  1. I think the one reason Thomas may get snubbed is his RBI totals are a little low considering. Still he is definately worthy.
  2. Quite possibly he will. Still, he's rather old for a prospect which hurts him, but he could find himself somewhere on there. I know a few guys that definately need to be added from the rookie team as well as Mike Spidale. The FutureSox team should be getting to work on a new list at some point this week.
  3. I still am dissapointed that Reed didn't get to play there, but oh well. Reed is a future star whether he's in the game or not.
  4. Use Lee to acquire Ponson and Ligthenberg. Now if a Carlos Lee package can get Perez and Mota or another reliever then I wouldn't have a problem with that either.
  5. The point was that we had designated Jiminez for assignment. He was going to walk as a free agent in a few days. No, the real point is or should be that he should have never been designated in the first place. Graffanino or Sanders should have been. Ugly, I'm with you on that. I never wanted Jimenez to go. The guy could of played 3rd, ss, or 2nd off the bench and when Alomar left then the Sox actually had a guy that could play, cause I don't want no walk Aaron Miles there. While I like Miles, he isn't the answer as a starter. I am a harris backer though.
  6. And with the rest being a crapshoot I really believe that closers are one of the most over-rated positions in baseaball. I don't buy into the some guys are just meant to close mentality. I think you give any guy that puts up good numbers into the closers role and he'll get quite a few saves and will raise his value. Thats not saying he is a great closer, its just saying he's a good pitcher and happened to find himself in the right role. Yes the last three outs are harder, but good pitchers get guys out no matter what the circumstance. Rocky Biddle is a great example of this. Gagne, Smoltz and Percival (When healthy) are about as automatic as it gets. Rivera was once in this class, but injuries have taken him out of it. After this list, its just not worth the money in my opinion.
  7. The Sox will be patient with Borchard and I still think he'll make it. Like I said before Richie is making adjustments and I have to think Joe will be able to figure things out. He's a smart kid and I really think he's pressing right now. I do think Joe may eventually drop being a switch hitter cause he has so much more pop from the left side of the plate or thats what I've noticed from watching him take bp a few times.
  8. I've noticed Rivera has been hitting the cover off the ball. Anyone else thikning that he's going to be the Sox backup catcher next year after Sandy retires and becomes a coach. Also, another good outing by Majewski. He seems to really be getting back in a groove.
  9. The cards. I am not seeing them at all now, on any of the threads. Thats weird, could have something to do with the cache, but I assure you that they are loading on my end and I'm guessing on all the other users ends. I wish I could give ya a better answer.
  10. I see the Sig. Do you have something below the cards that isn't showing up or do you mean the cards cause I do see the cards.
  11. I don't have Victor Zambrono's numbers on me, but I'd of voted for him. I can think of quite a few times this year that he pitched really good for the Drays.
  12. What is wrong with Mike Sweeney? I would love to see Frank make it, but I don't think the odds are too good considering he's going up against a Yankee in Giambi. Then again Thomas does have big time name recognition. I would love to see him playing in the all star game at his home park. I was shocked that Everett got in over him. I think that tells you that the players don't have a thing against Carl and they know he plays with heart and cares about winning (Not Knocking Frank; Just bringing up this point since the media always whined about Everett, but if there was a reason to whine playesr wouldn't of cared). Dontrell Willis is a stud. I'd be very dissapointed if he didn't make the game. He may of arrived late to the show his season, but his numbers are deservant of an all star birth. I agree, he'd be a good replacement for Brown. Rex, I completely agree with you that the tie didn't mean much. It was still a very exciting all star game and speaking for myself I really don't care who wins all that much, but I'm not a big national league or american league backer, I'm just a baseball backer. Also this whole All Star game meaning stuff is crap.
  13. Well Indy, I've lived in Cali all my life and am the same way. My family is from Chitown though (Moms side; She was born and raised on the Southside, but she isn't a huge baseball fan). I think I became a fan because of all the games I got to see on WGN and for some reason things clicked.
  14. Ya, couldn't tell ya where, but he's one of us cool SoCal posters
  15. I think on the most part most of the posters here could care less about the media bias and that they simply care about the Sox winning. If the Sox take care of business they wont' even have to worry about the media bias, cause there is no way you can put a bias on a World Series ring.
  16. I missed it. I remember someone mentioning Castillo being back a few days ago. Boy does that bring back memories. But without Castillo the Sox wouldn't have Tetsu Yofu. For those that don't know it, it was Castillo that made a call to a Sox scout and told him about Yofu or I think thats what happened.
  17. Vegas is about 3 hours from LA/OC.
  18. Now thats the spirit Rex.
  19. He didn't make the all star game cause he didn't have the numbers this year. The Cork incident had nothing to do with it, other then the fact that it kept him out of even more games (That and his toe injury).

    COFFEE or Tea?

Tea. I sure as hell don't drink coffee.
  21. Thats pretty cool. I may just have to dish out the 10 bucks and support that affiliate. Those are some pretty cool cards too.
  22. Well I don't think he'll get fired unless the Sox don't make the playoffs.
  23. You know someone will create a program to vote like a million or two times.
