  1. Yep, Mike is right. Thats why I always say we'd make good Co-Gms. He can be the statitician and tell me who has the great stats. Then I'll be like the old time scouts and be like, but that guy has breasts.
  2. Come on everybody, lets just chill. To utter some famous words; "Can't We All Just Get Along".
  3. While todays game sucks, it is just 1 out of 162 games. Were right there, and have just acquired two very good hitters. The starting pitching is really good and we have a pretty solid bullpen, its just in need of an additional swing man and a healthy Koch. No one is going to tell me there isn't something wrong with Koch. Still, the guy does have decent numbers since the start of the season (Under 3 last 24 or so). I just am worried that something is wrong with him. Things get bad, but this team is still good and they will bounce back. I'm very confident in that fact. Yes, this game sucked horribly, but whether we lose 20-0 or in this fashion its still a loss and thats that. The Sox can't think about this one, but only put it aside and win the next two and take the series and then move onto the next. We aren't going to win them all, the Sox are going to blow games, and thats the fact. This is the one that sucks cause the Sox let it slip away, but hte fact is they played damn good ball for 8 innings (The Sox) and one bad inning. The talent and team is there and they will win, they will go deep.
  4. It has to do with your cookies I'm guessing. You'll want to delete your cookies. Then it should work perfect.
  5. And in case ya don't know Cotts, the green is for sarcasm.
  6. This is a big loss cause its against Tampa Bay. Sox had the chance to get one game over .500 I am a big Koch backer, but I'm scared s***less because he has no movement and its really hard to get away with that at 88 MPH. I'd really like to swing a deal for Urbina and unload Koch somewhere else.
  7. f***. Koch gets rocked. Fastball was being clocked around 88
  8. Yes, another bbq very soon. In between enough time to watch two innings of the ball game. Daubie is really crushing the ball.
  9. Damaso has a 1-2-3 eighth inning and we go to the ninth with a 2-1 lead.
  10. Hope your having a great BDAY Alex. You've done a hell of a job doing things around here. For your present, I promise not to give you any stats this week Have a good one (Thats Rootbeer)
  11. Glad all is going well in Europe. And I hope that predictoin you made was the same one I made and it has the Sox finishing the season by beating the LA Dodgers or any other national league foe.
  12. Top list? Ooooooooooooooooooooooo-kay. double, we actually agree for once...... I thought this list is somewhat weak for what I thought it might have been. Hell, if they let us pick the players, we could give them 4 guys from this list and not miss a beat. Don't get me wrong, there is talent on this list, but the Sox have better. Well I don't really care anymore if they take Ruddy Yan cause I am convinced he'll never hit enough to turn into an everyday major leaguer. Josh Rupe is the only guy on that list that I'd like to keep and I'm guessing he's the one guy the Rangers really want. But I can live with that. Also, to get Beltran we'd have two give up Webster, Honel, and Cotts or something like that.
  13. There was a minor server thing yesterday that I know of, about a minute down. Typically if its down its just a minute period or so and its cause they are restarting the server. One of these hopefully I can get a server where its only us on it.
  14. Yep Happy Birthday Alex and Happy Bday BMR I'm sure you both got big plans for today like BBQ's etc. Hmmm, barbeque, can't wait till later...
  15. The on base part is the sixth tool. Arm strength is the fifth.
  16. Welcome aboard. I like the idea of getting Tejada as long as the Sox don't lose everything. Jose is a valuable player though and I fear Reed is going to be lost in this trade. Since were only renting him, I'd rather make a push at Giles or a stud reliever or starter.

The questoin is which set up man makes it cause usually its only one of them. I'd give the nod to Donnelly of the Angels over Damaso, if they take two, Damaso would get my vote.
  19. My own prediction with Reed is that he will be a solid power hitter, somewhere around 20 homers a season. He'll be a really good 2 or 3 hole hitter, imo. I still really think he's a similar guy to Erstad. Does everything good and is going to be a fan favorite. I still think he'll be a starter at some point next year, depending on the situation. Guys that draw walks and have a good eye as well as speed, tend to advance much quicker and have a quicker learning curve.
  20. I take Reed over Webster simply because the stats. Reed is a very good athlete himself and is putting up awesome numbers and is going to be a good major leaguer. Dealing Reed would of ticked me off a lot more then losing Webster. Webster may have raw ability but he's yet to put up anywhere near as good of numbers as Reed. Webster is really young though and does have some good upside, but a lot can happen. I am a pretty big fan of Webster cause he has shown good discipline for a guy his age (Reeds discipline is amazing; You could call him Youkilis Greek God of Walks and I am with those that like Nanita quite a bit. The kid has just as much upside as Webster if not more. We dealt one raw guy but in the draft added another, and did it in the 14th round if I recall.
  21. Hunter saves a run a game. If you do a chart on the runs he scored mixed with what he saves and I think you'll find he's well worth it.
  22. 100,000 posts or one baby
  23. I didn't say it would happen. I said it would blow my socks off.
