Carlos Lee consistently swings at the first pitch. In any situation. He lets a lot of pitchers off the hook that way. For instance the other day against Zambrano when we had him in a high pitch count. Carlos Lee is the first batter up and swings at the first pitch. That is f***ed up! Take some pitches, get Zambrano out of the game earlier and get to the bullpen. Lee is just a dumb ball player. Good hitter, but very very dumb!

Your perception is skewed because you must not like Kenny. Some of those trades you consider lost were either wins or washes. Pacheco for Alomar is a loss? We got Sandy back the next year and got Pacheco in return. We got something for nothing and lost? How? Julio Ramirez for Jeff Abbott a loss? Neither has done anything in the majors? How is that a loss? That is a wash. Just a couple of examples. Very skewed in my opinion.

That is what Bruce Levine reported yesterday. He said the holdup was deferred money in the last year, either 5, 10, or 15 years down the road at either 1 or 2 percent intrest AND/OR not enough up front money. Sounds more like an agent issue to me than a player issue, but that is just silly speculation on my part.
