  1. Was that any better than Vazquez or Garland? Riske you've got to keep Jones in the park there, especially with two strikes.
  2. QUOTE(Greg Hibbard @ Jul 1, 2006 -> 02:44 PM) well, that's probably ballgame Are you kidding me? The wind is howling out.
  3. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Jul 1, 2006 -> 02:41 PM) I'm more concerned with keeping them scoreless than giving up a single to Ramirez. Meh the two go hand-in-hand IMO. YES
  4. Riske can't let Aramis get a single. I don't want to hear about how great he is.
  5. QUOTE(Greg The Bull Luzinski @ Jul 1, 2006 -> 02:38 PM) green?
  6. QUOTE(The Ginger Kid @ Jul 1, 2006 -> 02:37 PM) wow. a two bagger with no outs - by pods, no less - and donuts. 3rd time today there has been a guy on 2nd with nobody out and he hasn't scored
  7. Ahh unfortunately Javy can't get his 9th win of the year after pitching a great game and deserving the W. Oh well... Hold 'em just like you've been doing pen.
  8. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Jul 1, 2006 -> 02:32 PM) Yeah, if you say so. I'm sure he'll stop making the mistakes he's been making for years and suddenly make us all eat crow. Face it, this was a bad move for us. You have made your opinion quite clear. Thank you for participating in the discussion. Let's enjoy a White Sox come from behind winner now.
  9. QUOTE(SoxRock05 @ Jul 1, 2006 -> 02:30 PM) Since when is Eyre Pronounces Ire..I hate WGN WGN??
  10. 3-1!!! I love this team. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Jul 1, 2006 -> 02:29 PM) Blame that on how terrible Vazquez is. Whatever. You guys will all be eating crow later this year IMO. But that is just my opinion and clearly not the same as yours and 88% of soxtalk.
  11. This is the most downer game thread I've ever seen for a White Sox comeback thus far.
  12. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2006 @ Jul 1, 2006 -> 02:22 PM) Dude, just let it go. Javier has been average to bad for the last 2 years. Can he turn it around? Sure. But he needs to hurry the f*** up and get going. It's July now. Dude, you asked me to post the numbers and that is what I did.
  13. LET'S GO WHITE SOX!!! That's a great sound in Wrigley
  14. And JAVY is off the hook and looking to pick up win number 9 on July 1!!!!!!!!!!
  15. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2006 @ Jul 1, 2006 -> 02:17 PM) How 'bout you post his numbers since around the all-star break of 2004? Going into this year, he was 25-25 with 342 K's 413.7 IP 106 BBs 4.60 ERA since 2004.
  16. Since 2000 Javier has the 4th most strikeouts of any pitcher. The other pitchers on the top 5 list? Randy Johnson Pedro Martinez Curt Schilling Roger Clemens -------------------------------- You guys are right, he SUCKS!!!
  17. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Jul 1, 2006 -> 02:11 PM) No, he won't. Ball clubs and fans have thought that for years about him, and he just won't do it. He's not a good pitcher and he never will be. Since 2000, he's never had a season with an ERA of 5.00 or higher, so he isn't THAT bad. The thing with Vazquez is that he has stretches where he gets absolutely rocked and he has stretches where he is close to unhittable. I have been following just about every start he has made the past two years and seen the trend. For Arizona last year, he would either give up 9 runs or throw 8 innings of one run ball. Give him a chance, he will win us several games down the stretch this year.
  18. Vasquez is going to turn it around. He needs to work on the corners more and avoid the big inning just like Garland has to. I'd give him time, he can be dominating at times.
  19. I guarenteed that home run to my mom after she was bad mouthing Thome. I'm 3-3 on calling his shots this year, the other two were off Santana against the Twins and off Reyes on our only hit.
  20. QUOTE(knightni @ Jul 1, 2006 -> 12:21 PM) AJ no matter his BA, should be passed over for the AS game. There are too many quality catchers this year in the AL. Gooch, Dye, Kong, Thome, Contreras, Buehrle and Jenks are the possible all stars. Buehrle and Gooch are about the only semi-questionable ones of those 7 if you had to only pick 5. I agree, AJ isn't all that deserving. He handles our staff so well though and that's all I'm used to seeing. Posada might actually be more deserving numbers wise, but there's no way Oz will add another Yankee to the team. We're probably going to end up with Gooch only if Cano stays hurt, Thome, Konerko (maybe), Contreras, Buehrle (maybe), Crede should be there, same with Jenks, and Dye deserves it too. Hopefully with Oz we can get five out of these guys.
  21. QUOTE(Athomeboy_2000 @ Jul 1, 2006 -> 12:12 PM) Ken Rosenthal just said on the Fox pregame show that the Sox might be interested in Miguel Tejada. Personally: no thanks. He's a great player, but do we really need him? O's need pitching, I'd be willing to give up Garland obviously if he waives the clause and maybe a package with Uribe and cash or prospects. Thome, Konerko, Tejada, Dye, Pierz, Crede???? Hell yes I'd take him.
  22. QUOTE(knightni @ Jul 1, 2006 -> 12:08 PM) Liriano and Morneau are getting stiffed huh? The American League is stacked this year. If Ozzie wasn't the manager I think Dye, Crede, AJ, ect would be snubbed. That being said, I don't think the Sox will get 7 guys in obviously, but you never know with Oz. Looking at the stats for those two, they definitely deserve to go. Thanks to ESPN I had no idea that they were having THAT good of a year. Liriano's ERA is sick, I didn't know it was that good.
  23. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Jul 1, 2006 -> 12:03 PM) Alex Rios is in the hospital, might not be back till Aug. Hafner IS going, so I dont know where you get your 0 count for the Indians, and nice logic for the Royals....... :rolly Didn't know that about Rios. I just forgot about Hafner, which makes my point that Ronnie shouldn't be there more strong. Who do you think is a deserving All-Star from the Royals? :rolly
