Brando has a point, of sorts. I too think the music is crap. However, don't blame the bands and labels for making the music, blame the public for liking it. If there wasn't such a demand for it, there wouldn't be so many s***ty boy bands. If they stopped making the music purely on principle, someone else would just come along and make it. It's awful music, but smart business, considering how quickly and cheaply they can pump out the albums.

i don't think we'd get sanchez for colon. the red sox wouldn't even give up fossum for colon, nevermind their best prospect. but who knows, if it gets to the deadline and the red sox are neck and neck with the yanks, epstein might feel pressured to make the deal. also, there's no way i'd want to trade konerko right now, when his value is so low. the guy is a good hitter he's just struggling for some reason.

i wish people would try and understand economics before they tear down these kids. this is a low-risk, high-reward investment for nike. if he turns out to be the real deal, they get him for a lot less than he'll be worth. if he does flop (which he is already proving he won't) then they haven't spent alot on him.

garland is 2-4 with a 5.70 era, yeah i can see how people would underrate him. bill mueller hasn't been talked about much this year, but the man is hitting .390 in 41 games, he hits a lot of doubles and he plays a stellar 3rd base. i certainly underrated him at the beginning of the year.

i think unless you have been to the brink and back, you can't call someone selfish for committing suicide. when you are deeply depressed of course you are going to think of yourself first. the reason you are depressed in the first place is that you feel the world has let you down. if you were making decisions based on the consequences for other people, then you wouldn't be so depressed, because you would care about other people, and feel like they cared about you. what you need to understand is that people who are suicidal view the world in a totally different way than the average person, and often it is not their fault. things happen, circumstances arise that they have no control over, and it is not always easy to pick yourself up and fight again.
