I don't want Torborg near any of the sox arms. I like the way he runs an offense though. I still say BACKMAN BACKMAN BACKMAN. I also have nothing against Valentine cause I think he's a firey guy who will tell his players what on their mind and isn't afraid to bench them.

Don't worry, Cerb is my stat guy. He knows how to analyze stats. I'm more of the tools approach he's a stats type guy so its a good combo.
-
The tensions are obviously high here. I wouldn't be shocked if a team of Soxtalk posters could muster up the same offensive prowess that the Sox did this series.
-
Just get Backman here stat and send Manuel down to AA. Sorry Rex

Whats it really matter, Sox won't score any runs.

I know what my sign will be for the Futures game

I expect lots of pictures and that is such a classic sign -
Damn I forgot about Marte. He definately makes the list. That kid can hit. He crushed the ball when I was watching him down at the Carolina/California league all star game. Another guy I left off is our very own Kris Honel. I think he's one of the best pitching prospects in baseball, although he's not quite a Top 15 guy yet. Nor is Reed, but both are close. I still think the Sox could get Santana in return. I just heard that the Angels are going to be trying to add a bat or two. Angels have quite a few issues. In all honesty I could see some type of package worked out where the Sox land Adam Kennedy, Almazega, and Santana for Roberto Alomar and Frank Thomas or throw out the name Santana and Frank. Alomar, Lee or Daubbie and Loaiza and you could get Kennedy Almazega and two top prospects (One being Santana; and damn would I love to acquire Mathis) although I highly doubt these trades happen. I do think Kennedy would be a good pickup though.

I'm surprsied Rich Harden didn't make the list. For me: Catchers: Joe Mauer Jeff Mathis Victor Martinez First Base: Hep Sep Choi (If you count him) Casey Kotchman Justin Morneau Adrian Gonzalez (Of the Marlins; I think thats his name) Second Base: Brandon Phillips (If you count him) -Not familiar with other second base prospects too much. Usually I don't pay much attention to middle infielders cause most of them fail. Shortstop: Jose Reyes BJ Upton Hanley Ramirez Khalil Greene 3rd Base Textiera (If you count him) Youkilis OF Miguel Cabrera - Also 3rd baseman, but if Lowell stays Cabrera will be here Nick Swisher Wily Mo Pena (if he ever got playing time) Jeremy Reed (I think he's pretty damn good) Delmon Young (Lastings Millede as well) Pitchers Harden Grienke Kazmir Floyd Ervin Santana This is just a quick look at it and I'm not quite the MLB expert as someone like Cerb or some others.

Trust me Buehrle isn't going anywhere. I will not deal any of the young arms. That basically means that Garland, Wright, Buehrle, Marte and Sanders are safe. Olivo, Crede, Rowand and Harris are most likely safe as well.
-
I think its time for me to get to work on breaking up this team. I'm gonna give them about another 10 days before I write my dismanaling the Sox piece.
-
Don't have a clue Kip. I don't know why getting rid of a spybot would mess up Whitesox.com The only thing I can think of is everytime you to mlb that realone check comes up.

This team needs some heart transplants.
-
Was it a mistake by Maggs? I'd have to think it was soley because he isn't really that importnat, I mean he's the go ahead run but the key is the tying run on 3rd. SOB, this is freaking pathetic. Isn't this the Tigers first sweep all season?
-
The whole team is showing off their abilities.

If your going to blame coaches, go directly to the source and blame Jerry Manuel. Its hard for guys to know their roles when he never tells them to them. I have no problem mixing around a lineup every once in a while, but have a system to it, not just what mood am I in today. I could see having a different lineup if Rowand or Harris is in center (Putting them in the 2 hole) but to have a new lineup every day no matter what is ridiculous.
-
Just that game vs Seattle. Lo has been the man.
-
Thats it, I'm changing things on this topic head. Its obvious its not the July 10th vs Detroit Sucks, but its the Who Sucks Worse Game Thread: Sox vs Detroit. Maybe that will put a spark in the Sox.
-
Thats it, someone email McFarland and say that Soxtalk is behind him and that they need to create more episodes

I'd say three of the very Top Prospects. He is a pitcher, which makes him more valuable then any of the guys the Sox acquired in trade. He also is younger and is the best pitcher in the AL (statistically speaking, although Halladay is damn good too). Mix that with the fact that he gets paid nothing this year and you have a cheap option (3.5 mill) on him next year, its a no brainer that the Sox could get a ton.
-
Heather I got a question. How long until you finally give up on Carlos Lee? The guy has one of the worse approaches at the plate (Next to Jose Valentin and Armando Rios) and while he has made some great catches defensively, those are catches that a good left fielder makes with ease (No need to dive for them). Last night that double over Carlos head would of been an out for a left fielder that gets good jumps. Carl Everett makes that catch. We know Everett can't play center anymore (I don't give a damn what Manuel says and how he needs to see him play a few more times out there; ugggh). Stick Everett in left and let Daubach DH. Daubach draws a ton of walks and is becoming one of my more favorite players cause he rarely gets himself out (Ie, stupid mistakes, swinging at balls, swinging for the fences). Take away the beginning of the season, you know, the part where Manuel never played Daubach, and Daubach is having a pretty damn good year. Why do the Sox have to keep playing guys that have half ass fundementals?
-
If the Sox aren't in the race at the end of July then I think there is a very good reason to move Loaiza. He could very well be a one year wonder and the value for him is incredibly high.
-
Thanks for the updates guys. I'm trying my best to follow at work. If things get bad I think I'll have to stop following to protect myself from breaking something
-
Agreed. He'll still get to play a full month of rookie ball (Thats if they sign him right after his season is over) and then next year he could be ready for a full season, who knows.

Im a "rookie leaguer" now how do i go to
