  1. QUOTE(Beastly @ May 14, 2006 -> 08:01 PM) I believe it to be true, just look at the past, my friend. Though we shouldn't look to the past, but to the present, I could have changed a lot since then... You're right. It is true for you and it's true for me. Just have to deal with it if you want to be on soxtalk.
  2. QUOTE(Beastly @ May 14, 2006 -> 07:58 PM) He does bring up a point though guys. I know what all of you think of me, and that is why I left soxtalk for a long time and when I come back, I come back sparingly. I know for a fact at least 85% of you dislike my posts and see me as adding nothing to this site, so thats why I'm just a quiet fan now who watches the game and learns statistics, so I can at least compete in a small argument. And yes, I believe that I have changed, although you guys may think, oh, thats just beastly talking again, alright, yeah, yeah yeah... [/color]But Beastly you're just a stupid high school student. You can't change. You're nothing but a stupid teenage. Those big college students really are cool though.
  3. QUOTE(SSH2005 @ May 14, 2006 -> 07:57 PM) Unfortunately, he led off the inning. Gooch led off. My statement was sarcasm. I hate when Sox players are blasted for hitting solo home runs.
  4. QUOTE(fathom @ May 14, 2006 -> 07:50 PM) You just have to take a step back and realize that you have a reputation on this board. It seems hypocritical to start telling people how to act. Personally, I know that it's not my spot to tell people to be optimistic and to quit their b****ing. I fully realize that. Now you have to take a step back and realize that people can change and not carry stereotypes, or "reputations" as you call it. The cliques that have been formed on soxtalk are quite discouraging. f***ing Jim Thome why can't you hit a home run when somebody is on base?
  5. There's the Buehrle we are used to. Good to see he didn't lose it completely.
  6. QUOTE(Beastly @ May 14, 2006 -> 07:47 PM) No need for the personal attack, dude. No I'm sick of being attacked by only one person on this board for what happened with me last year. Only one person brings it up at all. And it's him. I'm sick of it. Calling someone a jackass is hardly a personal attack.
  7. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ May 14, 2006 -> 07:43 PM) You are literally the LAST person that should be making this post. Shut up dude, you don't know me. People can change believe it or not. Stop bringing up the past jackass, stop calling me out for one incident.
  8. QUOTE(Ndgt10 @ May 14, 2006 -> 07:42 PM) From reading this board, you would think that this team is 12-23. Losing streaks happen people. Some of you people really need to get a grip. It's like a bunch of whiny women having a PMS convention in here. Thank you! It's amazing how you guys can be soo pissed off. Pitchers have bad stretches. Hitters have bad stretches. Fielders have bad stretches. Umpires have bad stretches. You have bad stretches. I have bad stretches. Look at the Indians lately. We will be fine, calm down.
  9. Hey everyone, I was just wondering...who has the best record in the the Major Leagues right now? OH YEAH, WE DO! It's the top of the 2nd inning and we are hitting the s*** out of Silva. Step off of the ledge.
  10. Well yesterday we gave away a 4 run lead, now it's the Twins turn. We still have 8 at bats.
  11. 7-3 still corners with only one out.
  12. We're still going to win this game as long as Mark holds them under 10 this inning.
  13. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ May 14, 2006 -> 07:30 PM) Alright, get a DP right here, lets get out of this tied... It's not possible to have 3 double plays in one inning.
  14. QUOTE(SSH2005 @ May 14, 2006 -> 07:29 PM) Buehrle just seems to fall apart after errors, IMO. Buehrle just always falls apart IMO and that's why I'm not a big fan of him, but I don't even mention it anymore because I don't want to be lynched. Your statement just didn't really fit here at that time. Wow. f*** you Mark "ace" Buehrle.
  15. QUOTE(SSH2005 @ May 14, 2006 -> 07:27 PM) Buehrle is horrible at pitching over errors. Yeah cuz throwing a double play ball to their clean up hitter is horrible. :rolly
  16. Two blown double plays and still NOBODY OUT IN THE GAME???
  17. Defense is killing us all around so far tonight. Twins play great D, Mark throws it away.
  18. I haven't been this excited for a game since Opening Night. I don't know why I'm so pumped for it, but I can't wait.
  19. So if we lose tonight, we'll be in 2nd place. 2nd place in the MLB. Relax folks, even if we lose we will still have the 2nd best record in the major leagues. The Tigers are hot right now and they still haven't passed us. How do you think they feel about being in 2nd with the 2nd best record in the MLB? It's fun to look back on all those years when the AL Central was the "weakest division in baseball"

    Summer Jobs

Working at DQ. Becomming a shift leader (basically an assistant manager) later this summer in June/July. That basically means my shirt will be red, not blue, and I'll make more money.
  21. QUOTE(hammerhead johnson @ May 13, 2006 -> 05:49 PM) IMO, of course. List yours too. 1. Brad Radke (7.75 ERA, 1.70 WHIP, .360 BAA) 2. Jon Garland (6.75 ERA, 1.59 WHIP, .333 BAA) 3. Andy Pettite (5.66 ERA, 1.64 WHIP, .318 BAA) 4. Dontrelle Willis (6.22 ERA, 1.58 WHIP, .305 BAA) 5. Joe Blanton (6.38 ERA, 1.61 WHIP, .310 BAA) 6. Livan Hernandez (6.52 ERA, 1.65 WHIP, .307 BAA) 7. Kevin Millwood (5.13 ERA, 1.46 WHIP. .304 BAA) 8. Matt Morris (6.20 ERA, 1.51 WHIP, .284 BAA) 9. Felix Hernandez (4.58 ERA, 1.50 WHIP, .277 BAA) 10. Dan Haren ((5.03 ERA, 1.24 WHIP, .270 BAA) 10. Zach Duke (4.02 ERA, 1.42 WHIP, .268 BAA) I have a 10th place tie between Dan Haren and Zach Duke. I expected a healthy Matt Morris to pitch well in SF based on his first half numbers from last year, but it's not working out thus far. Brad Radke is only 33 years old. It's not like he's over-the-hill. He has to turn it around at some point, but his numbers are atrocious right now. That's actually an understatement. Most of these guys play in great pitching conditions (Willis, Blanton, L. Hernandez, Morris, F. Hernandez, Haren, Duke, etc), so their numbers are all the more disturbing. If your BAA is up over .300, you're just killing your team. Garland is at .333 right now. Ironically 4 of the pitchers on that list are on ONE of my fantasy teams. 4. On one team.
  22. Crede tagged that ball but right at Stewert. Dye looks goofy running, definitely doesn't look 100%. Sox hitting the hell out of the ball, but not resulting in much so far. That will change eventually.
