I dunno. Everett is a pretty darn good player and I've been really pleased with him since joining the Sox. I think you could get some good value for him. Also remember if the Sox get compensation for him (If things work out that way) they get 2 first round picks most likely, which to me is way better value then what the Sox gave up.

Yep, him and Everett are very tradeable at this point cause neither of them make anything. Everett could be a good fit in Oakland, but that means dealing with Billy.

The big thing is, the Sox have to offer arbitration to get draft picks and via arbitration players can only take a 20% paycut, meaning the Sox are risking those guys coming back for one year deals at quite a bit of money. Right now I wonder if anyone will give Alomar or Everett close to what they are making. If they get 4 picks for them like they could, then I'd be happy with it.

I think having Wunsch back at the form he was most of this season would be huge. I still like Dave Sanders future in the pen. Opponents don't hit well off him and I think he'll be a sucessful reliever.

Right now I'm gonna just go with the thought if he works on his pitching then he'll be fine. He may not be as good as before, but he'll still be solid. Koch is a battler, has a closers intensity and I still like the guy. He is firey and I think nothing pisses him off more then his performance since joining the Sox. I have to believe he'll pull through this.

I'd definately live with that. I'd really like Posey and Piatkowski if it could happen.

Wow that weird. I was just reading that story and then you posted this thread. I think Posey is a decent 2nd choice. What made me mad is pippen is being given respect and still seems to be playing the field. s*** let him go elsewhere, lets sign Posey. Lol, I just finished reading it and was kind of shocked. I was thinking geeze, it should be a no brainer that Posey would be a better pickup. And maybe, they could get him for a little less then the full exception, meaning they could offer someone more like 2 mill or 2.15 mill for Jay Will's injury exception. Then they'd have a better shot at Newble or whatever his name is. They'd just have to hope Houston doesn't match.

I didn't know that he was available, but if you ask me he's a better option then Pippen. Posey is a good athlete and is supposed to be a very solid defensive player. I'd really like having him starting at the three. While I'm a huge Pippen fan, Posey is on the upside of his career and the Bulls could lock him up at the exception for a few years and know that Posey will only get better and he is already a better option then what they've used in the past. Plus, their are much better odds that Posey can stay healthy then Pippen.

They signed him to a six year extension. Heard it during the Sox game. Great move by the Bears

I think it could of been up, but I'm thinking it mainly had to do with his location being on and he was mixing speeds. If you mix speeds, when you throw your fastball it will appear a lot faster. Its kind of like how some real good lefties can throw 88 but hitters would tell ya its like a 94 MPH fastball. Arm Angles can also lead to things like this. Such as a hitter who can hide the ball for a long time. I think part of this is why Dontrell Willis is so good, that and the fact that he misses low with everything.

I remember when he played for the Sox, I kept hoping he would find a way to make it back and still be able to play baseball.

Yep, he could do it all. For a while people thought he'd be the greatest ever. It really is too bad what happened to him in Cinncy. The guy demanded to get traded home, signed for a discount and things just never worked out. I hope somehow he can get healthy and at least knock out 500 homers. Damn was he fun to watch. Speaking of fun to watch and injuries, I'll always wonder what would of been if Bo Jackson never got injured playing football. My goodness was that guy amazing. Speed, Power, Size. He could of went down as the best running back ever and one of the best baseball players ever. BO KNOWS...

He was amazing and he loved playing the game. Frank was incredible too.

He's got a good arm. Of course the odds of him or any other catcher developing are incredibly low. I think catchers probably have the highest failure rate. Usually the best athletes are moved from catcher at younger ages so they aren't around in highschool, although their are rare exceptions. Plus, there is just so much to catching that its hard for them to concentrate on all the areas. Instead of just working on hitting and defense like most players, they must learn proper footwork, work on blocking the balls, work on good throwing mechanics, and work on calling games. Hitting is about the last thing on their mind, and typically its the one thing they need to do decent to keep a job or at least become a starter.

Agreed. I'll put the blame on Colon, Sanders (Although he hasn't had much work) and Thomas for his damn baserunning blunder.

Actually in hindsight I'd say the Alomar deal was the worse deal. The problem with the Everett deal is he isn't a centerfielder and that they should of packaged Lee for pitching and then acquired Everett. To this day I still wish the Sox had Jimenez.
