, 60th, 70th, 80th, 90th and 100th birthdays. 5. Haley's comet passed Earth. TWICE. 6. Harry Carey was born ... and died. Incredible, but true. 7. The NBA, NHL and NFL were formed, and ALL other Chicago teams won championships in each league. 8. Man landed on the moon ... as have several home runs given up by Cubs closers. 9. Sixteen U.S. presidents were elected 10. There were 11 amendments added to the Constitution. 11. Prohibition was created...and repealed. For a brief period, Cubs fans couldn't legally drown their sorrows in booze. 12. The Titanic was built, set sail, sank, was discovered and became the subject of a major motion picture. Giving Cubs fans hope that something that has been on the botton for almost a century can resurface in some way, shape, or form. 13. Wrigley Field was built and becomes the oldest park in the National League 14. Flag poles were erected on Wrigley Field roof to hold all of the team's future World Series pennants. Those flag poles have since rusted and been taken down. 15. A combination of 40 Summer and Winter Olympics have been held. 16. Thirteen baseball players have won the Triple Crown, who proceeded to thank Cubs pitchers. 17. Bell-bottoms came in style, went out of style and came back in. 18. The Cleveland Indians, Boston Red Sox, Arizona Diamondbacks, WHITE SOX and Florida Marlins have all won the World Series. 19. The Cubs played 14,153 regular-season games; they lost the majority of them. 20. Alaska, Arizona, Hawaii, Oklahoma and New Mexico were added to the Union. You still want to talk s*** about your start this season? Bronson Arroyo has not hit a home run since High School...that is until he faced Cubs pitching and has two this year, both against the Cubs. Yesterday, the Cubs were getting their asses kicked so hard that Aramis had to leave the game with a sore butt. How are Kerry and Mark doing? Yeah, Dusty and the Cubs doctors are wondering the same thing. I would love to write more, but I have to go polish my World Series Champions trophy.

1. White Sox 2. Valpo High School State Championship/Rob Hummel or Scott Martin becoming NBA Stars 3. Bears 4. Bulls, since I was 8 last time we won it all

1908. I'm wishing I would have gotten a ring instead of the trophy last week now so I could just wear that to school and hold it up when I hear the Cubs fans. Maybe I should just carry my trophy around.

What a frusterating series so far! arrgggghhhh -
I hate ketchup on anything. I will not eat it on fries, burgers, weiners, ect.. It's all about mustard. Thousand Island dressing is the best on fries, burgers, and chicken tenders too.

QUOTE(Steff @ Apr 6, 2006 -> 10:49 AM) http://www.dol.gov/esa/minwage/america.htm#Illinois The minimum wage in Illinois is $6.50 which = $13,520 a year gross. Whitesoxin', if people at your work are being paid under the minimum, here is a site they can (should) report your employer to. http://www.dol.gov/esa/whd/ Wow, minimum wage in Illinois is $6.50?! I always thought minimum wage was determined by the federal government. That seems unfair to me. At most of the jobs I've ever had, I had to start at $5.15 which is minimum wage over here. (2 of the 3 "official" jobs I've had) Thanks for the link, Steff, but the people I work with are making more than minimum wage for the state of Indiana. It might not meet the requirments for other states, however. Interesting.. As someone else in this thread has said, the $10,000 number came from lack of hours. They all don't get 40 hour weeks, and one of the ladies takes the summer's off to be with her children. She's a really nice woman and I feel bad for her because she's stuck here. The other two adults who work there have sort of dug themselves a hole and can't get out. It's mostly their fault for not doing much, but one of the two is actually going back to school and taking college classes to be a nurse. I thought this thread had fallen off the face of the earth until now..

QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Apr 6, 2006 -> 02:07 PM) yeah, but the shampoo stains will show up once it dries. Were you being sarcastic? Haha because I definitely wouldn't shampoo my hat. I just heard this from somebody in the gift shop at the Cell yesterday after I got my hat. I thought they might be bulls***ting me.

QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Apr 5, 2006 -> 08:50 PM) We've all been there with the kind of boss you have. Just by your posts its easy to figure you are too intelligent to work for the pay you are receivng. Get a new job, and go to college. With a few more dollars in your pocket, and bank account, you may have a different perspective on what is a ridiculous amount of money to spend on someone you love. I'm a teenager and can't get anything better in the job department. The only reason I have stayed at my current job is because I can get any day off that I want. It's a great luxury to have because of my busy schedule.

QUOTE(Steff @ Apr 5, 2006 -> 08:49 PM) And against federal law. Not if you have money coming in from more than one source. Using my example: winning money in a malpractice lawsuit.

QUOTE(q\/\/3r+y @ Apr 5, 2006 -> 08:47 PM) I forget the period actually... as you can see the period was in quotes. Sorry for you failing in your attempt for making me look like a jackass. What the hell are you talking about? Wow now you are just flat out lying. Why can't you admit to putting the dollar sign at the end? It was just a silly mistake, we've all done it. No need to lie about it.

QUOTE(Steff @ Apr 5, 2006 -> 08:44 PM) If you take a walk in a jewlery store you'll be very shocked to see how much diamonds sell for. That's all the point I was making. As BS said, it's all relative. And if you wouldn't mind, I would appreciate it if you got off the subject of my husband's spending habits. It was barely touched and now we are off it. See ya.
