major league 2 f***in blew. everything that made the first one great was either changed or muted. it was a g-rated major league 1. and randy quaid wasn't funny he was just annoying as s***.

so that's what he thinks, so what. i wouldn't go so far as to call him a hatemonger, just for hating a certain group of people. if i did, i could just as easily call you a hatemonger because you hate people who are pro-war. i rarely agree with anything you say but most of the time i just shrug it off, cause calling you an idiot isn't going to accomplish anything.

apu get off ldf's back, he never called you any names and just because he has a different viewpoint doesn't mean he's stupid. for a pacifist you sure have no trouble starting fights.

people loooooooooove to panic. i wasn't a huge supporter of the koch trade either but what's done is done, and the sox need to koch to come through if they are going to do anything, so i'll just wait and see. furthermore, koch blew two out of his first four save chances last year, and went on to save 42 out of the next 46 opportunities. you know what the 2000 team's record was through 13 games? 7-6. i'm not worried.

so you have declared a) that you didn't "come after" cwsox when the title of the thread was "CWSOX!!!!!!!!!!!!/ Detroit sucks"; B) that you are misunderstood, and all you really wanted was to share your views, which i suppose might be understandable, but when your first two posts in the thread consist of mostly "detroit sucks, cujo sucks, wings are old" etc, there is nothing to misunderstand; c) that i am childish, when you said, "I can only wonder if cwsox was actually crying while posting, or if he slept at all last night." which i guess to you isn't a childish statement; and d) that i should get a life, when the first thing you did when the hockey game ended was to run over to your computer and taunt cwsox. well i must say, your case is rock-solid.

April 3rd against Seattle, 4-4 game in the top of the 10th, Foulke gives up a run to the mariners to make it 5-4, only to be saved in the bottom of the 10th by a Terrence Long home run to make it 5-5. Don't act like Foulke is perfect. The difference between having him and Koch is that, even though they're both going to blow some saves, Koch is going to want the ball the next day to go right back at them and get it right.
-
haha yes, you did come after him and no you are not misunderstood. look at the title of this thread, "CWSOX!!!!!!!!/ Detroit sucks" yeah, really misunderstood, you have a funny way of sharing your views.
-
haha ok im the moron. you're the one who came after cwsox for no good reason, got a verbal beat down, and is now backing away with your tail between your legs.
-
that's what i figured you meant, i am usually pretty good at guessing what people are trying to say.

UNH is a decent team, they beat umass in the semis of the hockey east tournament, which pissed me off. The bruins are my favorite NHL team (it was the ducks for years but it is hard to keep track of a team on the west coast when they're never on tv), but they are frustrating because the owner is incredibly cheap. Jeremy Jacobs makes Reinsdorf look like Steinbrenner. Bobby Oah (Orr) is just cool.
-
cwsox now you are starting to see how koch this talks s*** for no good reason. i am not gonna dispute minnesota or michigan as great hockey states, but massachusetts can stake its claim. you have the bruins, with their tradition, you have the beanpot teams; boston college, boston university, northeastern and harvard, plus umass, umass lowell, and merrimack in major college hockey. then you have 3 ahl teams (springfield, lowell, and worcester). not too shabby.

well i am no expert on religion either. when i first read some tao, it frustrated me because i thought it was such a pessimistic view. everything balances, no peaks no valleys, no beginnings or endings. but it doesn't really bother me anymore, it puts things in perspective (as much as i hate that phrase). you realize your place in the universe. i have not learned a whole lot about zen, but what i have learned, i love. i love how it preaches simplicity and focus. it's fascinating. if i had to choose a religion today, here and now, i might go zen buddhist.

i think religion is a good guide for life. i think all the major (credible) religions have the same basic ideas; compassion, responsibility, perseverance. i think regardless of whether you think a big man in the sky made heaven and hell and everything inbetween, or you think humans are just another link in the evolutionary chain with a superiority complex and an inclination to believe in magic a little too often, you can't refute the ideas of religion. yes, religion has created a lot of bad (when its own followers begin to ignore some major ideas), but it has also done a lot of good. it has served as a moral basis in many societies. some of the best literature i've ever come across includes not only the bible, but also works of islam, confucianism and taoism, among others. also re: the free will defense, it works until you consider natural evil like earthquakes and hurricanes that destroy and take lives. ahunno, i don't pretend to understand either.

I am 100% with you on that. just tell you are practiing Wiccan and will cast a spell to shrivel their sex organs if they annoy you one more time. Real people of faith you will know without them ever saying a word. Living, not annoying others with incessant "are you saved" and "where you spend eternity" is the real thing that speaks. people who practice wicca don't cast spells.

i care about winning every series, i don't care about sweeping every team.
