  1. For those who enjoy NFL coach rants, this video is for you! I about pissed myself watching this I was laughing so hard.
  2. QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Jan 15, 2007 -> 02:41 PM) Nice obfuscation. No one (here) has claimed that the Dems' take-over would represent the end of business as usual. The theme here is of improvement, and that is absolutely happening. And as for Pelosi, this was never about her. It was about some regional magistrate trying to have his way. Obfuscation my ass. They ran their whole campaign on 2 themes, Iraq and corruption in Washington. Now she comes out with a sweetheart deal which exempts big business in her own district from a law that affects everyone else. That's just total bulls***.
  3. QUOTE(Texsox @ Jan 15, 2007 -> 03:17 PM) Well we can all rest easily. With another deterrent, terrorism has now been wiped from the planet. And yet another martyr was created. Tell me, do you have to walk around with a bandage over your chest to prevent your heart from bleeding all over your shirts? In case you forgot these men were responsible for genocide. I suppose you would have let all the Nazi's escape the hangmans noose because killing them would have produced "martyrs". Spare me.
  4. QUOTE(Texsox @ Jan 15, 2007 -> 03:15 PM) If the guy next to you doesn't want to f*** the same person as you, that's a distraction. Somehow the rest of the population can live and work alongside gays, yet the military can't. Is the big bad sergeant afraid that he may get gay cooties? I'll bet a gay man could hook up wire to a guy's nuts and torture someone just as well as any man or woman currently serving. Threats of violence towards their fellow soldiers? Wow, that's a code of conduct for you. B..BBB.BBBB..BBut I thought some survey said servicemembers didn't have a problem with gay people!?!?! Maybe they do and thats why they shouldn't be there.
  5. QUOTE(Queen Prawn @ Jan 15, 2007 -> 01:49 PM) I just read about that on nbc5.com. What would cause that to happen? If they dropped him too far the force created by the combination of his own weight and gravity sometimes is enough to cause that to happen.
  6. QUOTE(LowerCaseRepublican @ Jan 15, 2007 -> 01:49 PM) Sure it is. If they have the merit for the job and they were asked to leave because of their sexuality (as if that somehow inhibited their job) then it is everything to do about merit. People who can do the job are asked to leave because of some closet case homophobes that don't want "icky" gays around. No. It doesn't inhibit their job, it's a distraction that inhibits other people's ability to do theirs. I dont expect you to understand though. Your smug little "I'm not there but I'm still qualified to comment" reaction is about what I expected.
  7. QUOTE(Rex Kicka** @ Jan 15, 2007 -> 01:33 PM) As more and more evidence shows that homosexuality isn't a choice for most homosexuals, having to hide it sounds more and more ridiculous. Saying that all Americans are equal and deserve to serve based on their merits rather than their sexuality isn't social engineering. This was never a question of merit.
  8. Gotta love those Slackhawks. They get a new coach, convert a few power plays, and poke their heads above .500 for the 1st time in forever and what happens? They promptly drop their next 6 games. I LOL'ed.
  9. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Jan 13, 2007 -> 07:08 PM) Nothing 'tall wrong with that. More like it took her getting caught doing exactly what she promised not to do for her to change her mind. I thought business as usual was over in Washington?
  10. QUOTE(LowerCaseRepublican @ Jan 15, 2007 -> 12:53 PM) Think about that -- $364 million just because some homophobes want to be assured that Lt. Joe isn't checking out his ass during training. If they're openly hitting on people and being obnoxious -- that's one thing (and that should be dealt with hetero or homosexual). If they serve and work well then that's all that should matter, not what orifice they like to pleasure when they're in the privacy of their own rooms. Thats more like 364 million just because some gay people couldn't play by a simple rule to keep their mouths ( or other orifices ) closed. Either that or they found military service distasteful and outed themselves simply so they'd get kicked out ( seen that happen a few times during my time ). It's really easy for people like you to sit back and say ( ohhhhh thats so bad that they discriminate against teh gay people!!! ). Leave social engineering out of the military please........we have our hands full as it is.
  11. http://www.cnn.com/2007/WORLD/meast/01/15/...ions/index.html Took his head right off. LOL!!
  12. QUOTE(jasonxctf @ Jan 15, 2007 -> 10:32 AM) agreed. eliminate the policy and let openly gay soldiers serve. easy fix. it's not 1945 anymore. I dont care if it's 1945 or 2007. Openly gay people serving was a bad plan then and its still a bad plan now. Openly gay soldiers are a distraction, their presence would undermine discipline and morale, and they themselves would be in danger ( Most soldiers dont exactly like gay people and despite any rules to "leave the gay guy alone" they would still be the victims of verbal and physical abuse ). I dont know who that survey asked when they did their survey. In the grunt world I live in, if there was even the slightest suspicion someone was gay that person caught hell.
  13. I just cant wait to watch Tom Brady stick it to Peyton Manning yet again. That's gonna be SOOOOOOOOO sweet.
  14. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Jan 11, 2007 -> 10:59 AM) I probably have more, but off the top of my head Paris Hilton is fugly. Good call on your's too Gage. Pamela scares me. Not only is she ugly but she's a dirty tramp to boot. God knows what sort of fungus and stuff is growing in her cooch.
  15. How shocking is it that Pelosi applies the law to everyone else but corporate interests based in her district. Honest government indeed.
  16. QUOTE(Soxy @ Jan 10, 2007 -> 01:55 PM) The most conservative score I could get was a 38 (I'm not sure what I'm missing to hit 40), and the most liberal was a 2. Maybe the endpoints aren't actually achievable. Also, I think some issues could go either way when considering the extremes. For example, the far religious right and pornography and the stance of some far left feminists is the same (though the rationale is different). I BS'd on a couple of the questions to assure I was in line with my hero but if I actually answered everything according to my beliefs Id probably still got north of 30.
  17. QUOTE(santo=dorf @ Jan 13, 2007 -> 11:58 AM) Nuke did you see that black Panther idiot on the O'Reily show a few days ago? He says he isn't sorry for a clip they showed of him getting a bunch of racist sheep to chant "guilty" about the charges against the Duke players right after the chargers were filed. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ni66JEutyjo Contrary to most people's belief, I dont watch O'reilly that much. However, some of his guests are good for a laugh like this bonehead. LOL!!!
  18. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/16599880/ Nifong wants out. DROP THE CHARGES!!!!
  19. BUMP**** http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,243063,00.html The dirty, lying tramp changes her story again. How long is this travesty of a case going to go on? How much longer are these innocent boys going to have these false accusations hanging over their heads? DROP ALL CHARGES NOW!!!!!
  20. QUOTE(AbeFroman @ Jan 11, 2007 -> 04:57 PM) Nuke!!!! Something we agree on!!! While I don't feel the complete sense of outrage you do, I definitely think this market is the product of some really naive and dumb decision making when it comes to mortgages. There is a speculative bubble.... and its gonna really hurt some people. The ship be sinking for the housing market Its not this particular issue that outrages me but just a general sense of outrage I feel when people create problems for themselves then cry and whine about it and expect someone to come fix it for them.
  21. It really makes me laugh how stupid, naive and what a massive sense of entitlement some people have. A speculative housing bubble forms where people's homes appreciate to levels they really have no business being at. Of course then when the market corrects itself and prices return to more normal levels people think the world is coming to an end and start pointing fingers of blame. People also love to cry poor after taking out all these exotic morgatges then having it blow up in their face now that interest rates are up. whaa.......whaa......whaa.
  22. I really dont think this troop surge is a good idea at all. Far as I can see we should be stepping back into a training role and letting the Iraqi's deal with these insurgents. They've got to do it sometime and the longer we hold their hand at it the worse off we're gonna be in the long run. Im defenitely not for cutting and running but it's time we pulled back.
  23. QUOTE(CrimsonWeltall @ Jan 7, 2007 -> 11:22 PM) NUKE, she's french! I really couldn't care less! She can surrender to me ANYTIME!!!!!
  24. The news anchor chick who is on the LCI news service out of Europe. OH MY GOD!!!
  25. QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Jan 7, 2007 -> 09:37 PM) I cant believe someone would say all that..... small minded... Small minded huh? Read the Koran and see what it says about the treatment of women and what should be done with those who do not follow the prophet Mohammed. If you're going to make stupid comments like that I suggest you have your ducks in a row first.
