Exactly...this would be absolutely fantastic. The Sox bullpen is solidied with Mota, the rotation is solidified with Perez and Edwin Jackson/Greg Miller. The minor are also strengthened as the Sox just brought in their new top 2 prospects in the organization and we get a very solid bat to replace Magglio. I would then sign Raul Mondesi or somehow find a left handed bat (The Sox now are way under budget) and I'd play Encarnacion in center with Mondesi and Lee around them. The Sox payroll would be more then affordable too. And if there is any truth to get Carl Everett I'd do that and make him the new DH with Thomas at first. Either way, I'd find someone to play 1st/DH.

Extra Innings is the best aboz . I'd just start rooting more and more for the Angels. The Sox would slip to my 2nd favorite team. Hell, I'm always really tempted to make them my 2nd favorite team, but I just can't do it. I do like the Angels.

Iowa could of won that game though....poor defensive play by them or at least thats my guess. They are frustrating me, but the big team is so wide open, maybe they can find a way to get in the tourney.

Dang, with XP you shouldn't be freezing. It also sounds like its a newer computer, which once again means it shouldn't be freezing. The best thing I'd suggest is to reinstall the operating and essentially start the computer from scratch again, although for most people that isn't really a viable option. I did it when my sis really messed up my comp and put a ton of viruses on there (she did it on accident). Either way, I think you probably still have some reminence of those viruses, that or the viruses corrupted a lot of key files and even though the viruses are gone, some key files are still destroyed and it causes freezing.

My guess you use Windows 98 or older and I don't think there is much you could do about it. The old operating systems have a ton of bugs that cause freezing to occur and such. If you have a newer computer, then I'd say something is wrong with your computer and that its possible you have a virus.

Well the Brewers won't be moving anytime soon. They have an iron clad lease, and I don't know how marketable the Brewers are. It will be interesting to see who goes after them and I can't see them being worth all that much. On the plus side they do have a very nice facility and some loyal fans.

Gray is a damn good DC.

They said the Chiefs gave the Bears permission and he will be the next OC of the Bears. He's a huge step up and Bill Walsh is excited for him. Unfortunately, the Bucs declined permission for the Bears to get Mirinelli as the DC and this has Marinelli and Barry (His son in law who was denied the opportunity to become the Cardinals DC) very upset with the Bucs. As a matter of fact, it was long thought of that Marinelli would be given permission to join the Bears whenever Lovie became the next coach. He (Marinelli) thought it was an understanding that had been arranged. Publicly he has taken things in stride, but he's supposedly very upset. Who knows, maybe the Bucs will change their minds, cause this is incredibly stupid. No one in their right minds would want to coach for the Bucs, if they can't make these type of moves. And it would of been amazing if the Bears could of hired both marinelli and Barry, but that wasn't an option. Either way I hope somehow the Bears end up with Marinelli, he's a hell of a guy and would be a hell of a DC. On a sidenote, John Shoop is the qb coach of the Tampa Bay Bucaneers and will be Simms tutor.

The Bears have hired Shea as the offensive coordinator but the Bucs have denied giving hte Bears permission to hire Marinelli as the defensive coordinator, which means Laramie or something along those lines will likely be the next DC of the Bears. Marineli is very upset about not getting the job because he is very very close friends with Lovie Smith and he thought he and the Bucs had an agreement that he could leave to become Smith's DC.

Carl would be fine...but I think Raul fits better in the sense that he could be had cheap and it wouldn't have to be a long term deal, nor would the Sox have to give anyone up. I bet you could get Mondesi for 2 mill, plus some incentives. He is still a pretty darn good defensive right fielder and isn't too shabby at the plate. Now you wouldn't get Magglio production out of him, but put him in the 5 or 6 hole and it wouldn't be horrific.

I'd take Raul Mondesi for our right fielder to a one year deal and look to acquire Jeff DaVannon along with a pitcher from the Angels if the Angels are looking to dump Washburn/Ortiz.

He was pretty solid for a year or two with the Marlins a long time ago. Still, he's a lefty and at the very least could be a quality guy to have in Charlotte.
