  1. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Mar 10, 2005 -> 08:24 PM) BMAC's arm motion makes me worry about elbow surgery Really? Looks pretty smooth to me.
  2. Nice inning for BMac against the big boppers. This is the first time I've seen him. Assessment: somebody should get that man some food.
  3. QUOTE(Jabroni @ Mar 9, 2005 -> 10:16 PM) I'm with ya. Ozuna has looked great. I think we will be trading Willie soon. The hitting and defense has looked damn good, but it's spring training and I try not to get caught up in that stuff. What I love is that he seems to bust his ass off. Checked his profile--had no idea that he was 30 yrs old. Thats probably telling.
  4. Anybody want to join me in the Pablo Ozuna Fan Club?
  5. QUOTE(DonkeyKongerko @ Mar 9, 2005 -> 08:52 PM) Really, Crede's swing looks shorter to me than it did during his slumps last year. Walk and him have been working hard on changing it. Good inning for the Sox, HR and 3 doubles. Maybe I'm not looking close enough. Still looks like a long sweeping swing to me, but whatever. Hawk says that Sammy was "suspeona'd"
  6. Nice hit by Joe, but his swing still looks long to me. Unless he learns how to shorten that stroke, he's bound for another sub .250 season.
  7. No, this is gangsta. "Wasn't I great on Saved by the Bell?"
  8. It's been pretty hard for me to forget how much of an asswhipe he was in Minney. But things like this sure make it easier. He's our asswhipe now and I'm glad we have him. Besides, we needed a good asswhipe.
  9. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Mar 7, 2005 -> 10:59 PM) JOR-HEY TOE-CA! clap clap clap clap clap In my best Harry Caray impression... "Jorge Toca backwards is Egroj Acot!"
  10. QUOTE(qwerty @ Mar 7, 2005 -> 10:09 PM) Is a .269 career average, .306 obp, and .691 ops something to be excited about? Nobody is saying that Timo is anything special. I think it has more to do with how freaking bad Borchard is. Maybe he is showing us something today, but unless he can prove that he can perform when it counts (which Timo has actually done occasionally), there is no use for him as a player off the bench.
  11. QUOTE(qwerty @ Mar 7, 2005 -> 10:00 PM) Borchard>timo? Nope. You don't want a guy with Borchard's strikeout rate coming off the bench, especially in key situations. I like the home run possibilities, but he's just too easy of an out.
  12. QUOTE(thomsonmi @ Mar 7, 2005 -> 09:57 PM) 2004 Spring Training Standings Post 10,888 detailing how spring training means nothing.... Reason 10,889: Ben Davis and Joe Borchard look damn good.
  13. I'll be concerned if they are doing this 2 weeks from now. I get the feeling that we won't be seeing things like Cora sending Pauly home with no outs once we get further into the spring. We also won't have to watch the likes of Kevin Walker. Wow. Rogowski is a big boy.
  14. By the way, in case you can't tell: Uribe getting picked off at second (left), Iguchi (center) and A.J. on the right.
  15. Some action shots from todays game...
  16. 6 in a row retired. Man, we are gonna suck this year.
  17. QUOTE(KipWellsFan @ Mar 2, 2005 -> 06:05 AM) lineup for tommorow facing right hander Jamey Wright -Podsednik LF -Iguchi 2B -Everett DH -Konerko 1B -Dye RF -Pierzynski C -Rowand CF -Crede 3B -Uribe SS EDIT:Position players expected to remain in game for 2 at-bats at least. After Adkins starts the game he will be followed by closer Shingo Takatsu, Damaso Marte, Luis Vizcaino, Cliff Politte, Neal Cotts, Dustin Hermanson and Felix Diaz. http://chicago.whitesox.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb...t=.jsp&c_id=cws That there be the opening day lineup. I like it.
  18. When you have a guy talking s*** about you, who has created a reputation of being a solid ballplayer and a good guy, falsely labeled or not, you have to protect your own image. In this case, Magglio has continuously trashed our organization in recent months for decreasing his value, being cheap and not caring about winning. In other cases, I'd say don't respond and let the issue die. In this case, I have absolutely no problem with Ozzie doing what he did and its probably in the Sox best interests to respond to his false claims. I guess my point is, taking Maggs criticism in stride would not help our situation. And Anthrax, while you may have a point in your criticisms of Ozzie, it seems firmly clouded behind whatever vendetta you seem to have for anything Sox management does. Seriously man, what is the deal? Wait, don't answer that.
  19. By the way, somebody should have told Hillary Swank that she wore her dress backwards.
  20. QUOTE(Cali @ Feb 28, 2005 -> 05:51 AM) I know. I'm sure Jude Law had a good laugh about it. When he hosted SNL a few months back he even joked about it himself saying "Alot of you may know me from my filmwork. Perhaps from the 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 films I have coming out right now." He should call up Sean Penn and tell him to shut the f*** up. I'm actually a Sean Penn fan, but he definitely came off as a douchebag tonight. Chris Rock makes fun of everybody. If it's you or somebody you know, take it in stride...or, you know, take it as a joke.
