  1. In the bottom of the 6th Konerko got on board with one out, but Lee, Crede and Olivo got out. I'm pretty sure it was Konerko that got on.
  2. Ponson should be losing. The Sox have hit him, of course they haven't been able to get the key it (LIKE USUAL). Although I'm still pissed about that play mora made, but the Sox got to just get over that and score 5 or 6 runs.

I think we will see Rios quite a bit more in the Twins series. The Sox are gonna have to be playing though cause its going to be a huge series. First they have to score some more runs and sweep the Orioles.
  4. You don't know how happy I was when big MO left Anaheim. I still remember being at opening day when he fell in the dugout. I made a typical smarkass remark saying, sprained ankle, he's done for the year. Turns out he pretty much was . Whenever you have a lot of weight, any top of leg/knee/ankle injury is almost impossible to overcome.
  5. Since you waited till the end of the credits too, let me ask you this, didn't it seem like that movie employed an entire city. Geeze, the damn credits took an hour or so it seemed.

Sampras wife is so hot. Now come on SPURS!!!!!!!!!!!
  7. Top of the 6th (2-2) -Leadoff single (First hit since the second inning) -Double Play -Mora flies out deep to center, but Harris is there. I also heard earlier in the game that the Sox use the Juggs gun. Is that the gun where they get the reading from when the ball leaves the arm, or the one that tracks the ball at a closer point? I know one has a higher reading then the other, but I don't really know which is which. -Due up in the Bottom of the 6th Lee Konerko Crede My PTC Konerko is gonna come through

Frank is standing much more upright and has reopned his stance which is in my opinion good for him. I also think a lot has to do with him not pressing himself. Once you get a couple of hits you can kind of relax and sometimes thats all the doctor ordered. In frank's case I'm sure more was involved, but I hope this is a sign that the old Frank is back and not something that is gonna last for a week and then go away.

I went with Patterson because speed only matters when a runner is on base, plus I think he can flat fly. I hope Harris somehow pans out.
  10. f***in Mora! Damn he's taking hits away like it's nothing! Robbed Maggs of a double. I was on the phone and just started swearing to my buddy and he's like what the hell. Then I'm like ehh, you know me, I'm talking about the Sox now. But damn, he robs Jose and Magglio of doubles.
  11. In the bottom of the fifth Jimenez had a one out infield single. Then Valentin drilled one to dead center but Mora had an awesome jump and made a very good catch. (TWO Down, runner on first) Frank Thomas hit a single to center, putting runners on 1st and 2nd with Maggs at the plate. O-E-O MAGGLIO
  12. Well to me LOTR and X2 were better then Matrix. But I've heard some people on the radio agree with Murcie's sentiments. Awesome special effects and the movie was really good.

    Yep, Jenkings robbed him.
  14. Don't hold your breath, I don't find it too likely right now that Rowand will be ready before Borchard or at the pace those two are going Reed may just step on past the two of them (Kind of sarcasticly, but the development of Borchard has been dissapointing to say the least).
  15. I'm with you in regards to Manuel (ISDEER). If he hasn't been calling the shots then he's a ball-less manager and there is no point having a guy around that can't even stick up for himself. If he can't stick up for himself, how is he going to stick up for his own players, etc. Maybe thats why he never goes out of the dugout. I still stick to my theory, KW seems arrogant as hell, but I think he's a good GM. This team has all the talent and I don't blame KW for the guys not coming through. He isn't the hitting coach, he isn't the manager, he isn't on the field every game. He puts the pieces there and lets the managers and players do the rest and if they need more pieces, its his job to evaluate who to get and if its worth it, etc. He had a hell of an offseason and I think we'll eventually all figure that out. So he's traded Kip and Fogg away (I still say Kip is the only one that is going to be good out of that trade; one that I never liked from day one while 70% of the fans loved the Ritchie deal). He has acquired one of the best young 2nd baseman in the majors (Like it or not, so far Jimenez is producing that way) a hell of a catcher, Bartolo Colon and then made nice pickups like Loaiza (I'm sure he never saw this happening though), Flash, White (Looked good at the time), etc. I know I'm leaving plenty out. I don't even consider the Clayton deal bad because he got what we needed, in my mind. In his mind he got Clayton and was going to package him elsewhere (This has been reported many times) but ended up getting stuck with him because he had no value. My guess is he was looking to deal Clayton and a prospect for another shortstop and the other team backed out or something along those lines. So to me, the Ritchie fiasco and the Boomer fiasco can be the two looked at horribly. Boomer blew his back, I don' blame injuries on a gm. Just like I won't blame the Jays gm for getting damaged goods in Sirotka. The trade was a wash either way. Sox hoped it would give them post season experience and it didn't, cause he got hurt. Had he stayed healthy and had most of the Sox stayed healthy that year, who knows what would of happened. In regards to the Ritchie deal, it stunk from day one in my mind, but when Ritchie made his debut with the Sox and for that first month he looked pretty freaking good and I was about to eat my words. Then somethinig happened. Either way, Olivo, Jimenez, Marte, Yan, etc makes up for it in my mind. Can I also say Emencio Pacheco for Sandy Alomar. Pacheco has a studly arm and we got Alomar back in the offseason. How bout Diaz for Lofton (ALthough Diaz has struggled, he's got a world class arm). Maybe I'm just too far away from things to get the full perspective, but to me KW has done a hell of a lot more good then bad. I know their is the whole talk about him interferring, but I really say if thats the case then Manuel is ball-less and I still can't see something like this happening (Your still awesome though Michelle ) Right now its the players underachieving. I think you can make a case in point for Manuel underachieving and I won't cry if either of the guys the top go, but to point the blame on all the superstars not hitting would be unfair to the both of them. Now since Gary Ward's sole job is to be the hitting coach, the blame will be pointed plenty at him and he should be gone.
  16. He's done fine with the bullpen. Continually playing Jose against lefties even though he is hitting around .150 against him (I think its even less) is the stupidest thing he could do. Well its the second stupidest. There are also a lot of times where I feel the Sox are in a good position to bunt or run a hit and run and they don't do it. These aren't things I call after the fact, but before the fact. I don't second guess a manager. If I didn't complain in the first place, then if the move backfires I'm not going to complain because likely I would of done the same thing or it just wasn't a bad move at the time. He gets a lot of scrutiny. The things I'd do different is get Rios and Daubach more at bats and have Graffy start every game against a lefty, with Jose sitting out 90% of all games against a lefty. Then on ocassions against righties give Jimenez some rest by putting Graffy on 2nd or let Harris play 2nd with Rios in center, giving the Sox some more lefthanded bats.

I'll say one thing, patterson is about as clutch as it gets thus far this season.
  18. I agree it was really kick ass. The only thing that sucked about it was getting at home at 4 am only to get back up and go to school for an 8am class. Great movie though.
  19. My pick to click is Paul Konerko.
  20. Message me with the exact name you want and then I'll go in and simply edit your ESPNJohn name to whatever the new name is. The only change would be your login id but the password would be the same and the post totals will stay correct. I know what you mean about the code. Stupid bug in the code that I can't find.

Ok, will hop on right now.
  22. Ya, I think quite a few went to the game today. I'd be in there, but I have to figure out how to fix internet explorer first.
  23. Ya I was reading through it during parts of work, entertaining everyone in the office with it. I could just picture you doing something like this Ian, lol.
  24. Carlos Lee is stranded on third. Rios was able to get him over with one out, but that was about it. Konerko ripped one that went just foul and eventually grounded out and Crede did the same. To the top of the 3rd, 1-0 Sox.
  25. First I ever saw of that site, some funny remarks over there.
