I was at that game at Anaheim Stadium...it was so cool. Every time I'm ever their the Sox lose (i got to pretty much every game they play) and finally they made the comeback and it was awesome. I was on the tv, you could hear my voice screaming in the background.

I woke up this morning to the sounds of ESPN Radio and they were talking that a Bartolo Colon to Florida deal is the latest possibility and that they are discussing a package that will include Brad Penny and most likely a couple prospects. If thats indeed true, then its going to cost the Sox a decent amount to outbid Florida. I still think we could do it, without giving up one of our key guys. Malone, West, and an infield prospect or throw in Josh Stewart.

I'd like to include Honel in that list. Also, Borchard wouldn't be untoucheable if it landed us Dunn or Vladdy

As far as Jackson goes, I ask one questions, does he really have the numbers that put him in the hall? I know the numbers are deflated because he didn't play his entire career, and the committee will make exceptions if the player had a career ending injury or something along those lines, but I just can't see them making exceptions for a guy who was kicked out because he took money (No one can deny this) and although he never through the game, it was still taking money and I would agree he would have to serve his suspension. As far as Rose goes, I'd be real happy if he never made it into the hall, especially in his lifetime, but I also think the hall is for the best in the history of the majors and I think once he dies, their would be no problem putting him in, because he was one of the greatest to ever live.

Then go further on to ask them how they plan on building a world series baseball team, when they are cutting the payroll by 17-18 million. I'd like to know if they could point at any other team in Major League History that made that kind of cut on their payroll and was able to win the world series that year.

I'm not too sure how much of it is. I just heard on the radio that the Marlins are close to acquiring Colon for a package that will include Brad Penny.

Ya, we plan on starting some updates. Right now I've been way over myself, doing so many different things that I haven't had any time to write. I'm going to work on a minor league piece this weekend. I'll find the links tomorrow..gonna get some sleep right now.

I don't care, they are both aces in my book. Whose #1 and 2 depends soley on the order, not on the talent. Look at Johnson and Schilling...I don't think they care who is classified as the ace, they are both aces. This would be an unbelievable pickup and I sure hope the sox can do it.

Hopefully that something happening isn't the White Sox coming to terms with Todd Rithchie, well I'm not against it, if we end up then dealing Wright for Colon or even better a couple mid level prospects for Colon.

Oh ya, as far as some other questions, I want you to ask him what the payroll is going to be set at, and if he says some lowball total or he doesn't know. Ask him where the extra money that will be coming in this season is going to go. I love the quarter idea.

Ya, money was definately the reason they didn't make the move. It angers me the Sox didn't spend the money, but if they were to get Colon at a reasonable price and lock him up long term, I'd easily forget.

Hollie will have a good year with the Marlins, especially if he starts and stays healthy. The guy has a lot of talent and is a real good hitter. I wish him all the best. I've been a fan of Hollandsworth since he was rookie of the year with the Dodgers back in like 96 or 98.

Well, if taking time ensures that they will make a good deal by the start of the season, then I'll wait, but with the Sox, taking time just means they aren't going to get anyone...usually. I do think they is a 50% shot we get Colon or Vazquez though, I just got a good feeling.

I know Gary and I plan on talking about the Cubs a bit. Most of our plans will be to talk about the Sox, Bears, Bulls, and playoff football in general.

I think we end up dealing down in the first round, for someone who wants to make us an offer we can't refuse for Leftwich.
