2006 White Sox Catch-All Thread
On Comcast the background has a blown up picture of a newspaper on the wall. It says "Houston takes hammer to Wood" and then has a picture of the Sox celebrating a victory.

Should the KKK be allowed to protest at historical sites?
Only in Indiana can the KKK be formed... They "protested" in Gary a few years ago. That was probably the most ridiculus thing I've ever seen. Shockingly, none of the klan members were shot. They actually deserved to be.

Films
Am I the only one who has trouble sitting through movies? Even in some of my favorite movies of all time (Little Giants and The Sandlot) I have a hard time sitting through it. Maybe I have ADD. Hey look at the stars..

Who here uses facebook? Any version of it.
QUOTE(DonkeyKongerko @ Jun 12, 2006 -> 08:30 PM) It's a good stalker tool. They're headed towards Myspace though with all the high schools on there especially since Myspace isn't 'cool' anymore. What are you talking about? I'm cool! No really, I am! I go on myspace a few times a week, more often in the summer or when I'm not busy all day. I just read my messages/comments and respond back. I don't have a digital camera so I just take pictures from my friends online albums and put those on. I hate myspace whores. If somebody has a crazy page that's really complicated and the pictures of them are only in crazy emo poses and such you don't want to meet them. They are ugly, lonely, and desperate. QUOTE(SnB @ Jun 13, 2006 -> 12:08 AM) You could really see crede as a cuddler.

ESPN losing it...
QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Jun 12, 2006 -> 04:47 PM) Back in the day they used to show the Shuffleboard championships. I did enjoy the miniature golf tour. Mini golf is great. I played with my friends tonight and took a tough 1 stroke loss with what would have been the winning shot rimming out on an impossible hill. Luckily I have friends that work at the place and give us free tickets.

///OLD THREAD///: Jim Thome?
QUOTE(sircaffey @ Jul 26, 2005 -> 11:32 AM) Perhaps a move in the offseason to replace Frank at DH...Money is still way too much. Nice call. Wow some people were crazy in this thread. I would have always loved to have Thome on my team.

I left the game early tonight.
QUOTE(Greg Hibbard @ Jun 12, 2006 -> 11:23 AM) I was at that bears browns game and I yelled at people for leaving early and called them fake fans. I'm sure the image of me screaming at them as they walked up the aisles is burned in their memories forever That's why me and my dad haven't taken the women in the family to a Bears game since. They truly are fake fans.

Official Soxtalk 2006 World Cup Thread
SF1, espn not talking about the US would be like Peter Gammons not mentioning the Red Sox and Yankees on Sunday Night Baseball. It's impossible and it will not happen.

QUOTE(Jordan4life_2006 @ Jun 12, 2006 -> 12:11 AM) That was 2001. Yeah why the hell did I type 2003? I definitely knew it was 01.. 2nd row in the exact corner! Clearly I'm still not over it 5 years later. To top it off, that game was selected "Game of the Year" on the ESPYs that year.

Down 1-0 because players on our team don't feel like trying. We had three guys around the box and the Czech's had 1...and he scored.

When you played baseball...
Played for the last 12 years years of my life. Every summer and every fall. This summer is the first summer since I was 4 that I haven't played. I was mainly a pitcher and catcher, but really played every postion. I had a great arm as a kid and just used straight gas to strike everyone out. I could never develop a quality curve, so as I got older, my pitching skills declined. Then, summer after freshman year I tore my labrum in my right throwing shoulder and have been like Kerry Wood ever since. My shoulder has seperated three times since then, and my shoulder joint is deteriorated. Last summer I just played first base all year because I couldn't throw. I miss those days of little league.

This is an outrage that the NBA Finals highlights and analysis is being aired before Arena Bowl highlights on Sportscenter.

HS Senior rips his own graduating class.
QUOTE(bmags @ Jun 11, 2006 -> 08:53 PM) haha to the people who are telling this kid to get over it...i remind you that the US was 18th in math scores, the best way to change that is to remove the drug use and prominant cheating in high schools. Higher level public schools are more halfway houses than institutions of learning. I applaud this kid. I agree with you. This year I had an excellent Pre-Cal/Calc I teacher and she laid the groundwork for a strict class at the beginning of the year and made cheating basically impossible. I learned by far the most I've ever learned in any class this year because of her. For those of you that say this happens in all High Schools in America, you are right. But that doesn't make it right. My High School was selected as one of the 40 best High Schools in the United States last year, and I have always felt that my school is screwed up and there is rampant drug and alcohol use.

QUOTE(SnB @ Jun 10, 2006 -> 11:01 PM) You better be getting free blizzards out the ass. Yeah don't worry I take care of that. It's fairly ridiculus how much food I take and don't pay for and how much I hook up my friends. My boss is a greedy asshole though so I don't feel bad.

The 06 Chicago White Sox are born
I didn't see any of the games this weekend. Work sucks..

I left the game early tonight.
Don't feel bad if any of you guys left the game early tonight. In 2003, I was at the Bears/Browns game. Mike Brown game #2. My sister and mom were b****ing about being cold and we were down by 14 with under 2:00 to go. A catch was under review with I think it was 1:28 left. My dad gave in and we walked outside Soldier Field to wait in line for a bus back to the Grant Street garage. To top it off, our seats were in the 2nd row in the exact corner of the endzone where the hail mary happened and where Mike Brown ran straight into the locker room after the game. All I could do was hear the fans go wild I was soooo pissed at my sister and mom.

Ab Workouts
We've got some nutrition buffs on this site. Thanks for the information guys. I'm just riding my youthful metabolism for as long as I can before I have to start working out regularly. I do play sports basically everyday, mostly ultimate frisbee and basketball, which are good cardio workouts.

Chris Burke seperated his shoulder after swinging in the 'Stros v Cubs game today. It was extremely painful for me to watch after seperating my shoulder several times in the past few years.
