The Official 2007-08 NFL Draft Thread
I really loved that draft. Angelo did a tremendous job going with need picks early on and than getting agressive and taking some nice looking athletes (with the plethora of picks they had, he had a little leverage to get a little riskier in the latter rounds and hopefully it will pay off). Bowman could turn into a stellar pick if he can get healthy. He's got great size and speed for a CB. Kellen Davis is a tremendous athlete too. I don't know how the Bears plan on using him, but to get an athlete like that when they did, I tip my cap (he is one of the late round picks in the entire draft who has the raw abilities to be an impact type of pick...albeit the odds are obviously stacked against him). I wonder if the Bears try him out on the edge as opposed to TE (although having him develop and eventually replace Clark wouldn't be a bad idea either). He isn't the blocker Gilmore was, but with time he can be a very good blocker as well as a legitimate receiving target as well.

Although I will get it fixed...I swear. Ranger, when you say it in IE did the site look better, or at least better than 1997. I'm not going to say we built a super fancy site, we went with the clean look that is really easy to update which we hope makes it easier to provide as much edgy content on the Chicago Sports clubs.

QUOTE (rangercal @ Apr 28, 2008 -> 06:12 AM) Bingo. Thanks Ya, It looks horrid in firefox. I'd like to figure out why, but the stylesheet/css is not picking up in FireFox, yet it works on Opera, IE and everything else I've tried. It is really frustrating the hell out of me. Oh and I am dead serious...IE is now better than FireFox. I was FireFox fan boy #1 for a long time, but slowly firefox has just gotten crappier, imo. I have far more errors surfing the net on Fox than I do on IE. Plus ever site works on IE, many don't work on firefox.

i am drunk
QUOTE (shipps @ Apr 27, 2008 -> 08:27 AM) You slept with Jordan4life. Who hasn't...ah f***....better get tested. Friend called me up, said I decided to start a new trend called slap dancing...was dancing with random people and than would playfully smack them. How I didn't get punched in the face is beyond me. I also apparently got tipped a few times with chicks putting dollar bills in my boxers as I apparently did a stripper dance out on the patio. I know this because I woke up this morning and had a couple dolalr bills in my boxers.

Hardy makes sense. Good pick. Henne will be a Bear.

Cowboys have no idea what to expect from PacMan and Anthony Henry/Newman are both 30 or older. Makes sense to me, given that they really don't have any major needs. I'm wondering when the run on WR's happens.

Holy f***...trade down....so many guys on the board that I like for the Bears. Mendy/Thomas/Albert/Williams/Otah.

Carolina probably takes a tackle too. Unless they surprise us and go with Mendenhall. I really don't think they do, but they have had issues with backs staying healthy. Otherwise it looks like the Bears will have one of Otah/Williams/Albert plus Mendenhall & Thomas as options).

I'm predicting the Bears make a deal with a team moving up to grab Cromartie or McCelvin.

We are all in a chat over on talkbears for anyone interested. Also, here is my take as of now with who will be there when the Bears pick (in fact I'm believing every olineman not named long will be on the board for the Bears pick). http://www.talkchicagosports.com/blog/?p=19

TCSN NOW OPEN
Check out TalkChicagoSports The new front page for the network has launched just in time for the NFL draft. We'll have pieces flowing regarding the Bears selection throughout the day and there is also a Bears and Sox story already active. We will be adding features to the site throughout the next month or two as it gets better established. Please provide us with feedback. Note: The Site does not work with Mozilla [Firefox] (it is a sub-standard browser that blows compared to IE). However, I am working on fixing the issues related to Mozilla and hopefully in a week or so the site will show up properly in Mozilla (and when I say it doesn't work, I mean it looks hideous on Mozilla).

TexSox's scary snake story
I certainly wouldn't have used a knife. Maybe a f***ing sword but no god damn way would I have gotten that close to a freaking rattler (I have actually been hiking and had one pop up right in front of me (and when I say right in front of me, I mean like inches from my f***ing body). Luckily it continued on its marry weigh. That same trip I also had one strike at me, thank god it didn't get close enough and I hightailed the f*** out of the way.
