  1. Im looking forward to that new CIA movie "The Good Shepard". Ive been wanting to see that one since I first saw the previews for it a few months ago.
  2. QUOTE(LowerCaseRepublican @ Dec 17, 2006 -> 03:02 PM) Actually it is representatives from the CIA and the US government who have said that some of their extralegal maneuvers to extract information (read: torture) means that they cannot bring many of these people up for a trial or they'll have their system exposed because what they did to them was extralegal. The infamous they strikes again. /rolly
  3. QUOTE(LowerCaseRepublican @ Dec 17, 2006 -> 02:12 PM) You mean the government's assurances that they were going after the guilty party(ies) were not just enough to assuage everyone's possible skepticism in this case? To many people here at ST.com Overzealous DA wanting fame and attention to get elected going overboard with accusations = bad US government wanting fame and attention to get elected going overboard with accusations = good foreign policy See -- hiding evidence, lying government officials...And yet people get all hot and bothered when somebody dares to question indefinite detentions where over 80% of them are eventually freed because there is no evidence to prosecute. Simply put -- Wrong is wrong no matter who does it or says it. Now you're comparing this scumbag DA to the U.S. Governments detention of terrorists huh? Thats a rediculous statement even for you. Need I remind you that it is leftists like you that are preventing these terrorists from having a day in court with your frivolus legal challenges.
  4. QUOTE(The Critic @ Dec 17, 2006 -> 09:38 AM) Yeah, but then YOU'LL need a few shots afterward....at the clinic.... What do they say? Wrap it before you tap it? LOL!
  5. QUOTE(juddling @ Dec 17, 2006 -> 12:46 AM) Zimbabwe needs farmers back Part of me wishes that the displaced farmers would tell them to take a flying leap but i guess if they have a chance to get their family farms back i would understand. I wouldnt. Mugabe drove all the remaining white people off their farms and if I were them Id make my living elsewhere where I was actually welcome.
  6. QUOTE(juddling @ Dec 17, 2006 -> 12:57 AM) Tara Reid Anyone want to guess want the over/under will be on Tara even making it till midnight before she shows her drunken skank colors????????? Still...should make for some interesting stories Get a few shots in her and anythings possible.
  7. http://abclocal.go.com/wls/story?section=l...&id=4856922 Heads he was threatened with his job to keep quiet. Tails he was paid to keep quiet.
  8. QUOTE(YASNY @ Dec 16, 2006 -> 06:31 AM) I hope, if he did hang these kids out to dry the way it appears, that he gets reacquainted with some other folks he may have met in the courtroom. Agreed. This scumbag needs to be busted out of his job and clapped in irons. This is about the most outrageous abuse of authority I've ever seen.
  9. QUOTE(santo=dorf @ Dec 16, 2006 -> 10:59 AM) Little testy for you? As for this decision, this goes against the Constitution and our freedom, something the terrorists HATE about America. Therefore if you support this decision, you're kissing the terrorists' asses. Using this narrow logic makes so much sense! There you go again trying to apply the Constitution to FOREGINERS. That is NON-CITIZENS, PEOPLE WHO ARE NOT AMERICANS!!!! Do you think people dont notice when you make insane statements like that?
  10. QUOTE(Steff @ Dec 15, 2006 -> 06:20 PM) Alyson Hannigan played the "band camp" girl. Looking at that pic that looked like the band camp chick. Who is this then?
  11. Anyone want to guess at potential NUKE theme songs?
  12. http://www.cnn.com/2006/SHOWBIZ/Movies/12/...reut/index.html Molest a dog?!?! Im gonna leave this one up to you guys, this is too easy.
  13. QUOTE(Texsox @ Dec 14, 2006 -> 10:19 PM) I don't care about terrorists either, I do care that we figure out who is a terrorist and who isn't. I don't care if due process occurs in the military courtroom or civilian US courts. But there needs to be a process that determines their fate. The right doesn't want them in civilian courts, but doesn't want to call them military either. So they won't give them a trial in a civilian courtroom. The right wants to try civilians in a military court. Gee that makes sense. The left agrees they aren't military and wants to try them in civilian courts. They didn't break laws in the US but the left wants to try them in a US civilian court. Gee, that makes sense. Both sides are preventing trials from happening. IMHO call them enemy combatants, follow the Geneva conventions. These people are foreginers and terrorist suspects to boot and they were captured on foregin soil. They have no business in a U.S. civilian courtroom. PERIOD! If the left would stop holding up the process with their lawsuits these people could get their trial and we could be done with them one way or the other.
  14. Bah. I could care less about those petulant morons I went to HS with.
  15. You gotta be sh!ttin me. Another Die Hard?!?!?!?!??!
  16. QUOTE(YASNY @ Dec 14, 2006 -> 09:28 AM) I don't see where OUR constitution should apply to these people in any way, shape or form ... unless they are US citizens. The Geneva convention is for uniformed personal. If you are caught spying while blending into the populace, not in uniform ... you are S.O.L. as far as Geneva is concerned. These people, and I used the word loosely here, are not in the uniform of any nation's military. Geneva does not apply. Thats the point Ive been making all along. At least someone around here gets it. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Dec 14, 2006 -> 12:31 PM) Then give them a fair trial and convict them. If the United States can't prove what should be a fairly simple case, then why should I judge them to be a threat? We've been trying to get military tribunals for these people for literally years now but the bleeding heart leftists dont want that. They want them in American courtrooms where they DEFENITELY dont belong. It is the left that is depriving these people of trials.
  17. QUOTE(BobDylan @ Dec 13, 2006 -> 09:51 PM) NUKE! WHAT THE f*** IS UP!!!!!!!!!!!!! Er.... HOW THE f*** ARE YA!!!!!!!! I forgot. Been too long since the chat room. Off season blows ass dont it? How YOU doin?! HAHA
  18. There needs to be provision made so that children born to illegal alien parents are not automatically granted citizenship. Once that is done then both parents and children need to be sent packing to wherever they came from. Too bad the new bleeding heart Congress will hear nothing of it.
  19. QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Dec 13, 2006 -> 06:50 PM) Victory for BushCo, yes. And another devastating body blow to America's image as the former champion of human rights and dignity. More like a devastating body blow to those who feel that coddling terrorists and bending over back asswards for people who want to kill us will somehow make them be nice to us.
  20. The court of previous years might have overturned it with Oconnor but with Alito and Roberts on board I dont think they will.
  21. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20061213/ap_on_...tainees_lawsuit BRAVO!
  22. QUOTE(Texsox @ Dec 13, 2006 -> 04:36 PM) And if it is proven they knowningly hired people with false papers I can see the fine. But if they were in a pilot program from the government and the government won't even tell them if the social security number is being used at another employer, how can the *same government* then fine them? Come on let's change the laws and help businesses. The IRS and Social Security knew that these numbers were being used multiple times but doesn't notify the employers, now you want the government to fine them millions of dollars?? Well if that is in fact true then I see your point. Guess we'll leave it up to the investigators to find out exactly what happened there.
  23. QUOTE(sox4lifeinPA @ Dec 13, 2006 -> 04:23 PM) First of all, that he recovers... then we can talk politics Agreed
