Governments job is to provide basic public services such as those you mentioned & that's it. When Government gets into the business of overregulating people, taxing the hell out of them and meddles with social engineering people need to stand up and say no. Those people are the conservatives.

Because every democtatic politician since Kennedy has done nothing but weaken and demoralize the military. Johnson: He escalated Vietnam to the highest levels it reached only to tie both our arms and one leg behind our backs and let us perish in the jungle for what seemed to the troops to be nothing. Carter: Allowed the military to flounder with out of date equipment and also allowed the Soviets to bully us around during his whole term. Clinton: Chopped the Army in half forcing the wholesale retirement of experienced officers and NCO's who wanted to stay in and while I dont have figures on the rest of the services I'm sure they suffered similar fates. A really big reason we have to rely on our reserve forces to help deal with the missions we have today.

The really sad part is that he probably makes more money per hit he gives up than I can make in a whole year.

If Botch was the key to this season that's the same as saying you broke the key off in the door lock of your car last year and didn't ever call the locksmith & now you've got somewhere important to be ( in the case of the Sox it's the playoffs ).

Last year he was effective for us & shut up his critics about as often as MB is shutting up C Rectum this season ( Where is ass boy these days anyway? ). Obviously he's been a far too frequent regular at Dunkin Donuts & Taco Bell this past offseason.

Yeah, but you should add in the "heart attack factor" with Botch. Seems like he cant have an easy inning unless he's in a make-work outing with a 10 run lead.

I think Carter was a weak leader but he is a good hearted man & nobody with any decency would try to tarnish someone's rep like that after his death. As for Clinton, I totally disagree with most of his policies and I found a lot of his conduct to be morally reprehensible but again, I'm not going to celebrate a presidents death.

Botch is useless. Unless it's a 10 run defecit or lead type situation he needs to be in the basement washing jock straps.

Whenever Botch throws the 3rd 1-2-3 inning in his life ( which will probably be in mop up work with a 10 run lead or defecit ) and his last 1 or 2 bandwagon members start singing his praises again this thread is gonna get bumped & the scorn coming from the Nukester will be something to behold.

He's a little child who has no comprehension of anything of any consequense. I mean look at him. He's worried about hurting the feelings of someone who makes 6.5 million dollars a season. With cash like that you can go out and buy yourself a nice thick skin, maybe he can loan Beastly some so he can go buy a clue.

My suggestion about the starters beaning him to death was a joke and I hope everyone took it as such ( That was pretty silly and intended to try to make some humor out of a really bad situation & yes in my infinite wisdom I forgot the green ) but you actually sound serious & that's way over the top there killer.

I am really impressed by the usual SLAP suspects on this issue. I was fully expecting to see a brawl thread develop out of this but by in large we're choosing to remember the man for the good things he brought to the table.

Next time Botch has the balls to ask for the ball in a tough spot Ozzie should hand him one of these deals here & tell him "Get downstairs b****, there's uniforms fresh out of the dryer that need ironing."

It's like I said at the beginning of the season. Billy Botch needs to spend the rest of his time with the Sox down in the basement of the Cell somewhere washing jock straps & ironing uniforms. This s***bag couldn't close a f***ing door & is the sorriest excuse for a pitcher I've ever seen.
