Absoulutely right. We may depend on them for our energy needs but without us as a customer their oil ( revenue ) dependent economies would quickly falter.

That is not true at all, just a stereotype. Unfortunately the oil and terrorism are all anybody ever hears about.

When the appropriate time comes that technology will not only appear but be ready to easily replace oil. By proper time I mean when there is another oil crisis ( I mean a real oil crisis, not gas that's 2 bucks a gallon ) which is either man made ( Middle East decides to stop selling crude to us ) or natural ( The planet starts to run low on oil ) ( Both scenarios are why I am against drilling in the ANWR at this time. ANWR oil is of far more use to us as a strategic hedge against the 2 scenarios I have outlined). At such a time we will tap the vast reserves in Alaska and Northern Canada while we bring fuel cell, hydrogen and related technologies online. Until such time, however, oil industry will do everything it can to suppress any technology that could take its place in the near term.

We are 6 percent of the world who could wipe out the other 94% in 20 minutes if we chose to do so. With our military, economic and political strength as great as it is I think it behooves other nations to stay on our good side.

How many times do I have to repeat this. Civillians are not deliberatley targeted. If Isreal wanted to kill every pali on the Gaza Strip they could do it in a few days with little trouble. :banghead

One thing that is good about intra-rotation rivalries is that it brings up the intensity level a notch. Hopefully those two try really hard all season to outdo each other and bring Garland along for the ride.

That is a very tough call but I go with Maggs simply because he is a fan favorite whereas Colon wasn't around long enough to gather the same following someone like Burhle.

To those who would say yes let me ask you what your reaction would be if some vindictive person killed your entire family in front of you for no reason whatsoever. If you can forgive someone who does something like that then you are a better person than me.

If Wood keeps throwing 130+ pitches a game then he's not gonna be in the rotation very much longer. :fthecubs
