Cerb and I just did one this morning. Were going to get to work on new writeups this week. The list is going to look a whole lot different. We took everyones advice from last time and I think have put together a pretty accurate list. I also think it helps that we continue to learn more and more about the players. I also have a new favorite prospect, but I'll save that name till the list comes out; He'll be on the first writeup anyhow.

I agree with Rex. By 24 more of the better prospects are in the majors at one point or another, but most aren't stars at that point and it usually takes a few years for them to adjust. Joe Crede was top prospect last year and is going to be a very good player, but he was on the older side.

Definately agree with you on that. There are plenty of other important things, although its nice to have a player that can do all the other things and get on base.

Well, he probably feels if Kariya is the only one to go, then the Ducks will still be a good team. Dont know if he could say that about the Hawks, although I think they would of been pretty good if they added Ruutu and Federov.

That book was great. It was the fastest I've read a book in a long long time. Heck, its rare for me to finish a book (Damn school reading so freaking boring). I saw Beane about the same way Rex did. He's done some really good things and i like how he is more radical and doesn't just do things based on the baseball standpoint. Still, I agree with Rex, they put him on a Pedestal. Their is a bit of luck in every GM when it comes to getting players. No one can really predict the future, they can only say who has the best shot of being really good in it. In Beane's case he lucked out on a few guys in a sense (His Trio). Now I'll give him credit and all, but I can't think of too many times where three guys just came in and dominated that way. It will be interesting to see what he does this offseason. They lose Tejada and Foulke so they'll have to find a way to get a closer, unless they plan on using Valentine as their closer next year. I also don't think Beane understands what a loss Tejada will be. Its damn hard finding a shortstop like that. I do think Beane may have his eye on Jose this offseason if he could get him cheap. Not that Jose is an OBP guy. The thing I agreed most with Beane is his stance on OBP (Well mainly Deposdesta's).

Well I Wouldn't send him up to high a ball this year, but maybe low A ball if they eventually wanted to promote Sweeney to Great Falls and they'd have room to do that if Nanita or Anderson went to Kannapolis. I'm wondering, how often to guys in shortseason get promoted to A ball?

I did the same earlier, but all I got was the Sox were sitting him becasue he aggravated the college injury sliding into base. The baseball writers in Great Falls said that it was obvious that something more serious was wrong. Interesting to see if you get any more response from the team PR person. Ya, I'm hoping they give a little inside info or something I also asked for an update on Schnurstein.

I think KW would deal Frank, its JR that won't let him. Kw wants nothing to do with Frank.

I think the Tribe would move Milton Bradley. I think they are sick of him dogging it. He's been on the hotseat there for a while. Wedge doesn't put up with that. He gave Bradley a good lashing after screwing up on the bases in the game against the Sox. Something I"ve yet to see Manuel do to a player after they make a major goof. Not saying it shoudl be done if you make one mistake, but if you continually make them, then rip into the guy.

Backman is the only guy I'd want right now. I wouldn't have a problem with Fisk though. From what I've heard he was alwasy a really sharp player (I really never got to see him in his prime, only during the downside of his career). I wasn't impressed with his dissapearing act during the futures game, but thats not really something you spend a lot of time managing.

Damn that would be nice, cause i see this offense getting going. Mark B is the man. I don't give a damn, the Sox need to sign him and do it now. And I'd never trade him, if he does walk to St. Louis I'll be pissed, but I'd know that as a Sox he'll go down as one of my favorite pitchers of all time. And if he keeps pitching the way I think he can then he may go down as my favorite Sox pitcher ever.

I don't know much about Cron other then he's with Great Falls now and was with the Rockies AAA team last year. I think it would be pretty rare for a rookie ball guy to become a major league manager. I like Levya though.

Ya, Brandon Phillips is damn good. I'd love having him on the SouthSide. Another guy I like, although he's a lazy ass if Milton Bradley. The guy can rake and has all the ability.

I could definately see Guillen as a base coach for Wally Backman or some sort of a coach. Both preach the same style and such.

Are they freaking nuts. For cryin out loud is Paxon an absolute moron. I don't give a damn how much of a leader Pippen is, he's going to be useless in two years and the Bulls are going to have no options next year to get better. Just sign Posey and tell the fans that they tried to get Pip. Posey is a much better long term solution and I think he's a better player at this stage of the game anyway.
